Today I remembered that I can still do it đđ˝
- favorite part of my day
Habits of successful students
Discipline: âdiscipline is doing what needs to be done, even when you donât want toâ, which means that you have to force yourself to start doing things.Â
Concentration: when you make a real effort in your work (study, homeworks etcâŚ) you will be more likely to actually focus, understand and learn.Â
Organization: always set tasks and goals and organize a study-schedule. Maybe you donât really want to plan all the week, but if you just wake up and open your agenda/bullet journal/iphone calendar and write down all the things you have to do, setting due dates and deadlines, youâll feel more conscious and encouraged to stay on track.Â
Tasks-splitting: sometimes, you write down your tasks. Some of these tasks may be very hard and complicated, and it will take a long long time to complete them. So, you can split them in smaller tasks, so you will feel satisfied after a shorter period of time, instead of studying for hours and still seeing that chapter undone on your study-schedule.Â
Watch the sunrise: when I wake up late, I feel like I donât have enought time to do my work and lose my motivation. I literally panic and then I think âwhatever, I could not complete all the things anywayâ. So, if you wake up earlier you will feel more positive and  controlled.Â
Smart reading: try not to read your textbook just like a newspaper. For every paragraph you read, try to underline and write down key words and then your question about that subject. Literally, turn your textbook into questions. If you write down question - particularly whyâŚ? - and think about the answer, you will be more likely to remember that stuff later.Â
Healthy lifestile: if you donât drink enough water in the morning, you will be more likely to have a decrease of concentration in the afternoon/evening, so: stay hydrated. Try also to have some snaks every one-two hours: feed your brain.Â
I have you covered for Valentineâs Day!

Celebrating African-American Social Dance
This is the Bop. The Bop is a type of social dance. Dance is a language, and social dance is an expression that emerges from a community. A social dance isnât choreographed by any one person. It canât be traced to any one moment. Each dance has steps that everyone can agree on, but itâs about the individual and their creative identity Because of that, social dances bubble up, they change, and they spread like wildfire. They are as old as our remembered history.
In African-American social dances, we see over 200 years of how African and African-American traditions influenced our history. The present always contains the past. And the past shapes who we are and who we will be.
Now, social dance is about community and connection; if you knew the steps, it meant you belonged to a group. But what if it becomes a worldwide craze? Enter the Twist.
Itâs no surprise that the Twist can be traced back to the 19th century, brought to America from the Congo during slavery. But in the late â50s, right before the Civil Rights Movement, the Twist is popularized by Chubby Checker and Dick Clark. Suddenly, everybodyâs doing the Twist: white teenagers, kids in Latin America, making its way into songs and movies. Through social dance, the boundaries between groups become blurred.
The story continues in the 1980s and '90s. Along with the emergence of hip-hop, African-American social dance took on even more visibility, borrowing from its long past, shaping culture and being shaped by it. Today, these dances continue to evolve, grow and spread.
Why do we dance? To move, to let loose, to express.
Why do we dance together? To heal, to remember, to say:Â âWe speak a common language. We exist and we are free.â

Clitbait: 10 things you didnât know about the clitoris
On Saturday night, Alli Sebastian Wolf delivered a sex-ed lesson in one of the worldâs most famous performance venues. The Australian artist was pulled on to the stage of the Sydney Opera Houseâs Concert Hall at the request of the musician Amanda Palmer, who had seen Wolfâs recent piece âGlitorisâ online.
Itâs much as it sounds: a giant, sparkling clitoris, a 100:1 scale model of the real thing, covered in intricate, sequinned ânervesâ so that it lights up the room âlike a divine disco ballâ, says Wolf.
âItâs really interesting to me just how few people know about how the clitoris works, or what it looks like. I personally didnât know until I was in my mid-20s, which seems like just such a shame.â
1. A clitoris is like an iceberg
Mostly invisible below the surface, wrapping around the vaginal tunnel and extending out towards the thighs. â
2. There are more than 8,000 nerve endings in the tip of the clitoris alone â double the number of those in a penis
A clitoris is made up of 18 distinct parts â a mixture of erectile tissue, muscle and nerves. âAll those little pieces are working together to create the amazing sensations that anyone with a clitoris feels when theyâre having orgasms.â
3. They can swell as much as 300% when engorged
Clitorises range from 7-12 cm in length and swell by 50 to 300% when engorged when aroused. Itâs not âa zero to 100 situationâ, says Wolf, but as you draw closer to orgasm, it increases in size.
4. G-spot and penetrative orgasms are clitoral
Both stimulate internal parts of the clitoris. âYou can come from these different places that are all using the clitoris but using it in different ways,â says Wolf.
5. âClitâ is relatively recent terminology
The first recorded use of the word âclitâ was in America in the 1950s.
âClitorisâ dates back to the 17th century and could derive from words for âsheathâ, âkeyâ or âlatchâ, or âto touch or tickleâ, says Wolf.       Â
6. It is the only known body part with the sole purpose of pleasure âŚ
But one in 10 women has never had an orgasm â and most, at some point, will have âa hard timeâ reaching orgasm with a partner, says Wolf.
She blames a âculture of shameâ surrounding female sexuality that suppresses scientific research and personal exploration.
7. ⌠But it has not always been just a good time
Throughout history, doctors have advocated for the removal of the clitoris to cure mental illnesses such as depression and schizophrenia, or âthis pesky problem of women âunnaturallyâ desiring sexâ, says Wolf.
8. The clitoris can form a penis â and vice versa
9. It is the only part of the human body that never ages     Â
An 80-year-old clit looks and works the same as a 20-year-old one. But it does keep growing â it could be 2.5 times as big in your 90s as it was in your teen years.
âTheyâre weird, fabulous little creatures,â says Wolf happily. (Your nose also continues to grow past the point you reach your maximum height.)
10. Every clit is unique

Pulmonary emboli usually arise from thrombi that originate in the deep venous system of the lower extremities; however, they rarely also originate in the pelvic, renal, upper extremity veins, or the right heart chambers. After traveling to the lung, large thrombi can lodge at the bifurcation of the main pulmonary artery or the lobar branches and cause hemodynamic compromise.
Pulmonary thromboembolism is not a disease in and of itself. Rather, it is a complication of underlying venous thrombosis. Under normal conditions, microthrombi (tiny aggregates of red cells, platelets, and fibrin) are formed and lysed continually within the venous circulatory system.
