Where *for reasons* Lucy has to take care of an injured!ghoul while she deals with a world where most ghouls have turned feral.

And the ghoul has to rely on her for protection?

Some assholes at the local watering hole they pull up to decide to give her a hard time but *suddenly* back off.

Lucy thinking it was her smile and logical reasoning that did the trick?

Then realized for Cooper that would mean after 200 years of guilt and regret, finally forgiving his past self and embracing healing.

And for Lucy that would mean accepting the darker side of herself she will likely need to embrace in order to secure a future for herself and those she cares about.

Like the fact Lucy would be a terrible improv liar. Which would lead to the most hilarious situations.

If she were to be in a position where she needed to think up a fake name on the fly in order to infiltrate the Enclave she would be awful at it.

Like, for example:

Enclave lackey: what did you say your name was Miss?

Lucy: um...my name....is...

Lucy, my name is Lucy Maclean but I can't say that out loud. Lucy starts with an L so...

Lucy: Elle! My name is Elle. (Feeling smug)

Enclave lackey: Okay. Elle what?

Lucy (panicking): fictional name, what's a fictional name I know.... Fictional characters I know....Cooper Howard ..

Lucy: Howard! Elle Howard!

And then the ghoul running into her during her infiltration and having to keep a straight face when she's introduced to him with his surname like .... 😂 What. The. Actual. Fuck. Darlin'.

Hancock (eyeing Cooper): So, sister. THIS is your ghoul?

Lucy: Wha- no. He's not my anything.

Hancock: Sure, sure.

Lucy: He's really not. I mean... what does that even mean exactly?

Hancock: Well, you see. In my experience, whenever a pretty little thing such as yourself pops her head outta' a vault, she finds herself a ghoul and imprints on him.

Cooper: *snortles*

Lucy: Yeah that definitely didn't happen. Like at all. Not even a little bit.

Hancock: (eyeing them suspiciously) Whatever you say, sister.

Lucy: Seriously. He's the worst. He cut off my finger! (Holds up finger)

Cooper: Now sweetheart, you gotta' tell the whole story. That was only after you chewed mine off like the lil' killer you are.

Lucy: Because you lassoed me and sold me to an organ dealer!

Cooper: Because SOMEONE went and smashed all my vials. Ya' know, the ones I need to keep me from running around with my arms windmillin'--

Lucy: --and THAT only happened because I was trying to fight off the gulper you tried to feed me to--

Cooper: (pointing finger in Lucy's face) Now I've told you before I wasn't FEEDING you to 'im, I was--

Both: "--using you/me as bait!"

(both glaring at each other with their finger in each other's face)

Lucy: Is--is that my finger?!

Cooper: smirks

And the poster will be for her head or at the very least DEAD or alive and we all know what that means in the wasteland.

And this COULD be the plot device to bring the ghoul and Lucy back together because when he sees that he'll know the danger she's in and he's the best bounty hunter around and HAS to get to her first or else she's dead.

Or maybe I'm in fanfiction mode already in my head XD I am thirsty to know what his reaction would be when he saw a Wanted poster with her face plastered on it. If he'd turn his ass around for her if he saw it before getting to Colorado (though honestly that whole thing needs to get resolved).

And I have a feeling they are gonna be apart for the majority of the season while Lucy goes through more character development just like Lucy/Max were separated this season 😭 hopefully not though I have a feeling that will be the case.
