So I had this amazing plan to travel alone for my birthday. I was all set to explore the beautiful destination of La Union (LU). But guess what? When I spilled the beans to my friends about my little adventure, they were like, "Hold up, we wanna come too!" Well, how could I resist the chance to have a fun-filled trip with my favorite people? Without wasting a moment, I grabbed my phone and booked our tickets for a bus ride to La Union. Our departure date? None other than July 21, 2019 - a perfect Sunday to kick off the birthday celebrations!

During our trip to La Union, we had the pleasure of staying at Editha's Residencia in Baccuit Norte. Let me tell you, it was a hidden gem! If you're planning a trip to this wonderful place, I highly recommend checking out their Facebook page for reservations. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Editha's Residencia in Baccuit Norte offers a convenient pathway to the beach, allowing easy access to the stunning coastal views. Just head out of the residence and take a leisurely stroll towards the beachfront. You'll be treated to a scenic route surrounded by the captivating beauty of La Union.

As for our dining experiences, our first meal in La Union was at Mang Inasal. Our hunger got the best of us, so unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to snap any photos.

For our second meal, we decided to unwind at Clean Beach Cafe. Not only did we indulge in some scrumptious food, but we also enjoyed the relaxing ambiance and the comforting sound of crashing waves in the background.

La Union offers the perfect combination of delicious food and stunning views. One of the highlights of our trip was dining at "The View", a beachfront restaurant that provided a breathtaking backdrop for our meal. The amazing scenery made every bite even more enjoyable.

On top of the stunning views, restaurant also had live music, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience. Despite a light drizzle, we had a fantastic time, laughing and sharing unforgettable moments with my two crazy friends, Xari and Glenn. (Hi Xari and Glenn, I miss you guys!) As if there gonna see this post. Haha :)

It sounds like the only thing missing from here was a cold beer to complete the fun! Hahaha! Cheers to creating unforgettable memories in La Union!

We decided to visit Flotsam & Jetsam Artist Beach, known as the spot where artistas hang out. Hahaha! However, when we arrived, it was still early in the day, so the party vibe wasn't in full swing yet. We decided to return at night to see the lively atmosphere, but unfortunately, it was quite crowded and we couldn't squeeze in to get our hands on some beer. The place was buzzing with people!

Nonetheless, we still had a great time taking in the vibrant energy and unique ambiance of Flotsam & Jetsam.

On our final day, we couldn't leave La Union without treating ourselves to the best halo-halo in town. That's why we made sure to visit Halo-Halo de Iloko.

We were greeted with a wide array of colorful ingredients and toppings of halo-halo. From sweet fruits and creamy leche flan to crunchy pinipig and silky coconut strands, every spoonful was a delightful mix of flavors and textures.

The refreshing combination of crushed ice, sweetened beans, and a drizzle of evaporated milk made each bite a true delight. It was the perfect treat to cap off our amazing La Union adventure.

I've been on hiatus for quite some time, but today I finally decided to share on my Tumblr all the amazing travels I've had in the past years that I never got around to posting. It feels so good to look back on all those memories and see them in one place on this blog.

My boyfriend, Mark, and I decided to take a week-long vacation to explore my hometown, Naga City. We were excited to delve into the rich culture and experience the hidden gems of this vibrant city. Our first stop on our adventure was none other than Biggs's Diner.

As we walked into the nostalgic diner, we were greeted by the warm ambiance and the delightful aroma of classic comfort food. The menu offered a mouthwatering selection of burgers, fries, milkshakes, and other tasty treats.

It was the perfect way to kick off our week-long escapade in Naga City, creating beautiful memories and savoring the flavors of home.

During our exploration of Naga City, we decided to visit Bigg's Diner Robinsons Naga Branch, a location I had not yet experienced. It dawned on me that this branch had opened when I had already relocated to Manila for work.

As we stepped foot inside, I instantly fell in love with the ambiance of the place. The retro-inspired decor and cozy atmosphere created a welcoming and nostalgic vibe. It reminded me of the theme at my workplace in Anonas, adding a touch of familiarity to our dining experience.

We savored our meal, indulging in the delicious food while relishing the reminiscent atmosphere. It was a delightful discovery to find such a charming branch of Bigg's Diner in my hometown.

I couldn't resist ordering my ultimate favorite, the BIGG DEAL. For just Php 165.00, it came with garlic bread, Italian spaghetti, barbecue, and original crispy chicken. Each bite was a delicious combination of flavors that left me completely satisfied.

Mark really wanted to try the Tower Burger at Bigg's Diner in Naga City. But, unfortunately, it wasn't available when we went there. So, we decided to go ahead and try the EXTREME SUPREME BURGER instead, which cost Php 135.00.

Even though our plans changed, the EXTREME SUPREME BURGER was really tasty. It had juicy beef, melted cheese, crispy bacon, and fresh toppings. While we missed out on the Tower Burger, we still enjoyed our meal and left feeling satisfied.

I remember celebrating countless special occasions in Bigg's Diner. From birthdays and anniversaries to get-togethers with friends, this place holds a special significance in my heart. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the delicious food, made each celebration truly memorable.

Whether it was blowing out candles on a mouthwatering cake or toasting with loved ones over a hearty meal, Bigg's Diner provided the perfect backdrop for these cherished moments. The staff always went above and beyond to make our celebrations extra special, adding a personal touch to each occasion.

In the heart of Naga City, along Elias Angeles St., stands the magnificent Metropolitan Cathedral Church. This stunning church holds a special place in my heart, as it is located right beside my Alma mater, Universidad de Santa Isabel. The Metropolitan Cathedral Church is a true gem in Bicol, boasting extraordinary beauty and grandeur. From the moment you lay eyes on its majestic facade, you can't help but be in awe of its architectural marvels. Stepping inside, you'll be greeted by a serene and sacred atmosphere. The intricate details of the interior, the elegant stained glass windows, and the awe-inspiring altar create a sense of reverence and tranquility. As I've visited many churches, I can confidently say that the Metropolitan Cathedral Church is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. It exudes a unique charm that captivates visitors and leaves a lasting impression.

Whether you are a religious devotee, an architecture enthusiast, or simply seeking a place of peace and contemplation, the Metropolitan Cathedral Church is a must-visit destination in Naga City.

The Metropolitan Cathedral Church in Naga City has undergone a stunning transformation over the years. I remember it with white walls, but now it boasts a striking black exterior. This unique change has made the cathedral look even more gorgeous and distinct from other churches I've visited.

Within the grounds of the Naga Cathedral stands a pavilion, serving as a shelter for the image of the Lady of Peñafrancia after the significant processions. This includes the Traslacion, which takes place on the first Friday of September from the Basilica to the Naga Cathedral, as well as the Fluvial procession on the 8th day of the devotion from the Naga Cathedral to the Basilica along the Bicol River. The pavilion serves as a safe haven and resting place for the revered image, providing a serene atmosphere for devotion and reflection. It holds special significance during these processions, acting as a temporary abode for the Lady of Peñafrancia.

The ceilings of the Metropolitan Cathedral Church are adorned with a unique art technique called "Trompe-l'œil." This technique creates an optical illusion, making the painted objects appear three-dimensional instead of flat. It adds depth and realism to the artwork, making it truly captivating. In addition, the cathedral has undergone extensive renovation and restoration, bringing it back to its former glory. Every aspect of the cathedral has been carefully revitalized, ensuring its historical and cultural significance is preserved for generations to come.

The grand altar of the Metropolitan Cathedral Church is truly magnificent. It is the center of attention, radiating beauty and reverence. The careful design and detailed decorations create a sacred atmosphere, making it a place of worship and prayer.

Porta Mariae, meaning "Marian Gate" in Latin, is a stunning arch in Naga City. Standing at 36 feet tall and 59 feet wide, it features a beautiful 10-foot brass image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia. This architectural marvel has become a popular attraction, often compared to iconic structures like the Triumphal Arch in Mexico and the Arc de Triomphe in France.

I never heard about Pechelito’s Place before until we went there to celebrate Chinese New Year.  It is located in Magarao, Camarines Sur.

This resort  has a pool, a restaurant and a firing range and a boating and fishing lagoon, but when we get there we didn’t see any fish. They also have several accommodations and cottages.  And room had a scenic balcony overlooking the lagoon with the direct view of the cabanas and cottages surrounding it.

My friends and I got a glitch that there is a new restaurant open in Naga City. Que Pasa which is located infront of Naga Cathedral. A graffiti wall design will welcome you once you enter the restaurant

They said that you know its a good restaurant if there is a line. So when we get there, there are bunch of people waiting in line. Yes, waiting for there turn. And we are just next to them.

You can choose from chicken, pork, or fish

So if you know me that well i can’t choose fish nor chicken. (Smiles) So i order Pork Barbecue with Chili-Chocolate Sauce and Mac and Cheese. 

I enjoy my barbecue because first of all i like anything spicy. At the same time it has a combination of sweetness from the cocoa chocolate and saltiness from the pork. And it’s really tender if you’ll ask me.

Travelling to different countries is my ultimate dream. And I’ve already listed some lovely places to visit and one of them is Chiapas, Mexico.

Chiapas is Located in South West of Mexico, it is the southernmost State of Mexico. It is bordered by the states of Tabasco to the north, Veracruz to the northwest and Oaxaca to the west. To the east Chiapas borders Guatemala, and to the south the Pacific Ocean.

If ever I get a chance to visit this place, I don’t think I would ever get tired of taking pictures of everything. And i fell in love with the place the first time i laid my eyes on the place. So perfect and Everything is just so beautiful.

When you travel you can learn new cultures and norms, see new places and of course taste different kinds of foods.
