Summary: After an unfortunate mixup of pain medication and your friend's party substances at Pitt Fest, you're rushed to the Pitt and placed in the care of Jack Abbot. As he oversees your care, you get a little too touchy, and a little too honest.
Word Count: 6.6k
Content: accidental drug use (MDMA), mention of alcohol consumption, age gap (reader is mid 20s), fluff, comfort, a hint of smut (18+ MDNI) - literally like two seconds of thigh riding, mention of ovulation
A/N: listen… I’ve never done MDMA. I did a lot of research, but I had to fudge some stuff for plot. don’t do drugs kids
Pitt Fest was not your idea. When your friend Beth offered you her spare ticket, you waffled at first. You're not really a crowds person, or a partying person. Beth was always the partier in college. But you do like live music, and she pointed out that your top Spotify artist from last year is in the concert lineup.
So you’d caved.
That decision is coming back to bite you in the ass, and bite hard.
It’s hot as balls outside. You’re covered in sweat, which mingles in a sticky and unpleasant mix with the sunscreen you’ve been dutifully applying since the afternoon to avoid frying like an egg. When the sun finally set, you no longer had to worry about the burgeoning threat of skin cancer, but the heat doesn’t break. In fact, it almost seems to get worse, because more and more people arrive to crowd you as night descends and the bigger names with larger fanbases grace the stage.
You’re waiting for Beth outside of the bathroom facilities. She's been ingesting a steady stream of margaritas since sundown, so she leaves you holding the bag, literally. At least it's a nice excuse to separate yourself from the throng of jumping, sweaty bodies gathered by the stage.
It’s nearly two in the morning. You’re hungry. Your feet are killing you. You have a headache from the festival’s sugary cocktails. You’re sweating through the top Beth lent you. And on top of everything else, your ovulation cramps are kicking in like a motherfucker.
Growing desperate, you dig through Beth's bag, searching for the little Altoid tin that she always keeps her pain meds in. At long last, your hands make contact with the metal tin at the bottom of her tote. Nearly crying with relief, you pop an aspirin in your mouth and wash it down with the tepid bottled water you’ve been clutching for the last hour.
Beth's voice rings out from behind you, talking over the din of the nearby DJ set. “What are you doing?”
You turn towards her, and see Beth staring at the tin in your hand. “I have cramps,” you explain, and just as you’re about to shove the tin back in her bag and hand it to her, she grabs your wrist.
“…please tell me you didn’t just take one of those,” she says urgently.
You raise an eyebrow. “Why?”
“Because those are not aspirin, babe.”
Your blood runs cold. Your brain quickly does the math — Beth had told you how much she’s looking forward to meeting up with her rave friends tomorrow for the second night of Pitt Fest. Beth has always been quite the partier. And she often partied with her good friend Molly.
Your eyes widen in horror. “Oh no.”
Pitt Fest, as always, is a huge pain in the ass for the night shift.
Handoff gets messy. There's a shit ton of substance cases, even more of heatstroke. Robby stays longer than he should and snaps at everyone, clearly in his feelings remembering last year’s Pitt Fest. Understandable, yes, but it also makes everyone’s life that much harder when they’re within sniping distance of him.
Needless to say, Jack is already over this shift, and it’s not even halfway done. It doesn't help that his favorite resident happens to have the night off, which deposits his mood firmly in the hospital basement. Which, coincidentally, happens to be the location of the morgue.
Now that Robby has been politely ordered to go the fuck home, Jack feels like he can finally focus on his job instead of doing damage control with the med students. As he walks down the hall, Lena catches his attention from the hub desk.
“We have an ambulance two minutes out with a mid-20s female, collapsed at Pitt Fest,” she informs him. “Probable dehydration, likely drug-related, because, well… Pitt Fest.”
This festival truly is the gift that keeps on giving. Jack cracks his knuckles and eyes the ambulance bay doors. “All right. Let's get ready to receive the party girl.”
A few minutes later, the gurney is wheeled in by two paramedics and received by Lena and Parker. Parker shoots an alarmed and confused look over her shoulder at Jack, who steps forward to supervise.
“Dr. Abbot!"
Of all the things Jack expected to see tonight, this is at the bottom of the list. You're strapped to the gurney, scantily clad and gleaming with sweat, a goofy smile on your face and your pupils blown so wide they nearly swallow your irises.
Jack scrubs a hand through his hair. “You're shitting me.”
This is quite the surprising turn of events.
After Lena sets you up in South 16, Jack discreetly shoos away Parker so he can handle your examination himself. He doubts you would be comfortable with one of your fellow residents seeing you like this, considering your condition and your current state of dress.
Jack closes the door behind him and saunters over to you. His eyes snag on your tight, strappy top, and the strategically placed cutouts baring sections of your midriff and chest. He’s holding onto his professionalism by a thread, especially with the way you’re shifting around on the exam table, causing the hem of your miniskirt to ride up.
He has no choice but to focus up. You need medical attention, not the kind of attention his brain and body really want to give you right now. First, Lena takes your temperature and shows him the number on the display. 100.2 degrees F. It's coming down from what the paramedics recorded in the ambulance, and not so high that he’s still worried about heat stroke. But you’ll need cooling down regardless.
“That’s quite the outfit you got on,” he mutters as he gently raises your chin and shines his penlight into your pupils.
“Do you like it?” you ask, beaming up at him even as you squint. “I borrowed it from my friend. She’s so nice.”
Your pupils are so dilated that your eyes are almost completely black.
“Yup.” Jack clicks off the light and sighs, turning to Lena. “She’s rolling, all right. Let’s get a tox to make sure there’s nothing else to be worried about.”
You don’t seem to even register the pain of the needle prick, but you let out a delighted little hum when Lena smooths a bandage over your arm and adds gentle pressure over top of it.
“That feels good,” you murmur with a lazy smile.
“I bet.” Jack crosses his arms and tries to give you a stern look. “Can I ask what my best resident is doing taking ecstasy at a music festival?”
“I didn’t take it on purpose, I swear,” you protest, your eyes widening in a brief panic. “It was my friend’s. I thought it was aspirin, for my cramps.”
“You’re menstruating?” he asks, picking up his tablet and sitting in the edge of the exam table next to you to amend your chart.
You shake your head and say matter-of-factly, “Ovulation cramps.”
His eyebrows shoot up towards the ceiling in surprise.
You continue babbling, unaware of the grenade you just lobbed at Jack. “She tried to get me to throw it up, but I couldn’t because I don’t really have a gag reflex.”
Jack takes a deep breath to prevent his brain from completely short-circuiting.
Your face breaks into a sheepish smile, and you giggle, “Oops. Sorry, that was probably too much information.” Leaning forward on the exam table, you bring your face inches away from his and observe with a sigh, “Your eyes are really pretty.”
From behind him, Jack hears Lena snickering under her breath. He clears his throat and straightens up to standing.
Avoiding Lena's eyes, he instructs her, “Let’s, uh, get her some fluids and cooling packs, huh? Maybe a Saf-T-Pop, too. Keep her mouth occupied, so she won’t say any more nonsense she’ll regret in the morning.”
Lena just shoots him an amused look and heads off to gather supplies. Nurses, he thinks ruefully to himself. They see everything.
Movement and sound draw his attention back to you. You're laid back on the exam table, eyes fluttering closed. And you’re running your hands through your hair, letting out a pleased little noise like the sensation is better than sex.
Jack breathes carefully through his nose. He needs out of this room with you, before this becomes mortifying for everyone involved. His phone buzzes in his pocket, giving him the perfect excuse for escape.
His voice is thin when he speaks, and for a moment, he’s glad you’re too high to notice. “You sit tight, sunshine.”
As he turns to leave the room, your hand catches the edge of his scrubs.
“You’re leaving?” your mouth turns down into a pout, those huge eyes shining up at him. He very nearly gives in, very nearly reaches out a hand to stroke a thumb across your cheek just to hear the kind of sound it would pull from you. But his phone buzzes insistently, so he briefly pats your knee instead.
“I have other patients to see. But I'll be back before you know it,” he assures you, pulling open the door and diving headfirst back into the glorious chaos.
At least it’ll be a convenient distraction from the thought of you, eagerly waiting in south fifteen for him to return.
He shakes his head in disbelief. Ovulation cramps. You’re gonna be the death of him.
An MVA, a ketamine overdose, and a cardiac event later, the Pitt finally slows down enough for Jack to breathe. Enough to check your tox screen and sigh with relief that the MDMA you mistakenly took wasn’t cut with anything. Alcohol is the only other thing in your system, in levels not high enough to be concerning. Although, combined with the ecstasy, it means you probably won’t remember much of this exciting little escapade.
At long last, he manages to find some time to check on you.
In his absence, Lena had set you up with a gown to preserve a little more of your modesty. You’re laying on the exam table amongst the cooling packs, an IV attached to your arm and a Saf-T-Pop in your mouth that’s turning your tongue red.
A smile breaks like sunrise over your face as soon as you see him.
“Hey there, sunshine,” he greets you, approaching you with a little more warmth now that Lena's sharp eyes aren’t here to observe.
“Hi. I missed you,” you sigh.
Jack smirks. “Did you now?”
You nod happily. “Mm-hmm.”
“How are you feeling?” he asks, his gaze attentive, checking you over.
“Cold,” you answer, wrapping your arms around yourself.
He reaches up a hand to feel your forehead. Still warm, but still steadily coming down over time. He’s satisfied enough with your progress. You'll be out of here in no time.
The prospect disappoints him just a little.
“Yeah, your body is having trouble regulating its temperature,” he explains, his thumb stroking delicately along your hairline. “We’ll need to keep these cool packs on you a little while longer.”
Just as his hand retreats, your hand catches his wrist. You press his palm to your cheek, almost nuzzling into it like an affectionate kitten.
“Your hands are so warm,” you murmur, eyelids slipping shut as you revel in the sensation.
The gesture catches him off guard, but he doesn’t pull away. He couldn’t even if he wanted to, and he certainly doesn’t want to.
“Easy there, gorgeous,” he chuckles softly. “I need that hand for doctoring.”
Your eyelids flutter halfway open, and you look up at him with a lazy grin, clearly pleased as punch. “You think I'm gorgeous?”
Jack freezes for a moment. The word had slipped out without him even registering it, familiar and endeared and entirely too revealing.
“I plead the fifth,” he replies, warmth creeping up his neck.
You giggle again. God, that sound does things to his heart that are medically concerning.
“I think you’re gorgeous,” you mumble dreamily.
Jack blinks in surprise.
He’s been a little too fond of you for a while now, been staring a little too long when you brush past him in the halls. And he’s suspected before that it might not be completely one-sided. He sees how you receive his attention and praise differently than the other attendings, how you look at him with more than just the admiration of a mentor. But suspecting it and having it be confirmed are two different things. Especially since you wouldn’t be saying any of this if you were sober.
He tries to laugh it off before his ego can run away with the compliment. “I think you’re high.”
You shrug. “Maybe. But I always think you’re gorgeous.”
Removing his palm from your cheek, you examine it with fascination, running a finger along the deep set lines. “I think about these,” you say thoughtfully. “All the time.”
Jack is a little ashamed at how quickly that comment goes straight to his cock. His favorite resident, fantasizing about his hands, maybe even touching yourself to the thought of them, wishing your own fingers were his—
He drags his free hand over his face and mutters, "Jesus Christ."
“Can I tell you a secret?” You peer up at him again, that goofy, starstruck smile returning. “I’ve got, like, the biggest crush on you.”
Unfortunately for Jack, there is very little time to process this very interesting information before his phone buzzes again. Just beyond the doors, he can hear the familiar sound of what is likely a high-priority trauma heading into the bay. Voices overlapping in urgent tones, gurney wheels on tile floor, grunts and yelps of pain from a patient.
Jack crosses to the door in two steps, and speaks over his shoulder to you. “Hey, baby, I gotta handle something. Stay out of trouble, okay?”
As the door swings shut behind him, he just manages to catch the sound of you happily mumbling to yourself, “He called me baby.”
Which is how he heads into Trauma 1 with a smile on his face, entirely too cheerful for a man facing down a compound femur fracture.
The shift that would never fucking end is almost fucking over. And all Jack can think about is you. You and your moony, lovey-dovey eyes and your wide, childlike smile. You gazing up at him and crooning I have the biggest crush on you. You giggling and telling him point-blank that you’re ovulating.
As he rolls out of yet another demanding trauma, Lena updates him on your condition. You’re rehydrated and back to a normal temperature, pretty much ready for discharge if you can be released to someone who will take care of you. He returns to your room, finding you unhooked from your IV and cold-pack-free, happily set up with another lollipop.
“Jack, you’re back!” you exclaim, and then laugh at your accidental rhyme.
Still rolling, he thinks. He checks his watch. According to your best guess of when you took the ‘aspirin’ in your friend’s purse, it’s been about four hours. You'll be due to start coming down anytime in the next two hours or so. He's due to head out, but he can’t bring himself to go home until he knows you’re leaving in capable hands.
“Hey, sunshine.” He offers you a tired but warm smile. “Seems like you’re in pretty good shape here, and you should be tapering off pretty soon. You got anybody to take you home, keep an eye on you?”
A little crease forms between your brows as you think hard. “I don’t know where my friend went when the ambulance came. And I think my phone died,” you add pathetically, gesturing to the device in your lap and its terminally black screen.
Jack pinches the bridge of his nose. He can’t in good conscience leave you to your own devices, especially when you’ve never taken ecstasy before. At worst, there’s still a chance you could have some kind of reaction. At best, the comedown is sure to knock you on your ass.
He can only think of one thing to do. It's not the best idea. It might not even be a good idea. But his brain is too addled from the long shift to come up with anything better. And you need someone to take care of you.
“Jesus. Okay,” he mutters to himself, then sits on the edge of the exam table, bringing his face level to yours. “Listen up, sunshine.”
You gaze at him intently, attention vacillating occasionally between his eyes and his mouth. Jack has a feeling that what he’s about to say will go in one ear and right out the other. But there’s a chance you’ll retain it, so he says it anyway.
“You're gonna have a pretty serious crash when you come down. All those happy little chemicals that are making you feel good right now?” He gives you a soft little tap against your temple, and you giggle softly. He continues, “They’re gonna go on vacation for a day or two. I don't want you dealing with that on your own. So I'm gonna take you to my place, just to watch out for you until you’re feeling a little more like yourself.”
You’re quiet for a minute, your brain catching up and computing the meaning of what he just said. When it finishes, the lightbulb goes off behind your eyes, and you ask excitedly, “We’re having a sleepover?”
Of course that would be your takeaway.
He chuckles as he helps you to your feet. “That's right. You got it.”
When Jack drapes his hoodie over your shoulders and guides you out of the Pitt to his car, he’s reminded of all the reasons that this is probably a terrible idea.
He sees the watchful eyes and the knowing smirks of the nurses. He sees Parker and Crus snickering behind their hands. He sees Shen counting up his winnings from the betting pool, because he wrote down molly and tripsitter Abbot.
And he feels your hand clinging to his bicep, sees how you gaze up at him with a dreamy expression as he walks you out to his car. He’s knows he’s really going to need to behave himself for a few hours, because there’s a very good chance that you won’t, and Jack doesn’t want to accidentally take advantage of your… impaired judgement.
You spend most of the ride with your face by the cracked car window, feeling the wind on your face, eyes blissfully closed. Jack thanks his lucky stars that he thought to give the apartment a once-over before shift, so he isn’t bringing you into a total mess.
He walks you into his bedroom and gestures to the en-suite. “Bathroom’s there, if you want to take a shower. I'll find you something a little more… comfortable to wear,” he adds, peeling his eyes away from your tiny little shirt and how you’re already fussing with the straps.
As he turns to his bureau to find you a t-shirt, he feels arms wrapping around his middle, your body molding to his back as you embrace him with a sigh. “Thank you for being so nice to me.”
Jack swallows and delicately removes your hands, stepping out of your embrace and ushering you in the direction of the bathroom.
“Go on, then,” he instructs you. “While you’re still upright.”
You barely even register it as rejection, heading towards the shower and wiggling out of your top before Jack even has the chance to close the door behind you. Which he does, quickly and with his eyes glued to the floor.
His instincts were right. He will very much need to behave himself while you’re here.
He busies himself while you shower by changing out of his scrubs and assembling a meal. It's a humble offering — just a couple of sandwiches and frozen french fries heated up in the oven, but it’s better than nothing.
After about twenty minutes, you emerge from the bedroom with damp hair and your face scrubbed clean, clad in one of his t-shirts and a pair of his boxers, smelling like his soap. You lean on his kitchen island with a contented little sigh.
Jack repeats it to himself like a mantra — behave yourself.
“Time to eat something,” he says, sliding one of the plates toward you.
“I’m not hungry.”
“I know. But I'm trying to set you up for success here, so you don’t feel as awful when this is out of your system. When's the last time you ate?” he asks.
You rest your chin on your hand as you think back. “I had… lunch.”
“Thought so.” He puts the plate into your hands and steers you in the direction of the couch with a hand on your lower back. “You and I are gonna eat these sandwiches, drink some water, and watch Planet Earth.”
You gasp in delight and plop down onto the couch. “I love Planet Earth!”
He knows you do. You'd gushed about it being your favorite docuseries at work, and he’d bragged about owning the box set. It had been the first day you and he had really started to bond.
Once the tv is on, it thankfully keeps you occupied. You chew your food slowly, enraptured with the beautiful imagery on the screen. Managing a decent effort with the meal, you eat half the sandwich and most of the fries before you start to lose a little steam.
You abandon your plate on the coffee table, then take Jack completely by surprise as you lean over to lay your head in his lap.
He goes still for a moment, unsure if he should be allowing this. But he doesn’t have the heart to push you away, so he puts his plate aside and lets a hand come to rest on your shoulder.
You sigh happily and snuggle closer.
It's been so long since Jack has taken care of someone like this that he’d almost forgotten what it feels like. How good it feels to be needed. The easy intimacy of sharing a space, sharing a meal, of letting someone melt against you after a long night.
Affectionately, he brushes a stray lock of hair out of your face, and you practically purr in response, leaning into his hand. So Jack keeps doing it, keeps gently stroking his fingers through your hair, preferring to watch your relaxing form instead of the polar bears on screen.
The two of you spend nearly an hour like that, until your breath starts to take on that even, drowsy quality and Jack’s own brain starts calling for rest. He gently eases you off his lap to sit up, takes you by the hand and leads you to bed, already resigning himself to the aching back that a couch nap is going to earn him.
Jack sets you up with a glass of water and the best blankets in the linen closet. As he turns to head back to the living room, your hand grabs his arm, pulling him back.
“Stay.”
Your voice is low and warm. You're sitting up in his bed, his sheets pooled around your knees. Your eyes are dark, tempting, pleading.
Jack knows dangerous territory when he sees it.
Still, your serotonin is due to start dropping any time now, and hurt feelings are only going to be worsened once it does. Jack sits carefully on the edge of the bed, maintaining a few inches of distance, his other hand gently cradling your cheek.
“Sorry, sunshine. Not a good idea.”
You move closer, your gaze fixed firmly on his mouth. “Why?”
Best behavior, Jack.
“Because you’re still tapering off. Plus, I just worked a long shift and I need to sleep.” He takes in a deep breath as he feels your hand slide across his shoulders. “And I've got a feeling I won't be getting much rest next to you.”
In a move so surprising that Jack is momentarily powerless to stop it, you rise up onto your knees and shift to straddle one of his thighs.
“What if I promise to be really, really good?” you murmur sweetly.
Jack knows he should stop you, and he almost does. But then you rock your hips on his thigh, the tiniest little life-ruining movement, and you let out the softest, neediest little sound. Suddenly, Jack is hanging onto his sanity and self control-by a thread. And that thread is fraying rapidly.
“Baby,” he whispers, half warning and half plea. His hands come to your hips, torn between stopping you and spurring you on.
Your hips rock again, more purposeful this time. “Please,” you beg quietly, so close now that your lips just barely brush against his.
For a few shameful moments, Jack forgets about his fatigue and the ache in his leg and he wonders… how morally reprehensible would it really be to just let you get off on his thigh? You’d said yourself that you’re ovulating, probably making you even needier. Fuck, he can feel how badly you want it, wetness soaking through the boxers you’re wearing and Jack’s sweatpants. Would it really be so awful of him to sit passively as you hump his leg to get the relief you’re clearly so desperate for? To take pity on you and let you use him for your pleasure?
But he knows it would be wrong, because he’d be getting off on it even if you didn’t touch him. You're not in your right mind, and he doesn’t want to make you come for the first time when you’re whacked out on MDMA.
Summoning the will from deep inside himself, he stills your hips and eases you off of his thigh, ignoring your whines as he nudges you back onto the pillows.
“It wouldn’t be right. I'm not touching you until you’re sober,” he says firmly.
Jack gets to his feet and tucks the blankets around you. “I’ll see you in a few hours. Wake me if you need anything.” He laughs softly at the pointed pouting look you shoot his way. “Other than that.”
“You’re no fun,” you call after him as he retreats into the living room.
Once the bedroom door is shut behind him, he collapses on the couch and wrestles off his prosthetic, punching a throw pillow a few times to soften it before going horizontal. Even after what felt like the longest shift he’s had in months, he’s unsure how much sleep he’ll actually manage to get knowing you’re in the next room. Probably snuggling one of his pillows as if it’s him, probably squeezing your thighs together until the last of the drugs leave your system.
He groans and rolls over, willing his body and his still half-hard cock to go to sleep.
You wake feeling like death warmed over.
You’re in a bed that doesn’t belong to you, but smells familiar and comforting. Same with your clothes. A few memories make it through the fog, blurry and out of order. Planet Earth. Jack’s hand, warm and pleasant on your cheek. An ambulance ride. Lena ruffling your hair and handing you a lollipop. A shower with a chair and a grab bar and soap that smells like Jack.
You’re at Jack's apartment, you realize with a start.
Checking the time groggily, you observe that you've slept from the early morning until late afternoon. Thank god you’d asked for tonight off as well, anticipating you’d need recovery time after Pitt Fest.
You can vaguely recall the warm, fuzzy feelings you’d experienced last night. In the abstract, at least. Now, you feel mostly guilt and shame and embarrassment and anxiety. How could you have been so stupid?
Sounds of life echo from the kitchen, which means Jack has woken up ahead of you. Your guilt sharpens. Jack is spending his hard-earned downtime taking care of you, because of your own carelessness.
Fatigue clings to your bones as you shuffle to the bathroom. The reflection in the mirror is less than kind. Dark shadows frame your eyes, worse than the usual bags worn by the night shift crew. Your hair is a mess, and you sigh as you comb your fingers through to tame it.
Time to face the music.
You trudge out into the kitchen, where Jack is wearing an apron over a t-shirt and sweats and cooking an omelette, looking awfully chipper for having slept seven hours on the couch. He looks so good that it briefly makes you angry. Fuck him for looking so good, while you look and feel like utter dogshit.
Of course, that annoyance turns to guilt again when he looks up and smiles.
“Hey, lover girl,” he greets you warmly as you lean on the kitchen island. “How are you feeling?”
You rub your eyes and groan, “Like I got hit by a Mack truck.”
He squeezes your shoulder fondly and grabs a plate from an overhead cabinet. “Let’s get some food and water in you.”
“Thank you,” you mutter sheepishly. “I’m sorry about… all this.”
“Don't even worry about it, sunshine.”
Jack hands you a glass of water and starts making you a plate. You accept it with a grimace. “I'm not feeling very sunshine-y right about now. I can't remember half of what happened after I went down at the concert.”
“I hope we’ve learned not to go digging for meds in that particular friend’s purse.” He smirks and sets a plate in front of you. A vegetable omelette and buttered toast. Your appetite hasn’t yet returned to its normal levels, but your doctor brain knows that you really need to eat, so you reach for the toast first.
“Never again,” you vow as you take a bite.
In the light of day and out from under the influence of Beth's ‘aspirin,’ you get a good look at Jack's apartment for the first time as he assembles his own plate. It's not spotless, but it’s generally tidy, and it’s a very nice place. Good furniture, great windows with better blackout shades, a nice floor plan. Its niceness only makes you feel smaller.
You poke at your omelette, stewing. “Jack?”
“Yes?”
“Don't take this the wrong way, but…why am I here?”
He plates his own omelette and leans a hip against the kitchen island. “You’d never taken MDMA before, and I knew you’d be in for a hell of a drop. I didn't want you to be on your own.”
You resist the urge to frown. This whole saga is doing nothing to remedy your tragic crush on him. Did he have to be so nice and caring on top of everything else? It feels a little unfair at the moment.
“That’s… very considerate,” you mumble.
“What can I say? I'm a considerate guy.” He pops a bite of omelette into his mouth with a wink.
A thought occurs to you that briefly makes your stomach turn. “Does the whole Pitt know?”
Jack's expression tells you everything you need to know before he even speaks. “There… might have been a betting pool on the subject. Shen cleaned up.”
You drop your face into your hands. “Awesome. That's really awesome.”
Every single one of your coworkers knows that you spent the night rolling. Tears prick at your eyes beneath your palms, which only worsens your humiliation. The last thing you need right now is to cry in front of Jack Abbot. Even if it’s just because the chemicals in your brain are out of whack, it doesn't make it any less embarrassing.
“Hey.” Jack's hand finds your shoulder again. “Don’t worry about it. They're good people, no one is judging you.”
Despite your best efforts, a mortifying little sniffle slips out at the kindness in his voice.
“Oh, sweetheart,” he murmurs. “Come here.”
You can’t bear to look up, but your breath hitches in surprise when Jack pulls you into his arms. Instantly, your brain begins to quiet, focusing on the steady rise and fall of his chest beneath your cheek, the reassuring weight of his arms around you, the slow arc of his thumb rhythmically stroking your shoulder blade.
It's medicine. Oxytocin and dopamine, feel-good chemicals produced by physical touch, bolstering your brain against the sapped well of serotonin the ecstasy left in its wake. It also makes your heart flutter pathetically in your chest.
He holds you for a long moment, his grip tightening when you finally loop your arms around his waist and return the embrace.
“Thank you for taking care of me,” you whisper, allowing the comfort to sink into your skin and fill your lungs.
“Of course.”
Jack only pulls away when you do, gently swiping a calloused thumb underneath your eye to banish the straggling tear that managed to escape.
“Let’s get comfortable on the couch,” he says, a hand settling on your back to guide you. “You’re still on the comedown.”
You worry you might be overstaying your welcome. But Jack seems to be in no rush to get you out of his apartment, content to let you rot on his couch as long as you need to. Surely he must have better things to do on his night off than take care of you, but he sits sentry at your side without complaint.
After some consideration, Planet Earth is tabled for the time being — even if you’ve seen it before, animal death is sure to bring back the waterworks in your current state. Flipping through channels, you settle on a cheesy mid-2000s rom-com that you’ve seen before and snuggle back into the couch cushions.
Through it all, you feel the comfort of his steady presence, his hand rubbing idle circles on your back, like an IV drip of Vitamin Jack straight to your brain. You give into the feeling, too worn out to fight it, curling into his side. Eventually, you feel a gentle graze at your scalp as he idly plays with your hair. It surprises you for a moment, but you’re not complaining in the slightest. You melt into it, eyes fluttering closed until you’re slipping in and out of a light doze.
Afternoon fades to evening, to dinnertime, to nighttime, to bedtime. Even after your intermittent sleep, your fatigue is still bone deep, and Jack insists you can stay the night. You really try to convince him to let you take the couch, but he refuses, insisting that your body needs proper rest to return to baseline. At the end of the night, he sends you off to bed with a smirk.
When you wake up in Jack's bed for the second time, it’s much less disorienting. It helps that you’re much clearer than you were seventeen hours ago. The clock reads 9:05 am — you have the whole day ahead of you to shower, change, and steel yourself for the humiliation ritual that is bound to be your shift tonight.
You stumble into the living room, bleary-eyed. Jack is reclined on the couch with a laptop and readers perched on the end of his nose. Ugh, fuck him again for looking so good.
His eyes find yours over the edge of the screen. “Hey there. You sleep good?”
“Mm-hmm,” you reply, stretching. “I'm feeling much better, I think.”
His mouth curves at the corner. “Good.”
Leaning on the edge of the couch, you sigh and glance at the clock on the wall. “I should probably head home soon, get my life together before shift tonight. Would you be able to drive me home?”
“Sure thing, sunshine.”
After you eat breakfast and shower off the cast of bedrotting from the day before, you change back into the clothes you arrived in, which Jack took the liberty of washing for you. As much as you appreciate the gesture, you blanch at the idea of Jack handling your underwear, and try very hard not to think about that mental image.
As the quiet car ride progresses, you ponder your looming fate, mentally preparing yourself for the teasing you’ll get from the nurses and other residents. It's disorienting to not know what you’re walking into, to have been mentally absent for most of it.
You can’t resist the urge to ask anymore. “Was I a total mess?”
He nods, amused. “Yes. But a very cute mess.”
“God, this is so embarrassing,” you groan. “What did I say?”
“Are you sure you wanna know?” he asks with a raised eyebrow.
That makes you pause, glancing at him warily. “…was it bad?”
“You got a little fixated on hands for a while.” Jack pauses, like he isn’t sure how much to reveal, if you’re ready to handle it. “Said you think about mine all the time.”
Suddenly, you feel a bit sick, even though the car is headed in a straight line down the road. If that's just where it starts… if that’s not the worst of it, then what is?
“Oh god,” you whisper in horror.
“You said you think I'm gorgeous,” he continues, voice thick with amusement. “And that you have a big ol’ crush on me. And… you might’ve tried to seduce me a little at bedtime.”
Your cheeks flare hot. This is quite possibly the worst outcome of the situation aside from death. At the moment, death feels preferable.
You stare straight ahead, sinking in your seat and pressing your hands to your forehead to try and keep your brain from exploding. “Excuse me, I'm just gonna open the door and go lay down in traffic.”
He laughs, the sound warm and fond and doing absolutely nothing to temper your embarrassment. “It's okay.”
“It is completely not okay, Jack,” you protest, turning your body away from him and towards the passenger side door, like that will save you from this conversation.
Jack places a hand on your thigh.
All the systems in your brain go down simultaneously.
His palm rests just above your knee, not high enough to be too inappropriate, but it’s intimate. Especially because your choice of garment for Pitt Fest leaves your leg bare and exposed to his touch. Never once does he take his eyes off the road.
“It was flattering,” he says coolly, his thumb rubbing soothing circles over your knee. “And extremely cute.”
He lets the assertion hang in the silence, and he doesn’t move his hand, letting it rest warm and comfortable against the soft skin of your thigh.
After some considerable effort, you remember how to breathe. Once the oxygen makes it to your brain, you manage to peel your hands away from your face and peek sideways at him.
“…really?” you ask, because you need the confirmation. Does Jack Abbot — your mentor, the object of all your desires, and the man who just babysat you through an unwitting MDMA trip — really think you’re cute?
He gives your thigh a gentle squeeze. “Really.”
There isn’t much else to say for the rest of the car ride. Jack keeps his hand on your thigh until he turns down your street and throws the car in park. You try and fail to suppress a smile the whole way, and allow him to walk you up to your building’s front step, palms tingling with anticipation.
“I’d like to do this again sometime,” he says as you unlock the main entrance. “Minus the party drugs.”
You grin up at him, slightly emboldened by the revelations that occurred in the car. “You wanna have another sleepover?”
“Very much.” His eyes crinkle at the edges when he smiles back. “See you tonight?”
“See you tonight.”
You turn to head inside, but Jack catches your elbow. “Hey. One last thing.”
Before you have time to register his closeness, a hand slides along your waist, another cupping your jaw, and Jack is kissing you.
A warm, pleasant feeling floods you from top to toe, a high rivalling the chemical one you’d experienced twenty-eight hours ago. He kisses you like he’s been thinking about it that entire twenty-eight hours. It's tender and hungry at the same time. By the time he pulls away, your lips follow after his and you almost stumble forward into his arms.
You open your eyes and blink up at him, feeling a little dazed and starstruck again.
“Had to wait until you were level,” Jack murmurs. He gives you a lingering peck at the corner of your mouth and descends down the front steps to his car.
I absolutely love the idea that Eridians making Grace a biodome isn’t actually a one off thing that they do and Eridians are actually really into rehoming and making biodome sanctuaries for various space creatures they find with no way to bring them back. This is like a community hobby thing like how we have community gardens.
I like to imagine that there’s a group of Eridians that supervise and monitor all of them and one of them is basically just Maya from Alveus Sanctuary where they will give tours of all of the biodomes as a way to spread awareness.
But the joke is that they’ll be talking about you, Grace, and Simon like how Maya talks about the ambassador animals and spreading fun facts to the Erid celebs/guests they have over.
“Fact that is fun to know! Since Grace can communicate with Eridians, he has shared information about Earth and humans and has mentioned that it is common for humans to have only one mate and then mate for life. However, there can be outliers in this and polyamorous relationships can form. That is why Grace, Simon, and (name) display courting and mating behaviors with each other.”
And then they move onto the next biodome and it’s just a xenomorph but they still have that same affectionate cadence and say something so casual like “We give them a dummy to tear apart so that they have proper stimulation like they do in the wild. It’s very fun and cute to watch them toss it to themselves. Look at them go!”

Summary: You already knew of their secret identity…it’s just fun to mess with them when you bring their dad into it.
a/n: This idea has been in me for days, and here it is! Enjoy!
Dick Grayson
“Superman is a way better superhero than Wonder Woman!”
Dick wasn’t trying to put Diana under the bus, but he had to make a point.
“He has super speed, Godly strength, heat vision—oh, did I mention, he could fly.”
Dick listed all these things and you couldn’t help but laugh.
“What?”
“Nothing, I just didn’t realize how passionate you were about Superman.”
“Well, duh, who wouldn’t look up to Superman.”
You hummed, “that’s true. But you gotta admit, Batman is so much cooler…and much sexier.”
Dick stopped eating.
It was like he was kicked in the balls.
“What?”
“Batman is—”
“Don’t worry, sweets, I heard you. But what the hell?”
“What, you know Batman personally?”
“No, no! It’s just—Batman, am I right?”
“No, I don’t if you’re right.”
“It’s just Batman doesn’t have superpowers—”
“But isn’t it impressive that he could keep up with the league?”
“He looks like a bad communicator—”
“How would you know that—”
“He wears his underwear outside of his suit, I mean, who does that?”
“Superman.”
“Oh.”
Dick looks back at his food and shoves the spoon in his mouth.
He looks back at you and points the spoon at you, “you gotta admit, though, Nightwing is far better than Batman.”
You rolled your eyes,
“You mean Batman’s Walmart version? Yeah, I kinda have to pass on that.”
He smashed his face on his food.
“Dick!”
He straightened his back and put his palms together in front of his face, he sighed,
“Nightwing is the younger, hotter, smarter version of Batman! What’s there not to love about him?”
You grabbed a tissue on the table and wiped the food off his face, “I mean, he’s too overly perfect.”
He grabbed your wrist, “Isn’t that a good sign? He could be your boyfriend.”
“Yeah, but it almost seems like he’s untouchable. He’s known as Gotham’s golden child for a reason.”
“I’m telling you, sweets, he’s very much touchable.”
You laughed at this. Of course he would say that about himself. You shook your head.
“So is Batman! And he has emotional baggage, plus points for character development.”
“Trust me, honey, he will not be getting better anytime soon.”
You both stared at each other, and started laughing.
“Okay, okay. You might have a point there.”
He nodded and went back to eating.
“I still think he’s hotter than Nightwing, though—”
Motherfu—
Jason Todd
He turned on the television and turned the channel to the news. He was in the kitchen, inches away from the living room where you stayed. You were lounging around with a book in your hands.
He heard vaguely, “Breaking news: Batman has thrown the Joker in jail the sixth time this week. Hopefully, it will not turn into the seventh time—”
He tunes the news out, opting to focus on breakfast.
“Wow. Batman is hot!”
He stopped stirring the bowl and set it down as calmly (it wasn’t calm) as possible.
You looked back.
“Dear, are you alright—”
“Batman is hot?”
“I mean, yeah—”
“Batman is hot?”
“You repeating it just makes it truer.”
“I—ugh.”
Jason puts a palm in his face. He then drops his hand and reaches for the whisk and the bowl. He started calmly stirring again.
“Batman is not hot.”
“I mean, it’s in terms of preference—”
“Batman is not hot.”
“Do you just repeat what you say?”
He got a pan under the sink and started heating it by the stove.
“Darling, he doesn’t kill the criminals. And then they break out and give havoc back in Gotham. If you ask me, he’s just as guilty as the criminals he fights.”
“That’s true, if he didn’t stick to his morals, he would have been the perfect vigilante.”
He nodded and put his hand over the pan. Once it’s hot enough, he started pouring the pancake batter on the pan.
“Doesn’t mean he’s hot, though.”
He grunted and flipped the pancake using a spatula.
“Red Hood is way hotter.”
You blinked. Because—
“Who?”
Jason whipped his head towards you, “what do you mean, ‘who?’ uh, the best vigilante of all time!”
“...who?”
“The guy with the cool motorcycle? His main weapon is guns? The one with the red mask—”
“Oh! The creepy lookin’ one? Isn’t he like, a villain, though?”
You think you smelled burning in the kitchen.
Tim Drake
You placed the coffee mug down near his computer.
“Here you go, you coffee freak.”
“Thanks.”
“What are you doing now?”
“Collecting data for the new launch of the new technology in the Wayne Enterprises.”
You settled down on the couch beside his desk.
“Oh, poor me, I should have never been involved with a CEO.”
You put one of the back of your hands on your forehead and shake your head slightly.
“Yes, yes. Poor you, you have money.”
You barked out a laugh and leaned towards him.
“Hey.”
“What.”
“Hey.”
“What.”
You put a palm to your chin. Resting as your head on it while you watch your lover.
“Don’t you ever wonder what kind of gadgets Batman has?”
He looked at you. Squinted.
“Doesn’t he have…weapons?”
“I mean, obviously he does. But maybe he has other kind of weapons that could—”
He raised his hand and shoved it a little forward.
“Nope. I don’t wanna hear it.”
You pouted, “C’mon, it’s a hot thought!”
“He has at least 10,000 batarangs, 12,000 gas pellets, at least 200 grappling hooks, and other suits like Hellbat, Justice Buster, and Thrasher.”
You squinted, “Did you just hack the Bat?”
He shrugged, “You can’t really hack if you have access.”
“Well, you wouldn’t know he would be hiding that kind of stuff in whatever place he hides his gadgets. He’d probably hide them where nowhere else could find it. You know, because it’s a secret.”
Tim thought for a moment, your logic does make sense. I mean, after learning the way he talks to Catwoman in an unwanted call. It makes perfect sense.
“That’s…possible. You’d best be fit with Red Robin anyway.”
You smiled at this, “Red Robin, huh?”
He does not like your tone.
“Sounds like Red Robin doesn’t know when to move on being a Robin.”
He blinked. And did a double take.
“What a freaky little shit.”
What.
“He is the most intelligent Robin that Batman has ever had! He is the Brains of the operation for a reason—”
“Gives him more of a reason to stick to the title as ‘Robin’, no?”
God, he needs another coffee.
Damian Wayne
You and Damian are walking around Gotham finding art supplies for your date late that day. Until you stop by a toy shop and look out the window.
“What is it, beloved?”
“Look,” you pointed at the Batman plushie, “Isn’t he cute?”
He looks at the Robin beside it, “I see.”
You both walked forward and you continued to speak, “Sometimes I forget Batman is actually alive, you know? He’s plastered like some celebrity.”
He nodded, “I agree. Civilians should stop idolizing Batman and see him for what he truly is: a man who beats up criminals because he sold his soul to the devil.”
You whistled, “a little dark, don’t you think?”
“That is how Batman is to be perceived.”
“But you have to admit, though, he is quite sexy.”
Damian’s mind stopped for a second. And then two.
“You have sexual feelings for Batman?”
“Not as much I do for you,”
Damian turns pink at this, “But he does have a nice body.”
Damian muttered, “that could be said about Robin.”
You widened your eyes, “Dami!”
“What is it, beloved?”
“Did you just imply that I should look at Robin in a sexual way?”
“Well, why couldn’t you—”
“Dami! He’s a 12 year old boy.”
He blinked.
He forgot about that.
“A literal child!”
“Beloved, I didn’t mean it in that way—Robin is just adorable that’s all—”
“So you do want me to be a pedophile! Is that how low you thought of me? Thinking of a child that way.”
You just shook your head and laughed.
“So, which Robin were you referring to? Nightwing? Red Hood? Red Robin?”
Price who’s been married to you for twenty years and been cheating for twenty five of them, swaggering home from the pub like he’s Britain’s last surviving sex symbol. Bragging to the lads that he’s still got it every time he picks up another young college kid with big doe eyes and fat tits who could have any pick of guy and choose him. Refusing to divorce you when the others bring it up because where else is he going to find a loyal wife who cooks, cleans, and somehow never notices the lipstick on his collar?
Vs
You, who’s known the entire time. You, who’s done more than know. You, who’s been bribing, blackmailing, and occasionally outright paying women to sleep with him since the first girl. Not to boost his ego. God, no. You’re simply keeping the old bastard happy and unsuspecting until retirement.
Then the house, the pension, and the good silver are yours.

“can we book in sex on friday evening?” your voice cuts through the silence of your shared lounge - almost hesitant.
not hesitant like you're expecting to be rejected, hesitant in the way someone is when they feel out of practice. when somewhere along the way they lost all their powers of seduction.
simon looks up over the page of the book he's reading - eyebrows furrowed before they relax, like he's trying to make sure you're not asking out of some misplaced sense of obligation.
“friday works.” he confirms, “be back late so you'll… have some time to yourself first. to do your… preparations.”
preparations.
the polite way to say you'll either watch or listen to or read some porn in the bath before he gets home to try and kick start your body and brain into getting onto the same page about wanting to fuck.
you snort softly at the phrasing before nodding, "okay. just let me know when you're on your way home."
quiet settles over the two of you again, peaceful, yours.
then simon clears his throat.
"the new meds seem to be helpin'." he says quietly. "yer smilin' more. s'nice."
you nod, once. "they are." you confirm quietly. there's a beat of silence and then, "… sorry they've broken my fanny."
simon just shakes his head, brown eyes meeting yours. "not broken. an' don't be sorry. rather have you 'appy than horny. only one of those is important to me. an' it's not the availability of yer cunt."
your ears get hot at the bluntness, but your chest tightens with relief at his words. but still. there's a twinge of guilt in your stomach, like you're somehow not keeping up your end of the bargain you made when you decided to be each other's.
"i know. you always say that. but…"
"no buts." he cuts you off firmly, no room for argument. "no ifs. no fuckin' anythin'. i love you. i love yer smile and yer laugh. an' yeah, i love fuckin' you. but i'd rather you were smilin' at my bad fuckin' jokes again than drippin' all over the house."
Si ❤️: 10 mins off
Si ❤️: don't rush. take your time
Si ❤️: gonna shower in the en suite. you'll take one whiff of me and absolutely change your mind
Si ❤️: (which would be fine. no pressure. didn't think before i sent that.)
the messages overlay the porn playing on your phone screen one by one.
you don't pause the video right away - let yourself stay in the little bubble of horny you're trying to build. the bathwater is going lukewarm around you, but your skin feels warmer now from the small spark of anticipation that's beginning to grow in your stomach.
you can't help but feel a small twinge of grief that six months ago this same activity would have had you throwing yourself at simon - that six months ago you didn't even need to prepare to have sex with your husband. that it felt like the most natural thing in the world, not something you had to manufacture.
but then you remember his words "yer smilin' more. s'nice." and the grief fades, replaced with a pang of fondness so strong it almost hurts.
you let your eyes focus on the video again, letting the sounds of soft moans and the wet noise of skin on skin filter through your headphones; try and remember that the joy you see on the amateur couple's can be yours too.
you pause the video, typing back a quick message.
just getting out. haven't changed my mind. x
you dry off quickly, clean your teeth, slip into one of simon's old t-shirts; the black colour long faded to grey, band logo once printed on it lost to the passage of time. there's a hole in the hem and it's stretched out around the collar.
but it makes you feel safe, and that's what you need right now. not lace bodysuits and stockings. by the time you've padded into the bedroom you can hear the shower running - see that today's clothes didn't even make it to the washing basket in the bedroom, instead left in the one downstairs.
you wrinkle your nose - you know that means you're probably going to need to get the stain remover out later. but you appreciate that simon hasn't brought the smell of whatever it is up into your room. you light a few candles as you hear the shower switch off, pull the curtains and turn off the big light; leaving the room in a soft glow of the candles and bedside lamp.
little things you've learned make you feel more relaxed.
you're just settling on the edge of the bed as the en suite door opens - knees tucked up under your chin, heart beating a little faster than normal. simon appears, towel slung low on his hips, water still dripping down from his blonde hair and onto the scarred plain of his chest. his eyes find yours immediately, soft in the way they only ever are when he's looking at you.
"hi." you say softly, lips pricking up at the corners as you look at him.
fuck. it really does help the situation that he looks like that.
he crosses the room in two strides, one hand reaching to cup the back of your head as he leans down to kiss you - soft, slow; the kind of kiss that's a hello and isn't an expectation. his hand strokes up your bare thigh slowly; fingers pausing at the hem of your - his - t-shirt, stopping short of pushing it any higher. "hey dove," he replies softly. "missed this smile."
your smile. that's what he missed about this situation. that specific, soft, wanting smile that you only ever give him when you're about to get him in bed.
and it's that that has you pulling him down on top of you.
your t-shirt gets pulled off with careful hands; his towel lost somewhere to the floor. he ends up hovering over you, pressing kisses down your jaw, your throat, takes his time. his thumbs stroke an almost soothing pattern across your ribs as his lips trail lower - but when he reaches your stomach he pauses.
"tell me somethin'." he murmurs, "what were you watchin' in the bath?"
your face heats immediately, throat drying out as you stare down at him with an expression of absolute horror.
he just hooks your legs over his shoulders, presses a kiss to the inside of your thigh, looks up at you expectantly.
"just… soft stuff." you manage to murmur back. "couple in their bed. they… they looked like they were enjoying it. not… faking it."
he presses a kiss higher up your thigh, then another, before his breath is ghosting over your core. his tongue traces a slow line from slit to clit; gentle, soft, curling through soft heat like he's not in any kind of rush.
your hips twitch.
simon hums against you, an almost approving noise; like he's proud you actually answered. "yeah? what were they doin'?" he flicks his tongue against you again - more targeted this time. you gasp slightly as he settles in, one arm slung across your hips, fingers tracing over skin. every motion he makes is purposeful - circling your clit, dropping down down to dip inside you, tracing every inch of you with his tongue in lazy strokes.
your fingers thread through his still damp hair, nails scratching over his scalp in the way you know he likes. "they were taking it slow." you breathe. "she was on her back like this. he kept… talking to her. telling her how good she felt."
"slow." simon repeats, "like this?" his lips wrap around your clit, sucking gently before soothing it with broader strokes. your fingers tighten in his hair enough that he groans - all enjoyment and no pain. "you liked hearin' how much he wanted 'er?"
"yes-" the word breaks into a low moan as he slides two fingers inside of you, curling them perfectly against the spot he knows so well; mouth still focussed on your clit. "fuck, si…"
he doesn't speed up. just keeps a steady, slow rhythm - eyes flicking up to watch your face. he pulls away enough to murmur gently, "i want you dove - all the fuckin' time. everything you do is so fuckin' sexy i feel like i'm goin' insane." a soft kiss to your clit, "'m sorry if i stopped tellin' you." another kiss, "jus'… don't want you to ever feel like you 'ave to jus' cause i'd live inside you if i could."
your eyes burn, hands dropping to brush your thumbs over his cheekbones. "i know si. i promise."
he nods once, satisfied that you're not lying to make him feel better by the wet shine in your eyes. he drags the flat of his tongue over your clit again. "was she makin' the same little sounds you make? the ones that make me fuckin' melt?"
you nod, hips rolling under his mouth; the combination of his mouth and hands and the gentle questioning pulling you under. the porn in the bath feels distant now - a distant second to the real thing: simon riley between your legs, focused solely on you, coaxing your body to the edge with nothing but patience.
when you come its with a soft, shuddering cry - the same noise he loves so much - pleasure rolling through you in warm waves as simon works you through it. he waits until your fingers are limp in his hair before pulling back entirely, then kisses his way beck up your body until he's braced over you again, propped on one elbow so he doesn't squish you under his bulk.
"still good?" he murmurs. his cock is hot and hard against your thigh; twitching against you as he presses a kiss against your neck - but he doesn't push forward, doesn't press. just rests his forehead against yours.
“yeah,” you whisper, reaching between you to stroke him gently. “i want you, si. want this.”
he kisses you again, tasting like you, and lines himself up. he presses in -slow, perfect - eyes locked on yours the whole time. your fingers trace the scars on his jaw, eyes widening as he bottoms out; filling you in a way that's so achingly familiar now. he pulls back, pushes in again; soft, shallow rolls of his hips.
you brush your nose against his. "you don't have to be so careful with me, si."
"i want to." he replies simply. "been thinkin' about this since you brought it up. about makin' you feel good."
you, not him.
you thighs slide to wrap around his waist on the next thrust, taking hip deeper just by the nature of the position and he groans - a wrecked noise that carves itself into your memory.
"this alrigh'?" he murmurs against your neck, hips snapping just a little harder; thumb sliding into the space between your bodies to rub gentle patterns against your clit.
you nod, jaw going slack as you feel heat flood your stomach again. "yeah. s'perfect." you manage to murmur back.
he presses a kiss against the corner of your mouth, keeping up that same steady rhythm. "i love you. i love you when you're happy, an' i love you when you're sad. i love you when you're horny and climbin' me like a tree an' when all you want t' do is watch greys anatomy on repeat an' eat little moons. nothin', fuckin nothin', matters to me as much as you do."
you bury your face in his neck, cheeks hot, eyes burning, "i love you too."
your second orgasm is like sinking into warm water; nerves lighting up hot one by one, teeth sinking into the curve of his his shoulder with a whimper of his name. he follows immediately after, the pulse of your cunt around him dragging him over the edge, face buried in your hair as he breathes you in.
he doesn't pull out right away - just holds you, fingers stroking over sweat damp skin, pressing lazy kisses to your temple.
"still smilin' down there?" he murmurs softly.
you huff out a soft laugh, body and brain soft with satisfaction. "yeah, si. still smilin'."
"good." he kisses the top of your head. "that's all i need, dove."
Sum: There is a dead body in your freezer, a vigilante at your door, and unfortunately, only one of those things is about to become your biggest problem.
Inspired by the Webtoon I Dare You and this little blurb.
Yandere! Dick Grayson x Reader // 5.4k
Warnings: Yandere, fem!reader, paranoid/unreliable reader, stalking, murder/corpse disposal, dead body in freezer, minor character death, memory loss/traumatic brain injury, medical abuse, forced medication, restraints, captivity themes, gaslighting, unhealthy relationships/hella toxic dynamics, corrupt police, abuse of power, blood, attempted violence, non-con touching, coercion, reader is definitely not okay, Dick is extremely not okay but we should all expect that, Dick is a cop, MDNI.
There’s a dead body in the freezer.
That is all you can think about as you stare at the dark-haired vigilante standing on the doorstep of your shabby apartment in downtown Blüdhaven. The hallway light flickers behind him as he stares down at you with startling blue eyes. His easy expression falters the moment he sees you, his gaze widening as though the past has opened the door wearing your face.
He is one of those masked bats. Birds. A hero from television who could take you away and lock you in a cold cell where the lights never turn off, and you have to pee in front of prison guards.
What if they have a piss fetish?
Okay so, there's a dead body in your freezer, a vigilante at your door, and a very real possibility that your future involves forever-turned-on lights, communal toilets, and a prison guard with suspicious interests. School does not prepare you for situations like these.
You don't quite remember much of school, only that you passed enough classes to secure a nine-to-five and afford an apartment with electricity. Electricity keeps the freezer running. The freezer keeps the body cold. Until tonight, that has been enough to prevent situations like this.
The vigilante seems far more concerned about your well-being than whatever crimes might be waiting inside your apartment. He keeps trying to peer past you, tilting his pretty face toward the narrow gap you have left between the door and its rotting frame.
Your fingers blanch on the knob.
“Is anyone else home?” the vigilante asks. His tone is easy, almost careless, but his gaze keeps moving over your face. The way his eyes move makes you uneasy. Does he know? Is he going to take you to prison? Are you going to end up on death row?
“I was expecting somebody else.” He laughs softly, then adds on quickly, “Not that finding you instead is a bad thing. It’s just…” His eyes flick past your shoulder toward the apartment. “Could I come inside for a minute? I need to check something.”
The door is open exactly six inches. Any narrower is rude; any wider, he’ll see the kitchen. Then he might ask about the deep freezer.
You certainly don't care about a man dressed like a bum with a hero suit underneath: joggers, an unzipped jacket, and the dark blue bird stretched across his chest. He does seem familiar.
But everyone does when you lose your memory.
“It’s too late to let strangers in,” you say rather flatly. You wouldn’t want a bum like him in your apartment anyway. Dead body or not.
His brows pinch, disappointment sliding across that perfect face.
Wrong answer.
Adjust.
A practical thought clicks into place: if he sees the freezer, punishment follows. A pre-emptive correction would be simply killing him. But there is no physical room beside the meal prep. Shifting him to the fridge would evict five days of carefully portioned meals, and the power bill is already stripping your bank account. Spoiled food means no food. No food means starving.
You can’t afford to get stupid.
A gentle tap-tap on the doorframe pulls your eyes back up. He smiles, soft and warm, igniting an unwelcome heat in your cheeks. To your surprise, his cheeks are pink as well.
“I’ll just… call her,” he murmurs, fingers drifting toward his pocket.
“She’s on vacation,” you blurt, too loud and way too quick to be considered normal. Another wrong answer, if the brief, puzzled tilt of his brow means anything.
But then he smiles, thinner this time, as though he is masking a bruise of disappointment. Either he is already suspicious and plans to alert the authorities, or he will try again on some quieter night. For the moment, you survive the encounter.
Still, a problem remains: there’s no freezer space for a second corpse, not unless you ditch the meal prep.
You watch him retreat down the dim hallway, one hand lifted in a genial wave before he disappears into the rattling elevator cage at the far end. Only when the doors slide shut do you slam the deadbolt, shove the chain back in place, and glance at the freezer.
Preparations will have to begin tonight.

The week passes without sirens, arrests, or freezer re-arrangements. You almost believe the vigilante was a fever dream - until a new voice slides through the paper-thin wall.
The building has been hollow for two years; anyone with sense either fled or wrapped themselves in the same caretaker-cocoon that once shielded you. Six months ago that cocoon tore, and routine became sedative: clock-in, clock-out, corpse check, reheated meal prep. The caregiver’s old tablet still pings PAID each month, money shrinking in an account you can’t access. Don’t think about investigations. Investigations ask questions.
The scrape-and-thud of furniture next door means fresh eyes. You crouch on cracked linoleum, snapping dry ramen into crooked shapes beside the chained freezer, and listen to a mid-twenties male voice on speaker: boxes, deliveries, parking permits - ordinary words that grate because ordinary people notice smells and knock on management’s door when your apartment is too loud. You swallow brittle noodles and run tonight’s checklist: finish the last stir-fry, rewrap the feet - frostburn is creeping, drain the drip tray, and smile if the newcomer says hello.
Caregiver’s Rule #12: smiles disarm.
Across the wall, you hear a door close. His front door. Footsteps echo down the hall, unless it’s only your heartbeat. It’s difficult to tell. The sound seems to move through the floorboards instead of over them, each step pressing closer, until the apartment feels too small to hold you, the freezer, and all the terrible inside it.
Is he going to introduce himself now?
You click the lock shut on the freezer. The faint sound of safekeeping does nothing to stop the dread that fills you with every step outside your door. Then comes a light tap against the wood, just like before.
You slowly ease yourself up, trying to seem neither too willing to open the door nor too afraid of what waits behind it.
Afraid people invite questions.
You force a smile onto your face. Do you look normal? Does the body smell, and have you simply gotten used to it?
The math is getting ugly: one freezer, one body, two possible problems.
Play smart.
Unlocking the door proves to be more difficult than it was a week ago. Your hands shake as they slide the lock out of place, and you do your best attempt at a cheerful smile. “You must be the new neighbor,” you force out.
Unease settles low in your stomach as you glance up at him. Same height as the vigilante who came by last week. Less of a bum, however. He wears a cardigan over a white shirt, with nice-looking pants that seem dry-cleaned, which is odd for a resident in this slum of a building. Same blue eyes that pin you in place and the same familiar dimpled smile that reminds you of your nightmares from the other night.
It would be easier if they were the same person. Then you would only have one body to worry about, but the chances of them being the same are awfully slim, and you are not one to take chances. Especially when there’s a cell waiting for you.
“I am,” he says, voice coated in honey. “Thin walls, huh?”
He’s friendlier than the vigilante from last week, though that does nothing to comfort you. His voice is nothing but warm, neighborly, and harmless. Suspicion builds in your stomach. Or maybe you’re just hungry. However, you don’t quite enjoy the caged-animal feeling that licks up your spine when his arm comes to rest against the wall, blocking your view of the hallway and any possible exits.
Nice guys - those are the ones you worry about.
“Dick Grayson,” he offers, extending a hand you refuse. Too risky to exchange DNA when there’s a felony cooling five feet away. “Blüdhaven PD. Anything you need…”
Shit. Sirens begin to scream inside your skull. The freezer rattles awake behind you. Your sins are already mocking you.
You manage that it must be “nice” - wrong adjective.
His smile slices: “Nice isn’t the word.”
You scramble for “safe,” tack on “for you” as if that helps. Since cops get wrist-slaps for killing, your brain mutters - you choke the thought down.
He softens, coaxing: “It’s not always safe.” Bait. Your gaze returns to his hands - broad, sure, the sort that could pry a freezer lid or close over a throat. Your stomach tightens. He keeps the patter light, claims he didn’t want to be rude, asks if you’re always like this.
“Yes,” you say, which somehow amuses him. You don’t really get the social cue behind it all. Then the real kicker, delivered with a wink: “Have a good night - and don’t forget your medication.”
Your smile turns to ice. You never mentioned the pills.
You should really kill him.
First plan: poison - too slow. Second: ceramic vase - probably shatters. Third: push him down the stairs - lobby cameras.
Should’ve checked the cameras.
Sirens howl in your head; even the freezer seems to vibrate with them. He knows you’re unmedicated. Worse - he knows you’re alone.
This is still normal, you insist, bolting the door a second time now. The padlock’s click echoes louder than his footsteps retreating down the hall.

You’ve been hiding ever since Dick Grayson moved in two weeks ago. Since then, he has learned your schedule like the back of his own hand. He knows when you leave, hears the tardy shuffle in your step, counts the key fumbles when you chase the bus. He even indulges himself by stopping at the same coffee shop every morning, just to say hello before you scamper off to your pitiful nine-to-five. On Fridays, you return late with plastic bags full of discount groceries, shoulders hunched beneath the weight of marked-down items.
You used to leave the apartment more. Not much, but enough. A trip to the mailbox before work. A stop at the corner store after. Sometimes you would linger outside the laundromat with your tote bag pressed to your side, watching people through the glass like you were trying to remember how normal worked. But now that he has moved in beside you, your schedule has changed, and so have the dark circles under your eyes. You avoid him more often than not. You keep your curtains drawn shut, the cheap fabric pulled tight even in the middle of the afternoon. You only access the mailbox when he leaves for work, even if the morning paper you are so insistent on grabbing is already a day behind.
A sigh escapes him as he lies on his bed, shoulder pressed against the shared wall, listening for any sound from your apartment.
Nothing.
That bothers him more than noise would. The breaker tripped a few hours ago. He heard the electricity die through the wall, that low mechanical hum in your apartment cutting out all at once, leaving behind a flat, ugly quiet. It would be easy to climb onto your patio, pick the lock, and flip the switch back on for you. An easier option would be to check whether the caregiver he hired took the money and left you all alone.
His jaw tightens. You shouldn’t be working in your condition.
He groans into the hands resting over his face, dragging his palms down until the heels press against his eyes. Then he turns, burying his face into your old pillow. It barely smells like you anymore, but he still keeps it tucked beneath his head every night like a comfort plush.
How long have you been alone? It has to be at least six months. Maybe seven. You were fine when he left for Gotham. Or fine enough. The accident had left you different, sure. More numb. A little damaged in a way even the best doctors could not fully smooth over. But you had been alive and mostly manageable.
It has been two years now since the accident. Two years since the ring box sat heavy on the car’s center console, black velvet catching the passing streetlights every time the vehicle moved beneath them. He had asked you too soon. He knows that. You knew that. The two of you had been fighting more. He had been getting rougher with you, quicker to grab, to corner, to tell himself it was only because you scared him when you talked about leaving. You had threatened to leave. He had started acting too much like Bruce, all paranoia.
He has always been too hasty. Asking for your hand in marriage was never the mistake. Just the timing of it. You had stared at him with tears in your eyes as you tried to set boundaries, your face losing color as he promised he would keep you safe. No matter how badly you misunderstood him. Your fingers had curled around the seat belt, pressed hard against the buckle.
He had thought you were overwhelmed. Even tried the calming techniques first, using a low voice that typically worked with your outbursts. His hand open. Breathe with me, princess. You’re okay. But you kept shaking your head and reaching for the door, so he had started reaching for the tranquilizer dart in the back seat, just to get you quiet until he could bring you home and keep you safe until the wedding.
You were probably just afraid of happiness. Maybe that’s why you did it.
You were quick to unlock the car door. Quicker than his hand as he lunged across the console. Even faster than the desperate grip of his fingers against your sleeve before you slipped through them and threw yourself out of the vehicle.
Did you have to jump?
The question is as familiar as the guilt that ate him alive when he saw you in the hospital, your head wrapped in white, tubes taped to your skin and down your throat, machines clicking and breathing around you. Severe brain damage, they said. A long recovery. But money fixed enough of it. Bruce’s money. The best doctors the area could offer, even some who flew in. Bruce’s hand clamped heavy on his shoulder as the old man told him, “Don’t let it get to you. There are plenty of fish out there.”
But you were the only one he wanted to catch.
Did you have to throw yourself out of a moving car to get away from him? Was life with him that hellish?
He hates that word. Hellish. It doesn’t belong in his memories with you. Not in the kitchen, where he cooked meals and set bowls in front of you even when you glared at him as if he had poisoned them. Sure, you threw one at his face once. Called him a pervert. A fake hero. But you were simply cranky some days. Overwhelmed. Easy to brush off, the same way you brushed away the blankets he laid over your shoulders when you pretended not to be cold.
It doesn’t belong with the little doodles and notes he left on the fridge either, even if some of them came back shredded into death notes. Or with the scissors he had to pry from your hands while you threatened to slit your throat if he didn’t let you leave.
Of course, there were nights when you slow-danced with him in the living room to old love songs, your cheek resting against his chest as you finally got tired of fighting. Or even the mornings when you woke soft and quiet, blinking up at him like you forgot why you were angry. The afternoons when you asked so prettily for fresh air after he had kept you locked in the bedroom for too long, voice hoarse, fingers curled into his shirt.
Sure, spanking worked when you got too difficult, but so did a good timeout from time to time. You always melted against him after being alone long enough.
You could be sweet when you wanted to be. That was love. It had to be love.
He had loved you enough to try to move on with Barbara back in Gotham. It worked for a couple of weeks. Better than sitting at your bedside, loving you through recovery while you could barely remember who he was, watching your confused, frightened eyes fill with fear when he leaned too close. The times when he needed to remind you with a hand pinching your air tube that he was still the person you were supposed to kiss back.
His hand curls against the bedsheet where you would have slept.
If the Joker had not been loose for six months, Dick would have come back to you sooner. He would have continued his weekly checkups while you were drugged and less observant. Your caregiver was always good at giving you more than you needed to help with the nightmares she claimed were about him.
They’re just dreams. He’s not your monster.
You slept deeply enough then that he could sit beside your bed, brush the hair from your face, adjust your blanket, and pretend the quiet between you was peace instead of punishment. You never flinched in your sleep.
He cut things off with Barbara when he came back here. Watched her cry as he held her, her face tucked against his shoulder, her fingers twisting in the back of his shirt. He felt bad. Of course he felt bad. But her tears didn’t make him want to choke sense into her. They didn’t make him want to kiss her until she stopped making that awful, broken sound.
Yours did, however.
You’re not the same as before. He expected that. Certainly much healthier than you were in the hospital, at least. Your social skills are lacking, but that is expected when a lamb first learns how to walk again. If anything, it works out for the best. You’re more relaxed around him now. You don’t keep the lock in place like you used to when the two of you were first seeing each other. You don’t insult him. You stopped crying. The list could go on and on about how oddly perfect things would be between you two.
Finally, he hears your footsteps down the hall. Should he greet you? No. That would be too eager. He shouldn’t frighten such a delicate creature after work.
Your front door unlocks. He listens to the stumble of your shoes against the floor, the rustle of a plastic bag, the small irritated sound you make when something bumps into the wall. After a handful of minutes, the breaker clicks back on. The apartment gives a faint electric shudder through the wall, and the hum returns. You must have noticed by now that it has been off for a couple of hours. It’s a heatwave, after all. You probably have too many appliances plugged in.
Maybe he could offer to cook for you tonight. Something simple. Pasta, maybe. Open that fresh bottle of wine he got from a buddy. He can show up at your door with a friendly neighbor smile, pretend he hasn’t spent the last few hours listening for proof you are still breathing. You might let him in if he plays his cards right. He can pour you a glass, make you laugh, kiss you before walking you back to your door like the old days.
Then he hears it.
Your door opens again.
Are you leaving?
Dick pushes himself upright, head tilting toward the wall. Your footsteps are quick this time. Frantic. You mutter under your breath, the same word over and over.
Ice.
You must be going to the convenience store. All your food must have spoiled, or at least enough of it to scare you. That refrigerator was never the greatest. It was never his idea to keep you here for two years. You were supposed to move in with him after one, but work got busy. Gotham got loud. People kept needing him, and you had been safe enough. Or he thought you were.
He’s already moving before he finishes the thought, tugging his work uniform back into place, smoothing a hand over his glossy dark hair in the mirror by the door. The uniform helps. A good excuse for running into you at the convenience store down the road.
A friendly neighbor coming home after a long night of police work.
Not a man following you into the night.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
If Dick had known you could make such a horrified expression and still look so painfully cute, he might have pulled a stunt like this sooner. The convenience store is nearly empty at this hour. Outside, the heatwave fogs the beer-ad glass; inside, you stand in front of the ice chest with both arms full, eight plastic bags stacked awkwardly against your chest, as if you’re trying to carry a body instead of save one. He taps your shoulder; you nearly drop everything.
“Throwing a party?” he teases, bright and harmless, as though meeting here were a coincidence either of you should believe. His gaze flicks from the bags to your face - eight is a lot of ice for someone with no friends in any file he’s pulled, no emergency contacts who call more than once, no coworkers who walk you home. You’re usually alone.
That has always made things easier.
Your eyes jump to his uniform, then his badge, before Dick lifts a hand in an open-palm wave.
“Easy,” he says. “Just me.” Your grip only tightens; water runs from a corner of one bag and slides down your wrist. You don’t seem to notice. You're so much stranger and more calculated - so unlike the version of you who once snapped at him for thrills and shoved him away after too many kisses. Different isn’t ruined; it’s just leverage.
Your reply is lost to the freezer hum and the cashier’s squeaking stool.
“What was that?” he prompts. You glance at the bored clerk, then back at him, and repeat too loudly: “It’s for coffee meal prep.” He nearly laughs. Eight bags for morning coffee? Adorable. He props a shoulder against the glass, frost blooming behind him. “You need eight for one cup?” A beat. “Tired of seeing me in the mornings?”
You look away, try to brush past. “It’s melting - I won’t have any to practice with if it melts.”
Practice? Before you can retreat, he lifts six bags off your pile. You jerk for them, a small startled sound, but he’s always been stronger. For an instant he sees the old fury in your eyes, enough to make his heart kick before he reins in the teasing.
“How about I help?” he offers gently.
You huff and push toward the register while meltwater stipples the floor. Dick follows, shifts the bags against his hip, and - before you can fish out your wallet - taps his card: beep. You freeze mid-reach.
“I had it,” you mutter.
“I know,” he smiles. “And now you still have it.”
Tension moves between you, louder than the compressor rattle; the cashier pretends not to listen.
Why eight bags? Maybe the breaker scare sent you spiraling, food spoiling after the caregiver vanished. No reason for you to budget groceries or lug ice through Blüdhaven at night when he’s right here. He’ll audit the caregiver’s spending, see where the money went.
The bell jingles as you step into wet heat. Sidewalk puddles shine under streetlights; a distant siren wails and fades. You walk too fast - shoes slapping pavement in a nervous tempo - bags swinging hard against your legs. Each time you edge toward the curb, Dick glides between you and traffic. “Careful,” he says. You flinch. “I’m careful.” Twice you reach for the ice he’s carrying; twice he shifts it easily away.
“They’ll melt faster if we stop to argue,” he reminds you. That quiets you, though your eyes keep darting: his hands, the street, the apartment looming ahead. Plastic crackles whenever your grip flexes, leaving a thin trail of meltwater. When you veer to the curb again, he blocks you.
“Walking on the outside,” he explains - seat-belt muscle memory, sleeve slipping from his grasp.
“That’s not necessary,” you protest.
“Humor me,” he smiles, and you swallow the argument.
The lobby smells of old mail and cherry-lemon cleaner that never makes the place look clean. But it does take the smell of mold out. Elevator’s Under Construction - crooked sign over the button - so you climb the stairs. Halfway up, you freeze, alarmed to find him behind you.
“Go on. I’m not in a rush.” He motions ahead.
You don’t like his eyes on your back; good to know. He takes the next flight first, listening to your uneven breathing and the ice shifting in your arms.
Hallway air is thicker than outside, trapped under flickering bulbs. Your door waits - paint chipped, peephole cloudy, chain probably dangling because you left in a hurry. His door is beside it, close enough to hear everything. You whirl, blocking your knob.
“I can take them now.” Your smile appears a beat late - the wrong mask worn the wrong way. Dick’s chest warms.
“Should I help you get these inside?” he asks, voice honey-soft. Helping is love; love lets him in.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
You have gotten yourself into a spectacular pickle.
Bargaining at the threshold proves useless: your arms are full of melting ice, his arms are full of melting ice, and technically all of it belongs to you. You assure him - politely, firmly, repeatedly - that he doesn’t need to come inside, the bags aren’t heavy, it’s late, he must be tired, you’d hate to be a bother. Normal words for normal people. Dick Grayson only smiles and hoists the bags higher as they start to sink again.
Nice people are harder to shake; your caregiver warned you about that. They treat no like an invitation to try harder. Eight bags were a mistake. Four would have meant coffee prep or a broken fridge - anything ordinary. Eight screams emergency. Eight screams hidden freezer. Eight screams a smell you’re praying belongs to yesterday’s trash.
Behind the door, the apartment waits. So does the smell.
Sweet, damp, wrong - probably already leaking from the freezer seams after hours without power in a heatwave. Please be trash, please be trash. Maybe it isn’t bad yet. Maybe the chain kept the lid sealed. Maybe the trash under the sink reeks worse. You have never hoped for trash before, but there’s a first time for everything when a corpse is thawing in your kitchen.
Open the door and risk the odor. Refuse and risk the neighbor’s suspicions. Stand here and the ice keeps melting, the body keeps warming, the officer eventually calls someone. The officer is someone.
Slower disaster is better than fast. Keys slip in your wet fingers; metal clinks too loudly. Laugh. Harmless people laugh. You laugh like a woman you’ve seen in movies over misplaced keys, not like a woman calculating whether she can drop a policeman before he draws his gun. Dick doesn’t laugh back - he only watches.
Finally the lock turns. You step in first; he follows, gently shuts the door - then locks it. Fine, be creepy. Warm, stale air greets you, carrying a faint, rotting sweetness. Trash. Just trash. You clutch the ice, march past the chained chest freezer, swear you won’t look - then look anyway. Chain still tight. Good. Bad.
“Should I put these in the freezer?” he asks, kindness itself. For one absurd beat, you almost answer yes, right beside the dead woman. Then you see where he’s staring: not at you, but at the chain around the lid.
“Do you have a key?”
Words jam in your throat. A lock for sleep-eating? A safety latch? All terrible.
Your gaze darts to the ceramic vase by the door- heavy, blue-flowered, dusty. It has held receipts, dead pens, a spare button. It could hold blood. You edge one bag against your hip, freeing a hand. His head is turned. His hands are full. You might have a second. Handle’s chipped - won’t slip. Good.
Aim for his perfect face. If he falls, the entry rug is dark, good for soaking. Ice buys time. Boxes in his apartment for the body parts. One problem at a time.
He starts to turn.
You grip the vase and swing with all your might.
Sorry, officer.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Dick should have expected it. Your fire never truly burned away - no amount of medication or brain damage could smother that stubborn spark. Of course you fought him: manic smile at the door, polite excuses stacking. Of course you lunged for the vase. You were a frightened animal that didn’t know what was good for you.
He whistles low as he crouches by the chest freezer, one knee sinking into damp flooring, bobby pin clamped between his teeth. Picking the padlock feels crude but easier than ripping off the chain or searching for a key. The apartment smells off - wrong, even by your standards. Beside him, the ice bags sweat into widening puddles. He glances over.
You glare from the floor - cheek pressed to the fake tile, hair pasted to your face, both wrists cuffed to the radiator pipe because you refused to sit, to stop kicking, practically refused every warning he gave you. Pride props your hips at an uncomfortable angle; muffled sobs stutter as you try to swallow them. Stubborn thing. Makes him nostalgic for every time you mistook courage for good odds.
“You’re in trouble!” you shout, yanking the cuff. Metal rattles; skin scrapes raw, a thin red line blooming toward your palm. His smile fades. “Careful,” he murmurs.
You ignore him. “There’s a vigilante around here.”
Bobby pin pauses. He meets your eyes, smiles. “I know, baby. If only he were here.” Fury and panic twist your features - here you are. Not healed, but flickering under fear: sharp mouth, wounded pride, fight that proves you need someone stronger.
Click. Chain slithers to the wet floor like a dropped leash. You go still. Breath hitches in tiny bursts; his palm rests on the lid, not lifting yet, enjoying the desperate set of your face. Beg me not to.
“What’s in here?” he asks, voice low. Your lips tremble. Silence. “Baby, what did you do?” Thumb stroking the lip, he waits.
“A body.” The words leak out - tiny, broken.
He studies your face first: eyes wet, cheek glued to tile, wrist bleeding. Embarrassed, not remorseful - cornered, not guilty. Pulse steadies.
“A body,” he repeats, then lifts the lid. Cold sighs out, followed by sweetness gone sour. Plastic-wrapped limbs, frost-blurred features - the caregiver, tucked in with practical care. His gaze traces corpse, chain, puddled ice, then you: still glaring, still calculating whether biting helps. Optimistic.
“Well,” he breathes. Lid stays open; smell dulls. A cop should radio this in. Nightwing should. Instead he thinks: six months alone, one corpse, no help until now.
“You’re going to need someone, aren’t you, princess?”
“Don’t call me that.” Sharp even now.
He smiles with a fond look in his eyes. “I can make this disappear - body, payments, reports.” You stop struggling to listen. Good. “But you’ll do something for me.” He crouches close. Hard not to kiss your tears away.
“You’ll stop hiding. Take meds when I say. Eat real food.” His thumb grazes your torn wrist, voice softening, while his other hand trails down your spine. “And you’ll quit hurting yourself trying to escape the only man trying to help.”
A strangled sound escapes as his palm settles over your heat, giving you two soft, almost patronizing pats. His smile widens as you look over at him, cheeks warmed and dewy. His fingers find their way between your legs and glide along your slit, earning such pretty sounds from your lips. You probably haven't been touched for months. Years, even. So loyal, aren't you? Willing to do anything to cover up your little mistake, huh?
“If you’re lucky,” he whispers, “maybe I’ll marry a cruel thing like you.” He kisses the tear-damp cheek, tasting salt, watching your lips purse back. Pulling his hand away just to watch the frustration on your face. Maybe he'll save such things for marriage. Shouldn't get too hasty. Especially not after last time.

this is why fanfiction is important people!! it allows these precious characters to live in another space (Valko.. huhuhu). this is what cyrene’s existence is all about.
so basically, fanfic writers are in the PATH of REMEMBRANCE (and ENIGMATA bc why tf not i love my characters a bit ooc fuck yeah). basically a convergence of those two paths (since Mythus is suspected? to be born from the remembrance).
personally, i think fanfic writers are more like Cremators that are also a History Fictionologist. I really love the word fictionologist btw dammit. so freaking cool.

It can be safely said that, after chipping away at that stony exterior, Blade possesses a sense of humour. It’s just unfortunate that when he does make a joke that he thinks is funny, it never lands. It also doesn’t help that he delivers it completely devoid of expression, so the sanctity of the joke is always lost.
But you’re the only person in existence who meets his jokes with raucous laughter, sometimes even going so far as to slap your knee and double over with the sheer hilarity of it all.
No wonder the man loves you. You find him funny and he likes that. When others would meet him with confused silence, you’re always laughing your ass off and commending him for his impeccable sense of humour.
One night you’re at dinner with him and his fellow Stellaron Hunters when he says something about the salt shaker. It’s only when he glances around the table expectantly that they realise he’d just made a joke.
And as always, there you are to cleave the awkward silence, laughing heartily and nodding vigorously. Blade smirks, a proud gleam in his eye.
Firefly leans over to you and whispers, “I don’t get it.”
You shake your head and cover your mouth with your napkin, your chortles sounding more and more like dry gasps for help. “I don’t get it either, I never do. I just laugh because he’s hot and I wanna stroke his ego.”
Blade and you get into a heated argument that begets no winners, only two irked lovers. Things are icy until Blade finally swallows his pride and is the first to apologise—but you’re too stubborn to listen to him yet.
“Oh, please,” you scoff, checking out your nails, “unless you can give me a star plucked from the sky, I don’t want to hear anything from you.”
It’s meant to be a figure of speech to imply that he won’t be able to apologise, at least for tonight. You’ll probably be fine in the morning to talk things out maturely.
But you forget; you’re talking to Blade.
Furnace Master Ying-motherfucking-Xing.
The entire night Blade spends tinkering away in his little workshop, much to your confusion and chagrin. What in the world is he doing? Part of you wants to demand him to come to bed, but you’re still bitter from the fight. So you simply lay in bed in silence, arms crossed and eyes gazing at the ceiling while you listen to the occasional thunk of a hammer, whirr of a drill, and hushed whoosh of fire.
You huff. Honestly, even his dedication to his craft is ticking you off right now. Who does he think he is?!
After a long while the door opens, and in steps Bladie, torso bare and slick with sweat, his crafting goggles still on.
Holding a literal star in his hands.
Ignoring your flabbergasted expression as you sit up in bed and ogle, he deadpans, rather redundantly, “I brought you the star you asked for.”
The silence is only filled by a soft vibrating hum from the small celestial ball of light, fiery-gold in its lustrous sheen. You have it in you to sputter, “What—how—huh—”
Blade immediately launches into explanation. “Obtaining the star was the simple part. Given its original temperature and size, I had to smelt it down into a more mortal-friendly miniature through rigorous rearrangement of its gaseous particles, turning them malleable enough to reshape.” He holds it up. “Now it’s safe to touch and can also be used as decoration.”
“Wh-what..?”
The man takes this as avenue to go into detail about melting points, platinum and gold calibrating, and de-vaporisation, but you’re still sputtering in shock and disbelief. Everything’s going in one ear and out the other; your mind is buffering too much to process anything. And the damn star hums and flickers all the while.
“So do you…” he fidgets with the gleaming nova, shifting from one foot to the other, “forgive me now, my sweet?”

Imagine Dan Heng being utterly terrified for his rebirth, solely because he fears not being able to find you in the next life.
Or even worse. What if in his next life, he's just as stubborn as he is now? Wanting nothing to do with anything from his previous life, wanting nothing to do with you?
Just the thought makes him sick to his stomach, along with the realization at just how much of a lack of control he'll one day have over his life.
So, he holds you tighter at night, nuzzling into you so hard it almost aches. You know something is wrong, but until he confesses his greatest fears, you'll be right there next to him.
Jing Yuan agrees to try something different with you — a little game of chase where your only role is to run before you are used to satisfy his hunger. However, you don’t expect him to bend the rules more than a little. Accustomed to taking care of you, it’s natural for him to look after you even as he’s taking what he wants. He’s manifesting his hidden fantasies about making you something vulnerable in his eyes, just so he can tend to you… in his own way. WORD COUNT: 10.7k

There is still a lot for you to learn about Jing Yuan, apparently.
Knowing his rather amiable attitude towards you, just until an hour ago, you maintained your own idea of him: there’s a whole compendium of things he’d refuse to do to you, including the ones regarding the bedroom matters.
You’re currently being proven wrong about how far his limits go, on the run from the man who did end up taking you on your offer to play a game of “you catch me, you get to enjoy me at your mercy.”
You haven’t even stepped outside his property’s grounds, yet there was never such a need when his garden is big enough for a bit of hide-and-seek — you being chased around like a rabbit who just stormed in startled and ruined his plants in frenzy.
As you take a leap to the left from the paved path, into the maze of greenery his lush garden is, oddly not hearing any steps from behind, your mind still works on analyzing what exactly prompted him to agree to your rather precarious idea.
Him pondering whether it’s safe for you to act on it, if he wouldn’t end up hurting you, if you are sure you want to experience something potentially terrifying should your brain start taking the act of being hunted by a big man like him seriously — is most you expected to go through his mind when you were asking him to try something new with you, the subject of the conversation from yesterday.
The mysterious smile you witnessed on his face — if anything, it appearing sort of relieved — as well hearing the promise about you to be properly taken care of by him, were the biggest things you’ve been since perplexed about.
Maybe he’s confident that he can dutifully indulge you in your fantasy without hurting you, incapable of denying you the pleasure. He for sure is not someone who loses his control easily, one good quality for your trust for him to hold onto, on top of being given a verbal way out in case you change your mind halfway through his hunt.
Regardless, your stomach is tight at the thought of him chasing you. It’s full of excitement, as well the dread natural for the fight or flight instinct that’s present even as you know this is all a playmatch; you don’t rest for even a second, constantly changing your location, your adrenaline aiding you despite your exertion growing. Your mind is coming up with the ideas of what he'll do to you once he has you in his grasp too, the notion getting you increasingly wet — you expect him to at least be aggressive and very assertive towards you, as the game suggests.
Will he hold you down, crushing you and your hopes to escape? Will he pull you on your hair to tug you back onto his cock that’s been splitting you apart? Will he tell you what you are to him, jubilant about his victory as he calls you adorable but nonetheless pathetic? Will he pound you roughly, demanding that you give yourself to him?
You have half a mind to make a ploy and get yourself caught on purpose, early on — you’ve been obsessed with the idea of unraveling the more hidden parts ofJing Yuan.
So caught up in your own fantasies, running past by the plum trees you still try to protect from your clumsiness, respecting his hard work enough, you suddenly catch a sound forcing you aware. Crackly, of a pebble being pressed into the sand collected between the stones’ cracks. Your rapidly racing and worn out heart skips a beat.
You suspect Jing Yuan let you hear himself on purpose, since you don’t doubt his ability to move silently, given for the trained soldier he is. Merely playing with you or even giving you a sign to pick up your pace… in any case, without doubt, enjoying himself — he's been mocking you like this ever since you started.
You quickly hide behind the ornamental grasses, glad that the pine trees behind you don't circle enough light through their branches which surely would make your cover more translucent. The artificial sun of Luofu is still hanging high at this hour, coating your skin in a salty secretion.
Out of breath from running, you clutch your chest, trying to even out your out of pattern rhythm and stay quiet as to avoid exposing yourself.
You nearly gasp when he suddenly speaks, his deep voice startling you from surprisingly just a few meters away — has he been so close to you the entire time?
“You’ve been keen on running and hiding from me for quite a while now, little scared bunny…” Jing Yuan laughs with amusement. You can’t quite tell which direction his voice is coming from, adding to your unease. Your knees tremble, eager to collapse your crouching form and provide relief from the nasty cramps building up, waiting around the corner to attack you in the worst moment of the chase. You bite your lip hard. “You only need to reveal yourself, and whatever happens after, I promise I will treat you kindly.”
His words feel like a trap — gentle and kind is the last you expect to receive as a treatment. He’s got to be taunting you — he already gave you plenty of head start, knowing the game would otherwise be over in a matter of few seconds.
Then your ears catch one step closer to you, as your breath hitches. You don't move, pretending you're not there, hoping for the tiniest of chances he'll believe you…
Second step and you once again doubt he’s not going to one you up on your tactics. With the breeze swaying grass, your nose picks up a scent of his herbal and citrus cologne carried over to you, the like of a lemon tea; the danger is that close.
Third, and you’re springing to your feet, revealing your figure to him as you stand up, then as you run away. For the mere moment before you have to avert your eyes to the next hiding spot, you finally get to see him — unlike you, his pants and shirt made of light fabric seem spared from sweat, as if he's been making shadow after you effortlessly.
He flashes a smile at the way you scurry away in a jittery fashion.
He’s really enjoying this. You’re in big trouble, feeling like an actual prey being stalked, taking away from your confidence.
You’re soon crossing the bridge carried over the nearest pond, entering another part of Jing Yuan’s garden — a bamboo grove you find more suitable for escaping his trail.
Pushing through the thicket, with your hands separating the stalks of bamboo to create your trackway, you hope his bigger posture will impede his movement through the condensed space the tall shafts create. It’s more dark and moist here, adding oppressive weight to the air surrounding you, settling oxygen into your scratched lungs with less mercy.
The thin summer dress you wear, both to allow your skin to breathe and to serve as easy access for him, clings to your sweaty body already flushed with arousal before everything started. Your skirt bounces with each move forward, enticingly giving him a view of your panties when that flattering short cut recoils from your thighs.
From what you can hear amid the whistling wind force your body creates, he’s not chasing you; he’s walking in a way that's untroubled by your escape, making thumping sounds on the wooden platform with big and quick strides of his long legs instead. It’s frustrating how he doesn't have to do much in order to keep up with you.
“Stop taxing yourself!” he calls over the distance between you two, full of mirth. “That said, I should be thankful — you make for quite the lively exercise for an old and rusty man such as myself. I do need some respite from my rather stressful role.”
A man few centuries old or not, you don't believe him for a word — his agility would have terrified you if you didn't know him as your lover. He’s been a dutiful general too, even if sometimes the stakes are high and tribulations pile up.
You don't even bother with answering his clear provocations: too breathless, as well too self-aware about the truth you’ll take the bait and get yourself distracted by arguing back. So he keeps on speaking for the both of you and the game, soon effortlessly pushing through the tight corridor of greenery he enters after you.
“It’s inevitable that I catch you, sweet finch,” it's spoken with a bit of wickedness to the inflection. You think his skill of a warrior, one rather fearless and fierce, destructive if necessary, comes to him as naturally as his tenderness does — two sides of the same coin. It’s no wonder he’s having fun, like a fish in water.
You know this well: you could never win against someone like him. Or, perhaps, you could — if only Jing Yuan was all muscles. But he’s got plenty of brains too, that any of your strategies are being swiftly defeated by centuries of experience as the arbiter-general.
And yet, you aim to prolong the game, both stubborn and excited in your actions. Regardless of you nearly hyperventilating, as your body screams for a break.
While your legs at this point move for you rather than because of you, and the bamboos swirl in your vision, he keeps faltering your hopes with his commentary.
“Be careful or you might break a leg,” he chides playfully after you nearly slip on a damp patch of earth. “Surely you’ve had enough running — why not come home with me?”
Every few ragged breaths you turn your head around, needing to gain your bearings, but you never quite have the chance to spot him, this way forced to concentrate on the direction of his voice instead.
“Isn’t that exhausting to beat a retreat from something bound to happen? You’ll only hurt yourself over something in my garden, when you could simply allow me do what needs to be done.”
He pauses to let his words sink in and for you to grow in tension.
“I understand that the need to desperately protect yourself is inherent to a panicked rabbit like you, however…”
He taps your shoulder out of nowhere — you have not heard him at all — and you nearly vomit your heart from the perturb the move gives you.
You think his hands will grab you that you almost turn around to push him away in response, but instead, he lets you pick up the pace and get ahead of him again.
He then says something confusing, especially that his tone takes on a more gentle level — you wonder if it’s yet another tactic of his. “…You’re safer with me. Believe it or not,” he calls from now a safer distance, his voice spreading through the tall bamboo, gentle yet unwavering, barely winded even as he finally breaks into a proper run. “But if you must follow your instincts… I hope it’s time you spend making peace with the fact that I’ll be there, waiting for you when you’re at the brink of collapsing.”
Your nerves were already taut like a bowstring, and hearing his promise makes them inconsolable.
Less fed with adrenaline if stuffed with nerves, you’re sinking into a state where you’re more acutely aware of your body — your lungs burn from your wheezes and you can taste blood, your calves threaten to seize from the cramp finally building up, your heart beats so fast and wants to leave your chest you get dizzy from it. You can only hope for earnest sips of water for your dry mouth.
Desperate, you start grabbing bamboo stalks as you pass them to swing those at him, just enough to slow him for a heartbeat.
“Oh!” he makes a surprised, yet satisfied exclamation, stopping his march just in time. “Smart, I’ll give you that, but is it effective enough?” He laughs, soon dodging each of your fraught with trepidation casts.
Your stomach sinks at yet another failure; at this point, fear starts becoming a bit too real, teasing the part of you that thinks how exhilarating it is.
But even as you battle the sudden urge to stay in control, you don’t look back and risk giving him advantage this way — because, finally, your eyes reach the edge of the bamboo maze that you sprint forward to.
Bursting out of the grove onto the rocky elevation that separates it from one of the many cobblestone paths in his garden, that foolish spark of hope flares up in you again. But in your rush, you don’t see a short, bamboo stalk jutting from the ground, cut in the past to avoid spreading illness to its companion. Your foot catches it, and you stumble violently.
A sharp, alarmed inhale escapes Jing Yuan’s mouth as he watches you lose your footing — but before you can hit the ground, he catches you with a single hand under your waist.
You expect him to set you upright, for you to continue your desperate getaway, thinking he’s not yet exhausted in driving you out of your sense of safety.
Instead, he topples you down, careful only not to let your head strike the stones with his hand under it, and you gasp under the sudden weight pressing your body into the dirt collected between the cracks of the path you're lying on.
You cough vehemently, your lungs overwhelmed that they were finally allowed some sensible breather, even if your throat complains at the dryness being aggravated in the pushout.
“There you are…” he declares smoothly, with his mouth lowered to your ear. He adjusts his grip underneath your now-shaky form; his hand goes from under your head to the back of it, holding it down as he anticipates you’re likely to bite him. The other arm underneath you reads as restrictive, and you dread how defenseless he makes you feel.
Currently having your dress’s threads sacrificed to the coarse pavement and skin scraped, there’s not much you can do other than thrash and whimper beneath his hefty body, which covers your back completely. You try to bend your arms backward at uncomfortable angles, to scratch or push at him — but it’s all futile, barely more than a tickle to him, confirmed by his chuckle.
Jing Yuan finally caught you, and the thought is as worrisome as it is thrilling. As you watch the dirt being ground into your face from your flails, you thank the universe for making him your lover, not your enemy…
Your body tense, your voice still stuck in your throat, and your arousal causing you aches that you’ve been trying to ignore so you can focus on your objectives — he’s allowed to take advantage of all of your pathetic stance, you this vulnerable being at his mercy.
“You’re wearing yourself down, hiding from me like a wounded animal would. Now, what did I tell you about running? You could have seriously hurt yourself. I think it's time we end this panicked fleeing of yours. I gave you enough time to acclimatize to these surroundings, yet you're only running in circles, risking your wellbeing.” He sounds oddly worried, as if one blunder made by you was enough for him to decide to withdraw you from this stage of your game.
Seeing you only try to kick back at him with a frustrated growl, you’re given another round of inapt for your circumstances reassurance. “You must be so frightened and it’s perfectly natural, I understand… shh, it’s alright… I will take a good care of you, as per my promise. You're safe now,” he croons. Still pinning you down with his arm over your collarbones, he raises his other hand to brush your hair tenderly to the side. His hawk gaze, having been enticed by your meekness, now softens when it observes your cheek compressed painfully to the ground, and then the tears prickling your eyes already.
You shiver at his long hair tickling your nape, while your lungs are struggling to even out your respiration regardless that you’re no longer running and can retake your calmer pattern, his muscle weight not helping either.
Tired of your efforts going to waste, you finally speak. “Let me go!” you demand so loudly that the few birds hiding in the garden take off from their trees, while your hands try to gather rather scarce in its amount dirt to throw at him.
Except, you’re still a bit confused about his behavior — tender and soft-spoken, debunking any ideas you originally had of him for this scenario. Taking on the role of some protector is not what you expected from him at all, and yet, it also doesn’t fall far out of his character.
You can tell he’s been enjoying himself treating you in resemblance of something fragile, as you feel his hardness pressing against your panties-clad ass, below your dress bunched up, the large imprint of his bulge provocative against your wetness. Every twitch of your body has you biting your moans down from coming contact with him.
“I’m afraid that’s no longer possible,” Jing Yuan says, his tone headstrong but free of malice, as if his decision is made for your own good. “Let’s take you inside, before you find yet another opportunity to hurt yourself.”
Inside. What will he do to you once he has you isolated in his house? You live here too, yet today, he’s made it his own territory by exceeding your efforts with little endeavor.
Before you can try to scramble away from him one more time, digging your nails into the cobblestones, he’s already hoisting you up with his strong arms to then stand up. You’re a weightless mass to the man like him, so when he shifts you and throws you over his shoulder, it’s done with no resistance from his bones.
You kick and flail, fists beating on his back, but he’s an untouchable, unbreakable statue.
He huffs with amusement under his nose, as though you struggling is nothing more than endearing, comparable to coming from a small, weak creature foolish enough to believe it could hurt a lion.
An exceptionally gentle and patient lion.
During his walk towards your shared space, your view bounces with each step, forcing you to acknowledge every path and turn you’ve taken to hide or run, while your guts churn in anticipation of what’s coming next. Eying them, you think of all the other routes that would have been better and should have been acknowledged by you… and whether there’s still some way you can manage to outsmart him one last time.
When your limbs finally still from your focus, he gives your backside a light slap over where your panties don't cover it — not affectionate so much as knowing, a reminder that he that he already envisioned your intensions.
You freeze up, your muscles forming rigid disposition, just like a bunny would — except she refuses to accept her submissive position, when the other side already assumes himself as domineering.
“Your head must be rather busy right now. Thoughts of what I might do to you… with you… and of what I actually will do,” he remarks supposedly lightly, even if he knows well his words are stressful to hear. “You needn’t trouble yourself, I assure you. Nothing particularly dreadful awaits you…”
He’s not haughty, he’s not gloating and treating you like a trophy, but rather assumes you to be some lost prey. A predator utilizing his superiority for protecting, not harming; while, nonetheless, immensely getting off to the prey’s vulnerability.
The surroundings you had learned to recognize as the ones around his house come to your view rather soon — some other stone pots rolling around the entrance, a few statues of guarding lions under the wooden pillars supporting the building, a platform you’d share tea with and kisses at in other circumstances.
It feels like walking into his den, with no point of return.
“You have no right to take me with you. Put me down!” you hiss at him, bending your limbs in all kind of formations to cause assault again. But when you dig your “claws” into his back, he only laughs, enchanted by your spirit… as redundant it is for your situation.
He spanks you again — harder this time — and you stop struggling, whining at the pain you now concede to to avoid from coming third time.
With his swiftness, you’re stepping back into the Luofu-traditional house you share with him in no time. But caught in the adrenaline intoxication, dragged inside against your protests, it feels less like home and more like a place about to become your vivarium — before Jing Yuan can thoroughly mess with and ruin his catch.
“See?” he says calmly. “It's much safer inside. It’s just you and…me.”
That avowal only unsettles you further — you don’t need to worry about the risks outside, not when he alone feels like threat enough.
With every step closer to the bedroom, your heart hammers and you get washed in cold sweat, still stuck in a mix of anxiety and thrill. Your body hair stands. The instinct to get away from someone easily capable of hurting you is undeniable, yet so is the curiosity towards what awaits behind that door.
He nudges the sliding door open with his foot, entering despite your renewed, feral protests. “You brute, I said let me go!”
When he lowers you onto the rosewood bed, laid with beige sheets, gently like you’re brittle and awaiting any rapid movement from him, you’re instantly crawling towards the edge of the mattress.
Jing Yuan stops you just as quickly if not more, fingers closing around your ankle and pulling you back to the center, before he settles his weight over you. Breath is stolen from your lungs once more.
“No,” he chides, and with his arms next to your head, he fondles your cheeks with some kind of fondness, soothing your hypothesized prey-driven defensiveness. You wince as he brushes your fresh scratches to dust you off from the remaining dirt. “No need to run… I understand your fear, but this must be done. You need to see this is where you belong from today — under my protection.”
The prior confusion you felt over his softness, as well over the coddling of your person’s prowess makes its return, as he keeps disproving your expectations of what he’s supposed to do to you.
“Get away from me!” you still snarl with defiance. “You despicable man, talking about this care for me after you kidnapped me here!” You raise your hand to slap him — maybe if you show him enough bratty demeanor, he’ll finally abandon his conviction that you’re a defenseless, fragile thing in need of his tender handling.
You brace yourself for some retaliation, for Jing Yuan to finally snap.
You’re granted only a single breath, before he’s forcing your legs apart with his knee and moving to be between them, this same flipping up your dress to rest over your hips. Right in time as he grabs your hand midair, then the other — and pins both over your head, looming over you.
You manage only to push yourself back towards the headboard only a little before you’re hitting it with your skull.
“That’s not very nice. Though I suppose this is what scared bunnies do… desperately try to protect themselves,” he hums to himself, while his golden eyes trail your thrashing form of a wounded prey — with a great appetite, eager to correct some things. “Nothing that cannot be overcame with a bit of… gentle push towards right mindset.”
He doesn’t rush to rip your clothes as your imagination has conjured about him. Instead, his mouth is all over your neck, trailing behind with his tongue — following a direction from your collarbones up to your jaw, slowly and carefully, but also with the insistence to make you squirm in a different way.
You shudder from the tingling his tongue’s warmth and texture bring; even so, the urge to fight him and resurface as victorious, as well to provoke some more viciousness both remain.
“Stop and get your filthy hands off me!” you demand, turning your head to the side to avoid his touch. And yet, you can only wriggle the rest of your body in a pathetic attempt with last bits of energy, futile against his hold and heavy weight.
With him between your legs, kicking him is also useless — he presses his crotch flush to yours, and the strain of his cock against his pants, throbbing, leaves you trembling.
Attacked from both ends, every sense heightened, your body and its pleasure are at his mercy. You already are overwhelmed, more sensitive than ever — inability to run away from his stimulation only forces you to feel it tenfold.
“Jing Yuan… stop…!” you bark an order again, albeit your words carry little fortitude when yet another humping movement of his hips derives a first moan from you. You’re so soaking wet you can feel your panties stick to your skin uncomfortably.
Regardless of him being gentler than anticipated, his subtle dominance he still exerts over your fate, the pushiness over your body, they all set you frenzy.
“I won’t stop. However, it’s okay to speak your mind, if it helps you feel better,” is what he says dismissively to your demand, then accentuated with a groan and another filthy kiss to your fragile throat, his own tone becoming tremulous from the pleasure contact with you brings.
He has already decided your protests are no more than an obstacle to assuring your wellbeing. So he stays here: slowly rolling his hips into your clothed cunt back and forth, while carefully handling your restless wrists like a gentle giant. Even the vibrations of his voice ricochet against your sensitized nerves.
Another wail passes through your lips, and this time, your tears streak your hot cheeks unrestrained.
“See? You need this more than you’re letting on,” he continues with another kiss, assessing everything about you with content eyes. Every of the smallest twitches, catches in your breath, your lips parting when you no longer can hold in your ecstasy, your muscles tightening from the strong work of you arching away from him... “Your body has been waiting for this, for someone like me to take care of it, so it can be sated, whether you admit it or not.”
“N-no… I don’t belong to you!” you insist, glaring down at him with all the might you could muster. But in his perspective, your defiance reads not as strength, but as meekness stubbornly disguised as courage.
“You’re making this more difficult than it needs to be, precious.”
Without any hesitation, his lips smash against yours — tenderly, yet with enough strength to support his hold over you. Alternating between soft brushes of his lips and selfish digs of his hungry tongue, he makes sure to coax you into compliance, simultaneously grinding friction into your pussy more properly.
You can barely breathe, not even from his fervor and voracity, as it is from the haze over your senses. Your groin almost hurts and you think you’ve never been more insatiable. As your clit pulses and rushes with blood underneath, you’re desperate to be filled by him like you’re still not complete enough without it.
His scent, his weight, his confidence — you think you could be here forever, so you choose to momentarily give in, to be worshiped and pleasured by his lips. You remember yourself only a few kisses later, tightening your legs around him in attempt of pushing him away, until next kisses are stealing your zeal even more than before.
Pulling away as if to sort out your resistance, he passes your wrists into one hand so he can wipe your tears for you with his other. His head towering over yours, driving you nervous from the closeness, you get a view of a man you still wait to attack you — in spite of his patience, he can never erase something sharper from his concentrated features, inherent to him. “You’re only exhausting yourself,” he murmurs softly. “You’re growing really tired, aren’t you? Still caught in that fight mode…
… but I have something right to help you slacken your defenses, and acknowledge the fact that I am here for you.”
Slowly, he releases your face, letting his hand move upwards on the way to untie the red ribbon holding his hair. His thick strands fall and cascade around his face. As you start to thrash again — although with less ardor this time — he secures your hands together to the frame of his bed.
“What are you doing…” you ask with a rasped tenor, your chest heaving. The throb between your legs becomes higher at this new tactic, with your mind painting images of how he might use you in this position.
To your surprise, the ribbon, while being thin, is made from some more durable material, as tugging your hands to yourself and twisting your head on the pillow around doesn't help in breaking it.
You’re even more exposed for him, his for the taking.
Coming up to rest on his knees, he then he has your skirt flipped over your stomach, exposing your panties with their darkened patch. He drinks it all in — your shape he’s come to know and desire well, your arousal, your vulnerability — with all the more hunger.
The straps of your dress are knocked down your arms, making you shiver as your skin gets grazed with his fingertips.
“No, no, wait…!” you plead with a high pitch, even if at this point it’s hard to hide the wantonness building up in your clouded eyes, your lips unable to close from how breathless they are too.
“Shh. It’s alright, as always,” Jing Yuan calms you gently, his hands coming upwards on the both of your thighs quivering as they're draped over his thick ones. His palms’ path is ascending way too high for his actions to be as innocent as he tries to portray them as. “It might feel strange at first, but I trust you'll come to understand in no time…”
Before you can whine-articulate a question burning on your mind, one of his hands is already rubbing you through your underwear, digging the fabric into your folds with the middle and index finger movements up and down your slit. You squirm especially when now and then he brushes your clit with that friction. Tiny shocks spread all over your groin, heat builds up in your belly, as your legs try to instinctively shut despite finally given something better.
Your lover sighs fondly, monitoring every reaction. His cock twitches and he has to put a strain on his body to avoid fucking you right off the bat, his hardness growing; you see his forearms flexing in struggle to stay fair with his strength on you.
“Already so wet… you need to let your own body guide you and everything will be alright if you do,” he chuckles, his thick fingers slipping underneath your panties’ band to feel the gathered evidence of your desire clearly. “It knows well what it’s missing, even when that stubborn mind doesn’t reach the same conclusions just yet.”
You jolt when he applies direct pressure on your bud, his thumb nearly slipping away from how soaked you are. Tugging at your restraints, whimpering, you shake your head. “No… you have no right…”
“I don't? And yet,” he lowers his voice to be quiet, intimate only between you two. He’s speaking his own truths before he can prove them in reality too. “I think your body recognizes exactly what it’s been missing in order to be at solace…”
Your legs clamp around him when he pushes his finger into your hole — slowly, yet spreading your walls apart with just one due to its thickness. He’s done that many times in the past, but something about your trepidation today actually makes the insertion feel intrusive, as if he's taking you apart and rebuilding you.
The stretch is there, no matter how eager you are, and your poor muscles clench in attempt to reject the sensation; yet, the pleasure slowly builds up around your sensitive entrance, your hole twitching around his finger and never stopping in getting wet.
You shake your head once more, huffing your breaths, and Jing Yuan leans in to kiss your forehead. His head stays on top of yours, not allowing any eye-contact to get lost as he continues fingering you. “I have to prepare you properly, you know. I wouldn’t want to hurt you,” he informs softly.
You know exactly what he means by prepare; but with your mind still addled, a bit dazed from the new situation of being forcefully cared for, you’re still acting alarmed and confused. Nonetheless, you’re desperate to hear him avow his intentions. “What are you going to do?” you manage to ask, shakily.
“I’ll take you so you can realize your place is here, with me, protected… even if I must guide you with a more solid hand,” he says that firmly, his other palm massaging your thigh. “You’ll see soon enough how much you need this.. and me. You’re too fragile on your own, my sweetling.”
He finally pulls your panties down your legs, giving you a warning look when you try to shut them again — and you, taken aback by it, obey.
A second finger joins his first after. They’re forcing to make more space and sinking deep, and you have to be breathe in short pants; you’ve taken Jing Yuan’s cock many times, only to now be barely able to imagine it fitting if just two fingers inspire sparks of sting.
Your brows knitted together in concentration at the fullness between your thighs, you find your toes curling at every feeling he’s instilling in your body. Subconsciously, you start swaying your body up and down along his rhythm, the coil tightening in your stomach.
His fingers work slowly but deeply, and occasionally, he angles their fingertips to reach the most sensitive spots inside you he made sure to learn a long time ago. He’s only deliberately avoiding your clit, ensuring every sensation builds up without a premature release.
“Yes, just like that…,” he murmurs with pride, kissing your cheek. “Your only job is to let me in. Enjoy yourself while you’re at that.”
You mewl in response, your eyes closing for a moment. Even seeing the sunny-set room becomes too much of a stimuli when he’s messing with you like this; it must all the emotions accompanying you in this game that amplify everything.
“Wounded and lost birds don’t belong outside… not until they’re properly taken care of,” he carries his words softly into your ear, beginning to kiss your neck again — sweetly, as juxtaposition to the fact you’re still bound and defenseless.
You drift into a headspace you’ve never known before, where the only world you’re capable of thinking is Jing Yuan — quiet and steady, yet the fire keeping it warm is crackling heat enough to burn. You feel secure there, pliant, even as a part of you awaits for his greed to deepen — you’ll gladly accept it as long as he keeps holding you.
You're still not sure what's gotten into him; or maybe he's always been like this, awaiting a moment where he can fully unleash his fantasies of being a protector, considering his knack for tending to you and other vulnerable beings. So much it becomes a fetish on its own, for a man needing to be needed as to not feel lonely in his later years, and especially generous when it comes to his beloved.
You can tell he’s barely containing his excitement on top of you, the twitch of his fingers in you telling you how much he’s holding back from just grabbing and manhandling you, so does the occasional grind into the mattress to relieve some pressure, or the want behind his hooded eyelids.
Until he no longer denies himself.
Once he’s sure your squeeze is not so hard he could believe you’ll break his fingers, he pulls them out, having you whimper at the emptiness. Unabashedly, he licks them clean with a content grunt, twisting your stomach with chagrin.
While you start your attempt to break restraints one more time, now as though remembering to excite him with your helplessness, he moves onto undressing himself. He sends you patronizing look, amused at what’s already been proven as useless.
And the truth is, he would have prolonged his stripping to tease you until you’re begging to be shown your place, if only it weren’t for him being impossibly restless himself today.
“Jing Yuan…” you half-whisper, gulping nervously at the raw realization of how far things have developed. Your little request to be chased finally reaches its zenith, and you’re not sure if you can handle what he’s about to serve you.
He chortles at the vivid worry you show after his leaking hardness is finally out, as if it’s the first time he ever fucks you.
“Hmm… I suppose you have not yet given up on the idea of fighting should I let you go, but you clearly also need something to hold onto, therefore…” He leans over you and removes the ribbon from your wrists.
As anticipated by him, you're immediately throwing hands at him, grabbing his shoulders to push him away — and as suspected by you, he’s inexorable.
Your blood is rushing all over your body at this rate, getting you awfully dizzy from the high another spell of adrenaline brings that your ears ring.
“I’m fine with you scratching me. You’ll need it,” he says almost humorously.
“Please… there's no way I can…” Your eyes don't stray away from the spot between his legs, wary.
“You’re underestimating yourself, as well my determination to make this work for us.”
He sends you one more soft look, briefly brushes your face with his knuckles, before ripping your dress off — in a movement so fast you can't even blink first.
Jing Yuan’s staring at your nude form disconcerts you, as if you might have never been naked in front of him before. While you previously had no qualms about provoking him, you wonder if he’d remain as patient should you taunt him now — his dark gaze penetrates you like a x-ray, and he’s taking in all that he plans to make his today.
“I only wish I could have more time to touch you properly, yet when you’re being so restless, you really leave me no choice here…”
He removes your bra too, his one hand slipping under your back to unclasp it, the other keeping your wrists at bay.
Your nipples turn hard from the sudden gush of colder air the room has been maintaining. You’re squirming and crying again, but rather than it being fear from the collection of your volatile emotions, it’s the vulnerability getting to you.
“Look at you. So beautiful. So precious, thinking something bad will happen to you,” he praises with a tease entwined into it, finding your squirms and wide eyes adorable.
His hands cup your breasts, feeling them for at least a moment, groaning at their softness and weight. He makes a promise to himself to take you apart piece by piece, with more diligence and patience next time.
Then he lowers himself close to rest on top your body. It’s done with his muscular arms gathering your upper body close to his chest; the position is overwhelmingly intimate to you, despite it anchoring you too. The weight of his broad body brings a memory of how often he naps directly on top of you; you barely can handle it then, and so now his physique is another force to make you compliant.
“You're in very good hands…” he says shakily as he starts dragging his cock across your wet slit, mixing his pre-cum into your arousal. His hips are doing all the work, as he only suspends them and his thighs with the weight on his knees as to not crush you entirely.
Instead of pushing him this time, you paw at his shoulders for any type of relief, as your mouth opens in surprise and leaves a raspy wail. At this point, your body is too weak against the pleasure being given to you too well after you've been starving for it ever since the game between you started — the most of your vigor was already exhausted anyway.
“J-Jing Yuan… it's too much…” you can barely say.
He observes you above you, and your vision is obstructed by his kind smile and his hair veiling you from anything precarious around you.
“Don’t fight it. You’ve come so far. You should be proud of yourself.”
His tip catches against your clit’s hood, but he never stops to give your bud proper attention, drawing your anticipation and desperation high. He’s more about getting you used to the feeling of his cock, the same way he is coating himself in your slick.
You're like a squeaky mess underneath him, so he takes it one step further, leaning down to leave a bite on your chest that has you kicking with your feet.
It’s the same moment he starts pushing inside, utilizing his distraction, although it’s just his thick head at first — nonetheless, this shallowness drives him as crazy when the most sensitive part of his length is coated in your heat and tight wrap, that his breath hitches sharply.
With another of your cry-outs, he distracts you with another bite, that you’re not even allowed to complain about the stretch on his thick girth.
He dives a little bit more inside, your insides trying to push him out — but the glide of your excessive wetness only allows him to move forward.
“Jing Yuan…!” you gasp, digging your nails into his shoulders.
He peeks at you from your chest level, witnessing your frail state. He could take it more slowly, but with you all restless and he all pent up, he makes a decision.
“You’ll be alright.”
You don’t have time to question his words with alarm. Before you know it, he’s pushing your legs to your chest and sinking deep into you in one thrust.
The splitting pressure you feel on your pussy is immediate, and your mouth opens for a scream that never is vocalized. He’s always been big and you did well in taking it, you’ve taken him just yesterday, and yet, today you feel closer to being a virgin. You're so full you’re worried just one inhale of breath will allow him to sink too deep, lying here frozen.
How vicious you are around him is proven by the loud groan and the sound of your name he lets out, as if just being cockwarmed by you may get him fucked out.
He huddles your thighs with his hips that fall down, keeping you close even as you try to dig your feet into the mattress — sideways — to push yourself away from him. He clicks his tongue at you, adjusting his grip underneath your knees as a precaution. “No, no, hold still… you’re finally tere, there’s no point in running now…” he coos, watching you with a troubled expression, as if there’s some kind of torment in you and he’s guiding you towards a remedy for it. “You're winding yourself up unnecessarily.”
“S-stop… it’s too much… I can’t…” your voice creaks. In need of stability, you purchase his sanctuary by wrapping your arms around him; not without immediately clawing at his back, mad in your sensory overload. His scent, his weight, his warmth, his control — it’s really too much.
Jing Yuan gives you an experimental thrust nonetheless — withdrawing just the half of his length, then pushing it right back in so you never suffer being empty. Your moan that follows after mixes with his own, though his sounds more relieved.
“Finally…”
You have a hunch this one word uttered with bliss is not exactly a relief coming from being inside of you, but something far more meaningful to the man possessing a penchant for caregiving; you’re not given much time to dwell over it as he starts moving his cock in and out, bursting pleasure within you like his fingers did.
It’s not much painful, as it is prying at every inch of your walls — as well at your person entirely. You've been his, you’ve certainly felt his, yet what he’s doing today feels like reassuring and reinforcing his statement about you being a bird to safely cup in his hands.
You’re shedding tears, peering at him with a lingering confusion; as if wondering how you ended up here, and why is this man so adamant on doing this despite your protest and is also doing so by staying so gentle.
Still, your heart syncs with his — both are fierce, just racing from different emotions — so does your sounds sync. None of you can look away from each other — if you were to, you’d never atone for denying him the indulgence of witnessing you this delicate.
“I cannot even fathom you being possibly more precious than this…” it comes out a with a prettiest and softest of laughs, and despite your struggle, some part of you wishes to melt from it.
As he continues fucking you, you’re nearly suffocating underneath all that muscle weight resting heavily on top of you, and him constantly stretching you out back and forth with his girth only adds to the breathless state. And yet, he’s been moving slowly, as if he might rattle you should he move too much, but still pushing his hips close enough to make sure you feel full and his. Taken, grounded, bound.
You feel something growing in you, the pleasure you can’t avoid, but it’s so different when you’re playing this role, as if it’s meant to change you forever. Rewrite you as someone to always need him to carry you through days safely.
It's almost scary.
“I can’t…” you whimper out, and he groans as you tighten around him.
He only holds you closer. “I know, I know this is all new to you, but you’re safe here with me,” he reassures soothingly into your ear as he lowers his head, then presses a kiss to your cheek.
He thrusts deeply in again, forcing you to feel his balls over your ass, as well the stretch that feels as revolutionary every push back inside — slower pace forces you to feel every inch and ridge dragged across your wet walls.
Everything is to be experienced as innermost, his hot skin on yours, his watchfulness, the tight grip on your body he won’t let go of. The space of the world has narrowed down to this room he'd gladly not let you out of for a long time, if only you remain obtaining his love through the watchful acts. It’s one thing no one can take away from him.
“I feel weird…” you mumble through the ordeal of gasps he keeps stealing from you.
“Mhm… you’re not adjusted to being safe like this, are you?…” he coos. His thrusts are dragged with a satisfied grunt every time you take him, as if each sound is a praise for you. “You were shaking, outside on your own, just anticipating the moment someone hurts you… I had to take you away from that fear.”
He lets go of your legs and grabs your waist instead, now trusting that you will refuse any subversion — you do, wrapping your legs around him and voluntarily taking his cock in even deeper even as your throat gurgles from the expansion on your pussy.
“That’s my precious girl,” he says, all besotted by you. Resting his body on top of yours as he maintains his movements, he lays his cheek over yours, watching your tearful eyes.
The praise hurts your stomach. Deeply affecting you susceptible to everything going on, as it’s spreading down to your bone marrow.
The answer as why he’s tender like this is still not entirely clear, the need to escape something currently opening your being in different ways is as fresh, yet you also need him. He’s been there for you, with you, for so long, and he’s taking care of you even during the game that was an invitation to be selfish.
At this point, his thrusts, while still slow, take on more force and depth, kissing your cervix. You’re nearly hyperventilating on your moans. You’re sure your raking nails scarred his back for weeks, but he shows no pain, as if this is a sacrifice he’s willing to take.
Jing Yuan is not far behind in getting overwhelmed, exhaling deeply with every love made, lashes-heavy and cheeks-flushed on his face. His thick brows knit together, tormented by your heat, “So tight- You could easily kill an immortal this way…”
With another kiss given to you after, he shifts your sticky bodies together for more attention to give you. “Come here,” he murmurs gently. He draws the both of you to rest on your sides without entirely pulling out, ensuring you’re facing each other, still holding you. You drape your leg over his hip and let him enter you fully; you’re no longer scraping his back but you make sure to at least bruise his bicep.
“You needed this. You can feel all of me, can you not?” he speaks between yet another kiss.
You can only nod.
One of his hands slips down to your ass before he starts to bounce you on his cock. Withdrawing fully to fuck his length back inside you right to the brim, taunting you as the itch of being empty is immediately scratched with the relief of being full — too full — right after; he doesn't need to move fast to leave your mouth agape and you sobbing. His balls slap your skin, his thrusts stir your wetness — aeons, you’re so wet — and when he presses his pelvis flush to your mound, his pubic hair rubs your clit deliciously.
Your desperation grows, and so you try to move your body faster — not only to cum if to expel the restlessness as well. Your peace is meddled with because slow mercy is currently actually worse than pounding cruelty, if the first makes you feel every vein of his length and crevice of his head pushing your hole apart.
He doesn’t let you, deriving a frustrated mewl from you — he instead squeezes your flesh till it bites back at you.
“Feel it,” he chides gently.
“But I can’t—” You look up at him, meeting his amused gaze, in hopes you could finally weaponize your softness to get what you want.
He stops moving for a second, but props up his tip deep inside of you, a smallest of warnings; effective, as you whimper. “You’re not coming until you take me as if you are rapacious for it.”
You grumble petulant before you rest your face in his chest, hoping leastwise his alive rhythm will soothe your myriad of feelings; as well hoping he’ll keep you protected, pondering whether his importunate seed of temporary overprotectiveness has finally corrupted you.
You would have thought his heart to be calm even in those circumstances, a man who lately has been fearing only losing you, not that much facing his opponents, but it’s wild, like a bird trapped in a veiled cage. He does love you.
He lets you stay there and rolls his hips until it becomes agony to deny himself the vision of your tenuous face.
“You mustn't hide your face — how else will I know what you need?”
You refuse to reveal yourself, clinging to the rough surface of his muscles.
“Darling,” he murmurs into your ear, before biting your lobe, coaxing your willingness with shivers. “Look at me.”
But you remain unyielding, conscientious in easing your bodily burdens this way, “K-keep going.”
You hear a sigh, which you have a bad feeling about.
You’re right to renew your worries when you suddenly find yourself being lifted into air; manhandled like you’re weightless. You end up straddling Jing Yuan, basically skewered on his length.
“No, no, I can’t—” you say frantically, trying to push yourself upright with your hands braced against his stomach.
He rests his head and shoulders against the headboard, holding your hips in a prison you can’t escape despite your vigor. You’re sized up with a soft gaze not entirely clean of being covetous for your vulnerability. “You can. You’ve been doing so the entire time.
Show me how much you need this.”
Yet you don’t move to fuck yourself onto his cock. You really believe you can’t. Sitting directly on top of it might as well drill an exit to your throat, as you can feel it in your belly. You think you may have to ask Jing Yuan to use only your thighs from after this farce ends.
He smiles at your squirms, noticing the desperation tension in your thighs to keep your body suspended. “Come on, you’ll earn yourself a cramp if you don't settle. All it takes is…”
He hoists you by your hips and moves you up despite you trying to push his hands away, the old struggle fully making its return. You panic as he lowers you back onto his girth to the base, even if the pleasure you’ve been chasing blooms anew.
Your head lolls back, your eyes glazing over too, and it hangs like this when he starts moving you like a doll — at last being more indulgent.
Despite your initial fantasy about being used, you find out you bit more than you can chew — at this point, the bed creates unsteady cacophony to his huffed grunts.
You want to push your body down, to rest on him chest to chest as you can’t breathe and choke on the sex-moist air, you can’t handle the pressure either, and so you lean your torso forward him.
But he doesn't let you. He cups your throat gently, keeping you upright to pep you up. The whine you let out vibrates over his palm and he enjoys it, knowing how much you need him for your own comfort. If there's anything that makes Jing Yuan greedy, it's him always wanting you to need him — it makes him feel needed too.
“Not yet. Don’t run from it. Let me see how good you’re feeling,” he barks the order with his own desperation.
He doesn’t squeeze your neck, but you have a hunch he’ll keep you cock-denied for hours if you don't start moving. So with hesitation, you begin with small grinds at first. Rolling a circle with your hips, getting used to sitting on it.
“There you are,” he praises. “Can you feel how deep I go?”
You nod. Your hand goes over your belly, as if you could feel him inside if you were to press your hand hard enough — maybe even see.
“I’m so full of you,” you mewl like it’s both a curse and blessing, your tone poisoned with sensations.
For a scary second, you worry he might finally break his restraint, judging by the wild look your confession provokes. His grip on your hip tightness.
Because you are right where you belong. With him, safe, taken care of, his — in his individual way. He wonders if maybe this sort of game should become your anniversary holiday, as he’ll definitely yearn to repeat it.
He nearly growls when your pussy flutters around him. This is when he decides to start moving your body, a bit mean as he’s at the homestretch for making you both finish. You scratch at his stomach for nothing.
“W-what’s wrong?” he asks you to tease you sternly, even if his voice is long gone even. “You have taken me before many times, haven’t you? Your body remembers what to welcome inside.”
He directs his yellow gaze to be at where his cock disappears into you — glistening with your fresh wetness and creamy with the previous excess. He has to control himself to avoid coming right there, cursing everything on Luofu for bestowing this image on him. Your hole greedily sucks him in, and your folds part for him with every thrust.
“You're splitting me, how can I even…” you whisper out. He's started moving faster, clearly motivated, and you think you might be gone after this.
“Because you were meant for me.”
Something snaps in you at those words said most earnestly, rewiring your brain and erasing any doubt. You do want to be his, so you start to ride him on your own, going back at him with your own greed. Any previous exhaustion from running is forgotten.
You don’t even register the moment he lets go of your hips so you can satiate what you need, only humping his hips to help you meet sooner. His hands move to fondle your jiggling body all over — your hips, your ass, your thighs, your breasts…
Jing Yuan stops at the last part, tugging on your nipples a bit, until you’re crying for nth time ever since you started this session.
“Please, oh, Jing Yuan…!”
“Yes? You need me to claim you properly?” he asks sharply. “You’re going to break so hard on me, aren’t you? But then I’ll be there to hold you through it—”
You nod desperately. You keep tightening and tightening, and he’s pulsing and hard in your cunt, your orgasms so close. He's still careful with his thrusts, remembering your sensitivity, but they are more fervent nonetheless.
“Touch yourself, in the same way I tend to touch you,” he orders. It's the least help he can give you, as well the satisfaction for him, of seeing you expose yourself for him.
You’re elated you’re finally allowed the relief that you’ve been starved of for what feels like hours. He’d have never denied you, yet he also makes sure that your bliss comes in the most crashing way. Taking you high into the desperation so your bliss comes with nothing but thoughts about him.
Your hand goes between your legs and your fingers fumble to rub your clit, enacting the way he’d do it so you can come almost as hard as he makes you. Grinding your bud into different directions, to then press down in the middle, and you imagine him doing it instead — the only thing missing is a thick glob of spit he’d put on you when eating you out.
Your hand accidentally slips down as you literally shake, hitting his stomach; you quickly put your fingers back on yourself, feeling so good.
“JingYuanJingYuanJingYuanJing-” You are right at the edge. “How I need you so badly.”
He releases your throat in exchange for finally pulling you down onto his chest, the one fluttering with some kind of heady emotion. He truly shall never let you go. “Let me take care of you.”
You release a sigh you’ve been holding, ecstatic he’s holding you through something so enormous. He takes control over your orgasm, making sure to grind his pelvis and its hair into your clit, as he allows himself to go at a proper speed for the last few moments. Clutching your waist as if you might leave otherwise.
“You’ve been… you’ve been doing that the entire time…” you confess into his chest, nuzzling into his grey hair. Your legs tremble over his.
His heart races at your words, and he quickly kisses the top of your head as if he’ll never get a chance to do it again, overfed with love.
“And I’ll never stop doing so, that’s a promise—” he rambles right as he’s about to come with you, “there won’t be any harm I’ll ever allow to fall upon you…!”
With a few more rocks, you finish hard, squeezing his cock madly with your pussy, barely seeing through your tears. Even with your ears ringing, you still catch his gasps and loud moans as he fills you up with his seed, the orgasm finally slipped from the way your walls twitch and he has no control left. Jing Yuan has never been ashamed of being vocal in bed, but you don’t think you’ve ever heard this type of ripple from him before.
“Never…” he extends his previous comment, fucking his cum right into you, even as you claw at his shoulders and sob.
You don’t remember much after, other than how your fuddled body felt. He takes you in all kind of positions as long as he can see your face, pulling out one orgasm after another and then another, filling you over and over — only making sure you get fed water every few minutes. Against the wall, on your back again, on the floor when you manage to escape him and your bed once, with your ass hanging over the edge of the mattress.
When he finally pulls out with a shudder, barely holding your shaking body, he’s still not done. Your pussy is all battered with his cum, making him proud… but he doesn’t want it to go to waste. Some kind of ritual to end this day that has turned evening, ensuring you’ll never forget it, bonding you forever to him.
You're meekly tugging at his hair, as his tongue works on your overstimulated hole. “Yuan, give it a break…” you heave, thinking you’ll soon pass out; on top of finding him shameless.
He looks up at you, groaning at the taste of the way you both combined like true two lovers. Usually, he’d have chosen a lazy nap by this time, but today, he needs to have you until he breached your limits, fully exhausting his chance to be care-giving for his own joy. “You can take it. Let me show you how much you mean to me.”
You can barely finish at this point, have never been more exhausted, but when you do, he finally lets you go, suspecting you and your poor body would have tapped out on him just few seconds after.
He’s even more tender afterwards, cradling your bruised and sore form, even as his own is a bit jelly, as possible as it is for someone with his stamina — you tend to have that effect on him. He wraps you snugly into a blanket; you're nestling on his chest, warm in this cocoon before he’ll have to reluctantly pull away to bathe you, inhaling his citrus cologne lingering on his moist skin.
“You did well. Very well, like a champion,” he chuckles a little. “I hope being treated carefully has been nothing but pleasant, as it was for me.”
Your tears dried up, yet your thoughts still drift to be about him and his warmth only. When you asked him to chase you, this was never what you meant or expected… perhaps, you bargained for something even better. Who else can take you apart to mend you back into something even more secure?
“I love you,” is the only answer you manage to mumble into his chest, your eyes closing, though it says enough for him and makes his heart warm. You expect to wake up soon, in a bathtub, and when you do, you hope to say it one more time.
“… I love you too.” It comes more naturally for him — more than it used to be in the earlier days. He says that into your hair as he kisses your head. “Want a goodnight kiss too?”
You nod. So he grants you your wish, enveloping your lips with nothing but goodness, as you finally sink into slumber.
You know you’ll be knocked out for hours, sore even after you wake up. But Jing Yuan also will be there in the morning. Feeding you breakfast, carrying you when you can’t walk yet. Getting only more occasion to tend to you…
…and you’ll be there, watching it with adoring eyes and soaring heart.
Many centuries passed for Jing Yuan, he made many mistakes and felt many regrets, yet having you might be the most kindness he has ever received.

Three of Ryland’s students enter the teacher’s lounge, their focus set on Ryland, they notice their science teacher smiling at his phone.
“Mr Grace, are you okay?” Student 1 asks, leaning against the table. Ryland stiffens slightly, clearing his throat before stammering a response, “Y-yeah! Of course I am. Why wouldn’t I be?”
“Because you’re blushing at your phone” Student 2 points out, crossing their arms, “It’s giving loverboy energy”
“It is not giving...” Ryland scoffs, trying to deflect their attention, “You’re seeing things. I’m fine. Anyway, what do you need?” Trying to look professional, he quickly sets the phone down on the desk to face them, forgetting to lock the screen.
That proves to be a mistake. Student 3 peeks down at the display, gasps in mock horror, and immediately points a finger at it. “No way. Mr Grace, please tell me you didn’t just send her a picture of Pluto”
“Hey! Leave Pluto out of this” Ryland says, flustered but defensively, “Pluto is beautiful!”
Student 1 squints closer at the screen, reading the text out loud, “Wait, did you actually caption it 'my love for you'?! Oh my god, this is so cringe!”
“No, you did not!” Student 2 chimes in, laughing. “You need to up your rizz, Mr Grace”
Face turning completely red, Ryland snatches the phone off the desk and shoves it into his pocket, “Okay, first of all, it is not cringe. It’s Sputnik Planitia! It’s literally a heart-shaped glacier! It’s peak romance! Second of all, my ‘rizz’ as you call it, is doing just fine, thank you very much”
Student 3 giggles, adjusting their backpack. “If she doesn’t block you for that, she’s it”
Ryland cannot help but laugh, rolling his eyes as he finally steers them back to actual schoolwork. “Okay, that is enough commentary on my text game. Do you actually have a question about the homework, or are you just here to violate my privacy?”
“Fine, fine” Student 1 sighs, “We just wanted to know if the assignment is due on Friday or Monday”
“Monday! It's due Monday” Ryland answers, shooing them toward the door with a playful wave of his hand, “Go study and leave my love life alone!”
The students laugh as they finally walk out of the lounge. Left in the quiet room once more, Ryland takes out his phone, and unlocks his phone to open your chat to send a follow-up text.
Ryland: Baby, sending a picture of a heart-shaped glacier with the caption "my love for you" isn’t cringe, right?
You: Lmao did your students look at your phone?
You: To answer your question, it is cringe, and also sort of cute. But hey, I knew what I was signing up for when I agreed to date you
Ryland: HEY!
You: I love you too, Mr Grace. Even if your love is filled with nitrogen ice

“‘high value woman’ but your new man’s a misogynist?!”
ryomen sukuna’s time of irritation is approximately 9:17 PM.
toru gojo’s bedroom floor is velvet carpet with half-empty beer bottles rotting on the rug. his center table is littered with poker cards & sato’s candy wrappers, and geto suguru & sato gojo are avoiding eye contact so they don’t burst out in laughter as sukuna glares daggers at toru’s screen.
toru’s hands shake under sukuna’s glare but he holds the phone steady. the instagram post on screen is a slap to sukuna’s face.
HOT NEW CAMPUS COUPLE : FOOTBALL CAPTAIN NAOYA ZENIN & Y/N L/N !
and the photo is you. swollen lips & pretty gaze & a dress so short it makes sukuna’s jaw ache—but not as much as naoya’s arm around you does. beside you toji’s cousin naoya zenin is there, grin cocky, eyes glinting in the camera light and arm around your waist because his fugly ass doesn’t know you like to be held around the hips instead. sukuna’s jaw ticks.
“i’m gonna get her back.”
sato, suguru and toru all glance towards each other. they know what that voice means. there’s no talking him out of it.
but toru lowers his phone, tries regardless. “are you sure? y/n’s always been strong headed. she might hate you even more if—“
sukuna grabs his crotch aggressively. “keep talking and i’ll jizz on your face.”
toru squeaks. sukuna continues. “i know my own girl. know she’s a fucking brat, doing this shit to get on my nerves,” he growls. “she’s bored. testing me. probably doing this shit to see if i’ll show up at practice ‘n break his jaw for touching her.”
suguru is biting back a grin. “calling her your girl when she broke up with you last week? and the week before that?”
sukuna takes a swig of his beer but his jaw is ticking behind the can. “exactly. she knows where home is.”
sato’s grin is clumsy. “i dunno, man. seems like she’s got a new address,” he elbows suguru’s side. “naoya’s pants, wellesley street east.”
“M-4-Y, 1-H-5,” suguru snickers.
“glad you two have the energy to joke,” sukuna sets down his beer with a thud. “means you’ll have energy to help me out tomorrow night.
tomorrow? tomorrow can only mean one thing.
naoya zenin’s one million snap score party. and also, the party that the college football team throws every year before the start of a new season. the party that sukuna hasn’t been to since he quit the role of captain. the party where sukuna first found you drunk & dizzy in an alley just out back, perfume strong & heels clicky, stumbling into his chest with a clumsy grin & flushed cheeks as he held your hips against him to keep you from falling. you reeked of vodka & you kept slurring his name & ryomen sukuna thought you were the prettiest thing he’d ever seen.
and now his pretty thing is somewhere curled into naoya’s side, and the thought makes sukuna’s throat itch.
suguru cocks his head. “so i’m guessing you have a plan?”
sukuna chugs his beer. “you know the plan.”
they do—they all do. sato is already grinning. suguru is shaking his head. toru is watching the fratboys with worried eyes.
sato, suguru and sukuna’s lips curl.
the plan?

at naoya zenin’s one million snapscore party, the air is heavy with the smell of drunken bodies / athlete sweat / something alcoholic dripping off a countertop. geto’s piercings glimmer in the evening dim. ryomen sukuna has his jaw tight. and sato gojo is already drunk and somewhere dancing, legworking with ease as rema’s azaman blares through the speakers.
sukuna and suguru are still scanning the scene when naoya saunters up to them.
naoya zenin is badly dyed hair, bright green eyes and a cocky lilt to his shoulders. he’s got the team’s varsity jacket around him—GO PANDAS!—and a grin too cruel to be kind. he raises his hands in faux welcome.
“suguru, sukuna,” naoya smiles. “didn’t think you’d make it.”
sukuna eyes him. “congratulations on your snapscore.”
“and my new position as captain,” naoya bites so hard his teeth show. “how’s retirement treating you, ryomen? enjoying life off the pitch?”
suguru slings an arm around sukuna, quick to come to his defence. “he’s doing great, thank you. how about you, captain? have you found confidence in your buck teeth?”
naoya’s smile dissolves.
“nice engagement bait,” naoya recovers. he’s grinning again but his lips only stretch, teeth hidden. “you always did bite like a bitch, suguru.”
“i try.”
“enjoy the booze,” naoya lets out a jagged breath, turning away. “try not to cry in your cups too much.”
sukuna has his arms crossed over his chest, suguru’s arm still slung around him. but he’s not watching naoya walk away. his eyes have drifted to you.
you across the party and perched on a seat at the bar, a glass of something pink in your hands and a dress so short he can trace the swell of your ass. and you’re laughing—oh god, you’re laughing, tucking hair behind your ear with flushed cheeks and a carefree smile. sukuna’s mouth dries. god, you’re so pretty. you’re always so pretty, and sukuna wants to tell you that; wants to curl up beside you and wipe away the red dribbling down your chin and maybe tug your dress down over your ass. you’d swat at him and tell him he’s ruining your outfit. and then you’d kiss him because you like when he gets territorial anyways.
you laugh again, and ryomen sukuna is already moving.
that is, until naoya curls up behind you.
sukuna stops in his tracks. naoya snakes an arm around your waist from behind—your waist again, not your hips, fucking idiot—and sukuna’s jaw goes slack. he watches naoya press his parched, un-vaselined lips to your shoulder blades, and he doesn’t miss the slight tense of your shoulders before you ease into his chest.
sukuna’s jaw ticks. “suguru.”
“hm?”
“get sato. it’s time.”
suguru grins. “yes, boss.”
suguru disappears into the crowd. sukuna’s eyes shift back to you, back to naoya, back to the way his hands slide up your side and the way he whispers something in your ear. you laugh again and sukuna’s jaw twitches, because the sound itself comes out strained.
you’re uncomfortable. and he’d be a fool to miss it.
suguru reappears with sato in tow.
sato is drunk. swaying. red-bruised lips & booze in his breath. his cheeks are flushed pink & his hair sweat-sticky and he’s slung over suguru’s back like his life depends on it. he nuzzles into suguru’s neck. “mmh—you called?”
sukuna’s eyes are still on you. he nods towards the bar, “you see naoya?”
sato squints. “so ugly,”
“he’s got his hands on my girl.”
sato frowns. “that won’t do.”
“yeah,” sukuna murmurs, lifting a cup of punch off a passing tray. suguru is wiping rum off sato’s lip. sukuna passes the cup to sato. “you remember the plan?”
sato gives a drunken nod. and then he’s off.
the plan is simple: red punch, ugly naoya, combination. sato gojo is supposed to be a ninja, an image of stealth and diligence. instead he’s a wobbly drunken mess, giggling boyishly as he stumbles towards the bar.
he’s so close, sukuna’s eyes narrow. just a few more steps and then naoya will be drenched—
but sato trips. and as he falls, he pulls naoya’s pants down with him.
the situation is a whole mess.
punch everywhere. sticky on naoya’s shocked face, on sato’s fallen figure, on the party’s hardwood floor. and everyone is watching—staring—at naoya zenin covered in punch, pants on the floor. those boxers—is that undertale?
naoya’s face is blood drenched. “you drunken fucking idiot—”
“m’sorry,” sato cries, face down, hands still gripping naoya’s pants. “was tryna—hic—spill the punch, hnghh—suguru—“
“get the fuck off me!” naoya kicks at him, pants rippling around his ankles. someone is pulling out their phone to record. another is already recording. everyone’s laughing, including you, and even ryomen sukuna is struggling to bite back the chuckle on his lips.
naoya scrambles out of the party, shuffling out in his sans undertale boxers with his pants around his feet. suguru has already made his way to sato’s side.
sato’s eyes are teary, and his forehead is bruised red from naoya’s kick. suguru cups his face, brows knit. “hey man. you alright?”
sato groans. “i spilled the punch and the pants.”
“mhm,” geto snorts, smushing sato’s cheeks between his palms. “good job, buddy.”
“i did good?”
“so good,” geto smiles down at him. “come on, up you go.”
suguru helps sato up to his feet. sukuna is already moving.
towards you, you at the bar with your palm over your mouth to muffle your laugh as you watch naoya flee into the night. sukuna steps into your space. your eyes are still on the door before you slowly, slowly, turn your head around to him.
your pupils are blown. cheeks flushed and chest heaving from the alcohol, and your eyes focus for a minute before you grin.
“aww, look,” you beam. “if it isn’t my ex-boyfriend.”
sukuna shouldn’t take advantage.
he knows if you were sober, it’d be a different story. he knows you’d kick and hit at him, maybe snarl about his audacity to show his face around you. but you’re too many drinks too deep and as drunk and dizzy as the day he met you in that alleyway, so instead of kicking at him you lean forward to cup his cheeks.
sukuna tilts his head to kiss your palm. “Hi, baby. you’re drunk.”
“noo,” you slur. “i’m tipsy.”
“mhm,” sukuna grunts, stepping forward to slide his arms around your hips before you can lean off the chair. he tugs your dress down over your ass, then strokes your thigh. “third glass?”
“so close!” you squeeze his neck happily. “i’m on my sixth.”
sukuna hugs you back. but his face is scowling.
naoya zenin—that fucking idiot. sukuna knows your limit is four. he knows that any more than that and you’ll be sick for days, groggy and weak and unable to get out of bed. he squeezes your hips. “s’too much, sweetheart.”
“i know,” you pout into his neck. “i couldn’t resist.”
oh, his poor girl. sukuna kisses your hair. just once—just because he missed the warmth of your skin—but then he does it again and again and you giggle into his chest. fuck. he’s missed the sound bad.
“i’m sorry.”
sukuna’s heart stops. “what?”
“for going past my limit.”
sukuna can feel you pouting in his neck. he sighs, because of course that’s what you meant. not that you were sorry for leaving him or whatever his delusions had him hearing in that moment. after all, he should be the one apologizing anyway. right?
“you’re okay,” he hugs you closer, pressing your head into his chest. god, you’re gonna be so sick tomorrow; and the day after, and the day after. “i’m not mad, pretty. don’t apologize.”
you nod against him. “are you gonna take care of me?”
sukuna wishes drunk you didn’t talk so much.
because it hurts to have to say no, no but i want to, no but i would if i knew you wouldn’t hate me for it when you’re sober, so he doesn’t say it at all. instead he traces circles on your hips. “gimme your phone.”
you rest your chin on his chest and beam up at him drunkenly instead.
sukuna lets out a sigh, shifting just enough to reach for your purse without jerking you off his chest. he slips your phone into his palm and tries for the passcode. it unlocks in one go. the passcode is still his birthday, and sukuna sighs again.
“i’m gonna call shoko,” he murmurs into your ear. “she’ll take care of you, yeah?”
he could take care of you too, you know. if you’d let him. but you wouldn’t, so he bites his lip.
“shoko?” you coo into his neck. “i love shoko.”
“i know,” sukuna squeezes your thigh. “i know you do.”
TORU’S REMARK: I HAVE A BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS…
EX-BOYFRIEND TACTICS #2: GO BIG OR GO HOME !
taught by: geto suguru
“like the great oikawa tooru said, if you’re gonna hit it? hit it until it breaks.”
ΣΧ
ryomen sukuna is itch itch itching.
itching to know if you’re okay. itching to know if shoko—or, ugh, naoya—let you have those crackers you like to help you settle your stomach, kept your room slightly warm, and for christ’s sake, kept you away from the advil. you love to reach for them after a night of drinking. sukuna knows it only makes your headaches worse.
you haven’t posted on instagram in days.
not that he should know since you have him blocked. but luckily your account is public and sato’s allowed him to log in on his fake instagram hair page. SlayedBySato. hit them up on IG.
sukuna is lying on the couch, nose buried in a cushion. he watches your highlights with bleary eyes. in the one he’s viewing, you’re in a tight black dress, red and blue hues lighting up your face. you’re dancing the night away, cheeks flushed, lashes fluttering. his pretty party girl. god.
“look at my girl,” he mumbles into the pillow. “so fucking hot. i’ll slap the shit out of naoya zenin.”
geto laughs. “shouldn’t have let her get away, then.”
on the floor, sato has his head in suguru’s lap, pouting as geto presses an iced cloth to his forehead. he flinches. “sugu, how much longer?”
“shh,” geto hisses, even though the swelling went down ages ago.
sukuna rolls so his body lays upright, setting his phone down on his chest. “it’s not enough.” he glares at the ceiling. “that stunt with his boxers? did nothing but make a bunch of people laugh.”
suguru and sato look at each other. geto’s voice goes low.
“what are you saying?”
“i’m saying he’s a fraud and i want everyone to fucking know it.” sukuna sits up, tossing his phone unto the coffee table. “he’s still captain of the football team. but i have a video that could change that.”
“the season’s first game, naoya’s first official game as captain…” sato thinks. “are you saying you wanna pull something?”
“i’m thinking of playing it in the locker room TV. make the other boys lose respect for him.”
sato and suguru look at each other again.
“boring.” sato says.
“huh?”
“toru has access to the AV booth,” a slow grin curls its way onto suguru’s lips. “would be a fucking shame if he and i were to mess with the feed on game day.”
sato sits up from suguru’s lap. “locker room TV? boring as fuck, man. the sukuna i know? he’d play whatever video he has in front of the whole fucking stadium.”
sukuna looks at his frat brothers. at their wicked grins and stupid pride and willingness to follow him to the ends of the earth. it’s foolish, honestly. going to such lengths to destroy naoya zenin because he dared to look twice at his girl. but he’s a stupid man, and his frat brothers are even stupider, and this is what the sigma-chi brotherhood is really about.
sukuna’s lip twitches. “i fucking love you guys.”
“we know,” suguru says. “and don’t ever say that shit again.”
# GAME DAY !
LET’S GO PANDAS !
the chanting in the stadium sounds more like a roar.
the air is electric—buzzing, vibrating. cheerleaders on the sidelines with cheeks smeared in blue & red paint. there’s the scent of hot dogs & fried food grilling. a crowd in jerseys with flags in their hands. in the kaisen campus stadium, the midsummer air is thick with anticipation. it’s game day.
sukuna sucks the air into his lungs. he hasn’t been to the stadium in a minute.
sato has run off to get some hot dogs. suguru and toru should already be in the AV room. the pitch has no football players but marching band members instead, drums and trombones blaring music across the grass. sukuna should go over to his and sato’s seats. instead he’s on the stairs, staring down at you.
is it fair for you to look this happy with him away from you?
he shakes the thought away. he always wants you to be happy—he thinks. but happiness with naoya? naoya zenin? he’s not quite sure about that. actually, he is. sukuna knows he’s fucking furious. he knows he doesn’t like the fact that you have naoya’s number on your back, or the fact that you’re jumping and cheering his name when the players haven’t even walked out yet. his jaw ticks. something ugly curls in his throat. he swallows it away.
he stares a little longer. watches your skirt swish around your thighs, watches your arms wave in the air, watches your hips sway to the music. you’ve clearly recovered and your dancing is out of tune as always, and sukuna bites back a smile.
he’s still smiling when you look up at him.
his face falls.
your head lifts towards him, and he doesn’t miss the way your body tenses. your arms drop to your sides. your palms curl into fists.
uh oh.
you look away, pausing for a moment. and then you trudge between bodies and make your way over to what sukuna can only assume is the concession stand.
sukuna follows. he doesn’t give himself time to think any better of it.
——
caramel popcorn and half-burnt sugar. the concession stand smells like caramel popcorn and half-burnt sugar.
and vanilla, but not the syrupy sweet kind. it’s the kind that sukuna smells whenever he kisses that spot below your ear, or presses his lips to the dip of your waist. at the concession stand, sukuna stands behind you with his hands in his pockets, pretending he doesn’t see the frown on your face as you stand in line in front of him.
“go away.” you deadpan.
“i’m here to eat.”
“You will choke on your food and die.”
harsh.
sukuna’s used to it though. so when it’s your turn to get a donut, he slips out his wallet and drops some cash before you can even protest. the stand worker takes the excess money with a grin. you turn to sukuna with a frown.
“what are you doing?”
your tone is mean but ryomen sukuna can’t take you seriously. your hair has ribbons tangled throughout it. you look so fucking cute.
he looks you in the eyes. “let me check your temperature. feeling feverish? at all?”
you only eye him in response. “stop caring about me.”
“can’t,” he mutters. “let me check it.”
he pads closer, and you’re still glaring daggers at him, but you don’t bite his palm as it cups your face. he pats the back of his hand against your neck, then your forehead, then your chest—and then his palm’s on your cheek again.
“you had six drinks that night,” he murmurs, thumb stroking your cheek. “was so worried. don’t like when you go over your limit.”
“i’m fine,” your voice is sharp—or trying to be. “don’t touch me.”
he shifts his hand into his pocket. “okay.” he says. “i’m gonna get you back.”
that sets you off. “i’m done with you, asshole!” you stab your finger into his chest. “i’m serious—no more on and off bullshit. i’ve moved on. i’m with naoya, for fuck’s sake. you just can’t accept that cuz of your stupid little ego!”
you’re still stabbing his chest. sukuna only watches you patiently, letting you yell to your heart’s content.
“and i hate you!” you tug his collar just to shove him away again. “i’m moving on. i’m happy now. so don’t try to act like you’re still my boyfriend!”
“sorry,” he trails off. he’s still watching you poke him with half-lidded eyes.
“i like your ribbons,” he murmurs. “you look pretty.”
“ugh!”
you storm off, and sukuna bites his cheek as your ribbons swing behind you. his hand finds the spot where you hit his chest and he sighs.
ryomen sukuna needs to get you back. and the sooner he does? the better.
———-
sato gojo has five bomboclat hotdogs in his lap.
how humongous! and worst of all, he refuses to share them with sukuna, who left his own food at the concession stand while his mind fixated on your face. you looked so pretty yelling at him. fuck. has he gone mad?
he shakes the thought away. he has his phone in his hands, facetime call with suguru on screen. toru gojo is setting up a monitor in the background with shaky hands. suguru has his phone at a poor angle and he’s humming into its mic with glee.
sato hooks his mustard-sticky chin over sukuna’s shoulder. “yo, sugu.” he says to the call.
“yo,”
“i have five hotdogs,” sato says humbly. “i’m saving a quarter for you.”
“love your generosity.”
“thank you, brother.”
sukuna shoves sato’s face away, ignoring the pout on his face as he rubs his still-bruised forehead. “suguru. how’s the prep going?”
“we’re all good here,” suguru says, turning the call camera to face toru and the set-up. “toru, you’re on video. say hi.”
“uh—hi!”
“hey, twin!” sato’s chin is back on sukuna’s shoulder. he frowns. “i didn’t save you any hotdogs.”
“that’s okay,” toru pushes up his glasses. “i don’t like hotdogs much anyways.”
suguru laughs behind the camera. “aww. i’ll get you a hotdog, buddy.”
“guys, focus.” sukuna pinches his nose. “the footage. is it ready?”
“yup,” suguru pops the p. just waiting for your signal.”
down on the pitch, the teams are lively.
the stadium is roaring. confetti everywhere, cheers and screams from fangirls and fanboys alike. the campus team jogs out in high spirits. and naoya zenin is there, golden boy of the season, arms in the air and waving like he’s the best thing since sliced bread. sukuna tries not to roll his eyes.
it’s a new season, and this one begins with a speech.
and who else to deliver it but the new captain, naoya? he has his helmet in his arm, grin wide, eyes gleaming. he stands on the podium with a mic to his mouth, and then he clears his throat.
his voice bellows. “GO PANDAS!”
the crowd roars. “go pandas!” sato cheers along. sukuna smacks his head.
“it is my honor, as the new captain of the football team, to welcome you all to the new season. kaisen university has suffered many losses. but this year, under my lead, i swear to you all—victory!”
the crowd roars again. sato is smart enough to not get caught up in the high spirits this time.
naoya raises a hand to calm the crowd. “but first off, i want to say a thank you to our alumni, sponsors, team—“
suguru turns the phone camera to himself, grinning. “i think this is the time?”
“your thinking is correct.”
“hit it, toru.”
toru fumbles with the control panel. he plugs in a mic, and suguru brings his mouth to the head.
“hey naoya,”
suguru’s voice crackles through the stadium speakers. the crowd stills. the football team on the grass is frozen in confusion.
“the alumni, sponsors, team you’re talking about,” you can hear the smile in suguru’s voice. “is it these ones?”
toru hits a button.
the big screen flickers.
the static shifts to a video. it’s one of those out of focus, wobbly snapchat ones, captioned ‘this guy’ with a bunch of laughing emojis. someone says something in the background. naoya scoffs.
“alumni? sponsors? they’re all a bunch of old has-beens with heart conditions,” he spits. “lousy fuckers with too much money. yet they can’t even buy us a trophy. idiots.”
but the video doesn’t end there. naoya is talking while he changes out of his uniform, focused on the locker in front of him. “and this shitty team,“ he bites. “dumb fuckers who would need help to wipe their asses. can’t follow instructions for shit. i see why sukuna fucking left.”
the video ends. all that’s left is the grey replay button on the screen. suguru shifts back away from the mic, holding his phone to his face. “holy shit,” he says into the facetime call. “we fucking did that.”
“yeah,” sukuna says. “we did.”
but he’s distracted. naoya is arguing with someone on field but sukuna doesn’t care to see what that’s about. instead his eyes are on you down near the pitch, your hands gripping the stands. he can’t tell if you’re confused, distraught, happy, sad. it’s fucking killing him. he needs to see your face.
sato climbs unto his chair. he cups his hands around his mouth. “GET HIM OFF THE FIELD!”
sukuna’s eyes widen in alarm, but others are already joining in. OFF-THE-FIELD! OFF-THE-FIELD! GET NA-O-YA OFF-THE-FIELD!”
on the pitch, naoya’s face flushes in embarrassment. “you sorry sacks of shit! do you fucking know who i am?!”
they’ll never know, because he never has the chance to tell. security guards are escorting him away before he even knows it.
sukuna’s eyes flit down the bleachers. back down to you. he finds you hopping at your seat, ribbons swishing as you chant along with the crowd.
OFF-THE-FIELD! OFF-THE-FIELD!
sukuna’s lip twitches. get him off the field.
———
“OFF-THE-FIELD! OFF-THE-FIELD!”
the chanting of the stadium is still buzzing in sukuna’s ears.
toru gojo left early, body aching with anxiety and in dire need of a nap. sukuna’s decided it’s about time to leave too—college football games aren’t really his thing anymore.
suguru and sato are geeking out over the whole thing behind him as sukuna trudges forward with his hands in his pockets. he’s half-smiling. he still can’t believe the whole scene had you chanting along and hopping eagerly in your seat. so cute. your ribbons were bouncing everywhere. so fucking cute.
“this is all your fault!”
sukuna knows that voice anywhere.
sato and suguru know it too. the smiles quickly leave their faces, brows knitting in alarm. the three quietly speed up towards the corridor, and the scene has sukuna seeing red.
“you dumb fucking whore,” naoya has you cornered against the wall. “all this shit because of you and your crazy, batshit boyfriend. ‘deal’ my fucking asshole. you see how they embarrassed me? because of you?”
sukuna’s already moving. but geto pulls him back. “listen.”
“you can’t pin this on me,” you try to keep your voice steady, but sukuna knows how your voice gets when you’re about to snap. naoya’s face is too close to yours for his liking. “you’re the one who said all that stupid shit. take some fucking responsibility.”
“responsibility?” naoya’s teeth curl. his breath is hot against your lip. “deal my fucking ass. this was your plan all along wasn’t it, stupid bitch? date me and get closer to me so you can sabotage me along with your boyfriend—”
“naoya,” your voice is dangerous. “i’m warning you, get back.”
“or what?” he spits in your face. “you’ll call your big bad boyfriend to save you? run to him like some stupid little whore—?”
you slap naoya silly.
and for a moment, sukuna’s shoulders un-tense. he’s been holding his breath the entire time, fingers curled into the wall, suguru’s hand on his chest stopping him from charging forward. but fuck, he’s proud. that’s his fucking girl. fuck. why’d he have to go and lose you?
but he can’t relax for long.
“you fucking bitch!”
naoya shoves you against the wall and you thud against it. sukuna doesn’t have to pry geto’s hand away—they’re already charging in.
naoya’s eyes widen as soon as he sees the trio. suguru swings. sato punches. but naoya dodges both, shoulder bumping into them as he slips between the two. he should be stopped by sukuna—but sukuna charges straight to your side, tugging you to his chest, breath heaving. naoya zenin escapes.
suguru and sato’s eyes flit towards the exit. their breathing is sharp, ragged. their eyes drift back to you in alarm. fuck. you’re more important.
sukuna hugs you to his chest, tight. his hand presses your head under his chin. he wants to pretend you’re not fucking shaking in his arms, but god you are, god—you are.
“you’re okay, baby,” he lies. your hand is fisting his collar like you want to pull him closer—or maybe push him away. “you’re okay. i’ve got you, you’re okay.”
you squeeze his collar. “ryo,” your voice is small, “don’t go after him.”
“i won’t baby, swear to god i won’t.”
but that’s just another lie. he presses your head further into his chest, palm heavy on your head. and then he mouths to suguru and sato:
GO. FUCKING. KILL HIM.
they don’t need to be told twice.
“ryo,” you whisper in his chest. “where are they going?”
“they’re giving us privacy,” he lies, and you’ll hate him for it tomorrow but he’ll settle for holding you today. he kisses your head. “are you hurt? hit your head? look at me.”
he can feel your lips jut out in his chest. “i’m fine.”
“i told you to look at me.”
you grumble, but oblige regardless. and god, sukuna’s heart aches. you have your chin on his chest, lashes tear rimmed, cheeks flushed and lips jut out in a stubborn pout. your eyes are glistening with wet. sukuna’s jaw aches.
naoya zenin has got to go to hell.
and he’ll send him there personally. he kisses your forehead, “gorgeous.” and then his thumbs wipe your lashes. “i’m gonna check if you’re concussed. do you have a headache?”
“this is so stupid,” you grumble. “i’m not concussed. and you know it.”
sukuna ignores you, cups your face in his palms. “what day of the week is it?”
“monday.” you grumble.
“gonna say some numbers, say them back to me in reverse,” he strokes your cheek. “four-two-four-two-five-six-four.”
you say them back perfectly. sukuna kisses your forehead. “good job baby,” he murmurs. “smart girl. does anything hurt?”
“no.”
“don’t lie to me.”
you rest the side of your face on his chest, pausing for a moment. then you raise a hand to grip his bicep. “my head hurts. just a little.”
“anything else?”
“i was scared,” you mutter, small. “i was so scared, ryo.”
naoya zenin has got to go to hell.
it’s the second time sukuna thinks that, but he shakes the thought away. he squeezes your hips. tilts your chin so you’re looking up at his face. your lashes are wet & your lips are wobbly & ryomen sukuna thinks you are grace.
“shh,” his thumb rubs your bottom lip. “you’re safe. you’re always safe with me.”
“i know,” your voice croaks as you nod.
“fuck, baby,” he murmurs as he leans down to kiss your eyelids, nose, cheek, forehead. he presses his lips to the corner of your mouth. and then he finds your lips, tongue licking your mouth before he kisses you deep and slow.
“you’re so fucking beautiful,” he murmurs between your lips. “m’gonna kill naoya.”
“noo,” you whine, tugging his collar. “i told you not to do that.”
sukuna kisses his teeth, stepping back so he can hoist you up into his arms. his hands dip beneath your thighs to haul you up, and now you’re peering down at him through those sad, wet lashes. he kisses the pout off your lips. squeezes your thighs with his big hands. opens his mouth to say—
“i knocked that sucker out the park!”
sato and geto saunter back into the corridor, grins wicked, steps light. their knuckles are bloody and their jaws are bruised and their smiles are so bright they’re practically gleaming.
you turn to look at them. sukuna grabs the back of your head and pushes you into his shoulder. you pout into his neck as he keeps his palm heavy on your head.
sato is shadowboxing. “right hook—left hook—“ he punches the air. “clean hit to the jaw. taught the bloody wanker a good fucking lesson.” he fakes a british accent.
suguru nods, hands in his pockets & smile smug. “it was a good punch.”
“right?!”
sukuna’s lip tugs. he clicks his tongue as sato fakes punches at suguru, suguru dodging them with lazy laughter. sukuna clears his throat. sato and suguru perk up.
“take her to the nurse,” his voice is low. “make sure she doesn’t have a concussion.”
suguru steps forward and sukuna gently moves you into his arms. you frown up at suguru. “i’m not concussed.”
geto only chuckles, shifting your thigh over his arm to lift you better. “i don’t think so either. but your boyfriend runs a strict program, doesn’t he?”
“ex-boyfriend,” you bite. “and he’s not stricter than me.”
“never,” suguru smiles. “you’re the strictest.”
sukuna scoffs behind you. sato just says he likes your ribbons.
he watches the boys leave with you. sato bouncing beside geto, you still arguing in suguru’s arms. but then he thinks about naoya. thinks about how he called his girl a whore, how he had the guts to shove you against a wall instead of just taking your slap like a fucking man. his jaw locks.
his feet are already moving. but then he remembers. don’t go after him.
he’s already broken that promise, already sent sato and suguru to beat him bloody. and he trusts his frat brothers, trusts they didn’t go easy on him. but his knuckles ache. he wants to beat naoya down so fucking badly.
but he knows if he sees naoya now, it will only end in death. and sukuna won’t be the one in the deathbed.
sukuna slams his fist into the wall. “fuck!”

“i have to kill naoya zenin.”
on toji zenin’s bedroom floor, ryomen sukuna’s jaw is tight. his hands dig into his thighs and suguru sits beside him with worried eyes. toji zenin is on the edge of his bed, running a brush through a jet black lace front wig. his son, five-and-a-half year old megumi zenin, sits beside him with a beach blond color 613 bone-straight wig on his head.
megumi tugs his father’s sleeve, voice flat.
“daddy, i have a buss down.”
toji doesn’t look up from his mannequin. “looks great, kiddo.”
toji zenin is twenty-four, stubble on his chin and single-ish student dad. single-ish because megumi’s mother left him when he turned twenty-one, but now he’s engaged to a pretty rich lady who sukuna still can’t believe forgave him for his lies. whatever—that’s a story for another day. even though toji’s girl is rich, he still insists on picking up odd jobs here and there to support him and meg rather than relying on her money. he’s currently working as a wig influencer for ISEEHAIR®.
on sukuna’s right, suguru has his hair in twin braids—courtesy of megumi zenin—and the same kind of ribbons you wore on game day—courtesy of SlayedBySato. he pats sukuna’s shoulder. “hey man, it’s okay. she’s okay.”
“you don’t fucking know that,” sukuna spits. “you don’t know it that bastard is still around her. i should’ve fucking killed him. slammed his skull into the wall back in the stadium.”
megumi blinks, gaze flat. he tugs his father’s sleeve. “daddy, is uncle kuna okay?”
“he’s in love,” toji answers, reaching for the hot comb. “makes you stupid.”
megumi nods, blond wisps of hair sticking to his cheek. then he stares at uncle sukuna for a bit longer before sliding his chubby body off the bed. “i’m gonna lay my edges.”
megumi zenin pads away.
suguru smiles after him. but then his smile dissolves, and he shifts his gaze back to sukuna. sukuna’s jaw is still tight, eyes glaring daggers at toji’s bedroom floor, and suguru elbows his side. “relax, man. brooding’s not gonna fix anything.”
“suguru’s right,” toji grumbles. “sato and suguru already beat him down. that didn’t make you feel better, did it?”
sukuna squints.
“you want your girl back? stop playing her damn games,” toji continues. “show her she can’t just keep playing around. you’ve embarrassed naoya, sabotaged him. all you’ve done is play along with her bratty lil’ antics.”
megumi’s voice comes from the other room. “daddy, can you help me lay my edges?”
“in a minute, kid.” toji doesn’t look up from the mannequin. “you want your girl? beat her at her own fucking game.”
sukuna grits his teeth. suguru slings an arm around him, braids swinging. “there’s a party for the football team tonight,” he says. “pretty sure y/n will be there again.”
sukuna swallows. thinks about it. and then the door swings open.
in comes sato gojo with megumi zenin in his arms. the five year old has wig edges laid, hair on fleek, and there is no doubt he’s been SlayedBySato.
sato’s grin is clumsy.
“did someone say party?”
# SHOW TIME !
at the party, the bass is so loud the speakers are moving.
not a lot—just a little—but the sound is so loud that sato is pouting as suguru helps him cover his ears. geto yells at some footballer to turn the music down. it takes them too long to comply.
sukuna is on a couch trying to ignore the babe curling herself into his side.
pamela? no—pairin. hair dyed mauve & flushed pink cheeks & a pretty nice rack—not that sukuna is looking. well he did look, he’s just a man and she’s got some pretty nice tits, but it’s okay. he still thinks yours are perkier.
pairin is trailing a hand up his thigh.
“ryo,” she coos. “it’s been forever. i’ve missed you.”
it has been forever. ryomen sukuna hasn’t slept with pairin, or any other girl for that matter, since he started dating you. yes you’ve broken up and gotten back together a hundred times, and technically when you’re broken up he’s a free man, but sukuna knows if he dared to touch another woman even when you’re not with him he’d never hear the end of it. so he’s always been patient. always waited.
which is why it’s not fucking fair for you to let naoya curl up behind you right now.
his eyes narrow. ryomen sukuna watches as naoya slips behind you at the bar, arm around your waist once again. fucking idiot. sukuna doesn’t even care about his arm on your waist instead of your hips anymore. once he gets his hands on naoya, he won’t even have an arm to begin with.
but sukuna doesn’t understand it.
he knows his girl. he knows you. he knows you bark more than you bite, he knows you’re bratty and stubborn and selfish and petty, and he knows men like naoya zenin are not your fucking type. he knows you would never put up with a man who would even yell at you—he found that out the hard way. so how could you let naoya touch you so casually after he dared to disrespect you?
are you really moving on?
he’s heard about it before. boundaries crumbling when people fall in love. is that what’s happening here? is naoya manipulating you? are you being pressured? can he kill him?
or do you actually—god forbid—like naoya?
sukuna scoffs. fucking hell if you do. he’ll kill naoya so you have no one to love. he’ll be damned if the man who steals your heart after him is one that doesn’t even know how to hold you right. naoya zenin will die today. ryomen sukuna will make sure of it.
“ryo,” pairin coos. when did her tits press against his chest?
she’s shifted so much that she’s practically on top of him, thigh digging into his hip. sukuna kisses his teeth. “don’t fucking call me that.”
pairin pouts, sliding a hand down his chest. “so mean. ever since you started dating that girl, you’ve become so mean to me.”
sukuna hears a laugh. it’s you, laughing at something the bartender says. another poor man who will be joining sukuna’s kill list. or maybe not, since you seem happy. you take a sip of your drink and frown when a drop lands on your chest. so cute.
pairin lifts a hand to shift his jaw back to her face. “you’re smiling.”
“yeah,” his voice is bored. “not at you.”
she frowns. “you used to be fun.”
“i used to be single.”
he still is right now, but not for long. never for long. he watches as you take another cup from the bartender. that’s drink number three. behind you naoya presses his face into your neck, and sukuna watches as you ease into him.
ryomen sukuna is blinded by rage.
he’s not quite thinking when he does it. he’s not quite thinking when he grabs pairin by the back of her neck, shoving her lips onto his. she squeaks, “mmph—!” as sukuna presses his lips against her. she tries to sneak her tongue past his lips. he keeps his mouth shut.
sukuna sees it.
he keeps his eyes open the whole time, and across the bar he watches your face lift. you’re laughing, you always are, but then your gaze drifts across the room to him.
the drink in your hand nearly drops.
you do that little thing where your chest heaves—anxious?—and your fingers curl tight around the cup in your hands. your brows furrow like you’re glaring but your lips are wobbly, oh god, they’re so wobbly—
he pushes pairin off his lap.
but it’s too late. you’re already off your chair, scrambling, and sukuna can’t see that well from this far but he knows your eyes are wet. he saw that tear slip down your cheek. he bolts for the exit but someone pulls him back by the shoulder—
“sukuna?” sato’s brows are knit. “what the fuck? what’s wrong man?”
sukuna’s chest is still heaving. his eyes are still on the door.
ryomen sukuna has lost the girl once again.

“girls like y/n? they like to keep things difficult. and your prefer it just like that, don’t you?”
ΣΧ
ryomen sukuna hasn’t left his room in days.
two weeks. it’s been two weeks since he kissed another girl and watched you leave with tears in your eyes. and sukuna’s disgusted. stomach against the mattress and head buried in a pillow. you’re pretty when you cry—you’re always pretty—but not so much when he’s the cause of your tears.
SlayedBySato is officially blocked by you on instagram. sato’s tried to come in to cheer sukuna up, but to no avail. sukuna won’t eat anything suguru cooks, or any food at all for that matter. megumi sometimes opens his door and stares at him with bored eyes before leaving. toru comes into his room to sit on the floor and read. he’s always shaky & anxious and glancing up at sukuna every five seconds when he does that, but he still comes in to offer his company anyways.
sukuna’s scrolling through his phone, eyes watching nothing in particular. he gets a notification. probably suguru offering him food. maybe just team snapchat. he ignores it. but then his phone chimes again.
[ mine🫀: OBLIGATIONS.docx ]
sukuna’s brows knit. you have him blocked. that can’t be you.
but he clicks the message anyways. and it is you, and the first thing that greets him is your profile picture. you’re smiling big into the camera, angle low & silly, and somehow you still manage to look bright and beautiful. sukuna swallows. scrolls down to your new messages.
mine🫀: i know what you did at that party was just to get my attention.
mine🫀: since u wanna be pathetic i’ll give you more opportunity to do so
mine🫀: OBLIGATIONS.docx
sukuna clicks the document. there are no greetings, no ‘to whom may be concerned’, no date or titles. just three things.

# SHOW TIME
sukuna trudges into the frathouse living room with his laptop under his arm. at the center table sato is already there, humming contentedly while playing a game of monopoly by himself. he perks up when he hears the sound of the door.
“well, well,” sato sings. “look who crawled out of my grandfather’s ass.”
“what does that even mean?”
“ignore him,” suguru hums. he steps out from the kitchen with a plate of steaming hot jollof rice in his hands. he scoops some with his spoon, blows on it, and offers a bite to sukuna. “here, try some.”
“mm,” sukuna murmurs, leaning down for a bite. it’s hot, chewy—but then sukuna frowns.
“there’s no maggi in this rice.”
geto’s face falls. “no more food for you.”
whatever. sukuna sits at the center table, setting up his laptop right over sato’s monopoly game. he ignores sato’s protests as he opens up your shopping cart. “she sent me a list.” he announces. “of stuff i have to do if i want her back.”
suguru slides in at the opposite side of the table, brows raised. “show us.”

sato blinks at the screen. “dick n’ balls,” he smiles wide. “i love your girlfriend.”
“tread lightly.”
suguru squints at the last item. “this is bad. she’s saying she wants you to confess in front of the whole school? like on game day?” his eyes lift to sukuna. “the dean might actually suspend you if we pull something. you know how much trouble i got in when they heard my voice on the speakers?”
“i had to pay him out of trouble,” sato shudders. “and it wasn’t cheap.”
sukuna frowns. if sato’s complaining? it definitely wasn’t cheap.
but sukuna only opens up your cart, taking in the items on screen. he’s not surprised when he scrolls through the items. lingerie from bordelle & agent provocateur, bags from dior and bottega vennetta, shoes, makeup—the high end kind—and then a bunch of sex toys, also unnecessarily overpriced. his lips tug when he notices a pair of lacy black panties. he already knows that’s for him.
or it could be for naoya to fuck you in, so his face falls.
sato slumps against sukuna’s shoulder. “wow. pricey stuff.”
“she likes nice things,” he mutters, double checking the items. he makes sure everything is in CAD and not USD, and then he checks out. nearly $5000 on clothing, accessories, lingerie. CIBC sends him a notification for possible fraud on his card immediately. he clicks no, this was me.
suguru whistles. “well, that’s that.” he leans back on his palms. “on to task number two?”
——
sukuna taps his pencil against the paper in front of him. “how do i spell exquisite.”
“e-s-q, u-z-t,” sato answers proudly. “all you have to do is sound out the vowels. i learned that trick back in freshman year.”
“there are no vowels in what you just spelled.”
suguru drags a palm over his face. he watches as sato strokes his chin, both he and sukuna staring at the half-empty letter with intense focus. he’s not sure whether to start with explaining to sato that this is not the spelling of exquisite, or if he should let sukuna know that ‘e’ and ‘u’ are indeed vowels.
he chooses to do neither. “sukuna, what do you need the word ‘exquisite’ for?”
“i need to tell her her ass is exquisite.”
“in her apology letter?”
“Yes.”
oh, okay. actually no—it’s not okay. suguru pinches his nose. “this is an apology letter. what does her ass have to do with this?!”
“she likes when i say nice things about her body,” sukuna mumbles, low. geto softens. that’s actually sweet.
“i’m gonna tell her i like her nipples.”
suguru snatches the letter from his hands.
he makes the mistake of letting his eyes drop to the poorly written text, and he’s reading it in his head before he can think any better of it: Hello, I am sorry. Your ass is esquizit. Come back to me. Nipples.
“jesus fucking christ,” suguru breathes.
sukuna scowls at him. “you didn’t let me finish the last sentence.”
sato hugs his knees. “i like this letter.”
suguru ignores them. he puts the letter aside, and tears out a new sheet of paper from the notepad on the table. “look, ryomen. i know you’re not good with words. and i know y/n it’s important to you. so we’re gonna help you.”
sato leans back on his palms. “yup, we are.”
“i meant i’m gonna help him,” suguru glares at sato. “tell me what’s on your mind. what you think. what you feel in your chest when you think about her. if she looked you in the eye and told you she was upset about all you’ve done, what would you say to her?”
sukuna scowls at nothing in particular, pondering. “i’d kiss her.”
“that’s what you would do,” suguru wags his pencil. “what would you say?”
sukuna thinks a bit harder. he thinks about how you look when you’re sad, how you don’t laugh, how your bottom lip juts out in that wobbly pout that makes his stomach hurt. he thinks about how you’d cuss at him before the tears fall, and then you’d grip his collar while spitting teary insults, before collapsing in his chest and letting him kiss your cheek till you quiet down. sukuna thinks very hard.
“i’d tell her i’m sorry,” he says. “and that i hate it when she cries.”
suguru nods. “go on,”
“i’d tell her i was scared,” he murmurs. “of her moving on. of her finding someone better.” he breathes. “i don’t want her to be with anyone that’s not me.”
suguru and sato stay silent.
“i don’t even care about naoya,” sukuna’s voice is tired. his palm slides over his face. “i just want her to be with me.”
“aww,” sato coos.
“shut up.”
but sukuna doesn’t shove sato away when he leans over to hug his head. sato pats sukuna’s face into his chest. “suguru,” sukuna mutters. “can you say that i miss her?”
“already did.”
suguru turns the paper around to reveal the words. sukuna squints to make out the words behind the pretty cursive.
dear y/n,
i know i've said sorry a thousand times. i know it doesn't mean much coming from me. but i mean it. i'm sorry for the party. i'm sorry for kissing someone else. i'm sorry for making you cry. i hate it when you cry, hate when i make you sad. i hate it when you look at me like you don't trust me anymore.
i was scared. scared you were moving on. scared you were finding someone better. i was scared i was losing you for good.
i don't care about naoya. i don't care about other women. i don't care about any of it. i just want you.
i want to earn you back. i want to earn your trust. i want to be the person you deserve.
i love you. i've never loved anyone else like you. i don't want to love anyone else. please give me a chance to prove it.
— sukuna
sukuna blinks at the letter. “i sound pathetic.”
“you are pathetic,” suguru sets it down. “for y/n at least.”
he is, isn’t he?
suguru taps his pencil against the table. “so, do you like it? or shall we draft a new one?”
sukuna thinks about it. sato is still patting his head.
“nah,” he says. “it’s perfect.”
SATO’S REMARK: OH WE’RE SO GETTING HER BACK
EX-BOYFRIEND TACTICS #5: HAVE YOU EVER APOLOGIZED WITH YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE ?!
taught by: nanami kento
“this is the stupidest plan i’ve ever heard.”
ΣΧ
the letter is done. the shopping cart is cleared. but the boys of sigma chi can’t rest just yet.
they do so anyway. suguru is sprawled lazily on the couch, legs spread and popcorn bucket in his hands. sato has his cheek on geto’s chest, curled up beside him. and even sukuna is leaning into the warmth, legs crossed on the floor and his head against suguru’s leg. the tv is playing something none of them truly care about.
suguru takes a bite of popcorn, teeth sticky. “how the fuck are we gonna pull off the last task?”
sato tosses a kernel into sukuna’s open mouth. “i have no idea.”
suguru pops another kernel between his lips, and then feeds a bite through sato’s open mouth on his chest. “before we even get to that—i’ve been thinking. what about that deal naoya mentioned? back in the stadium?”
sato and sukuna perk up.
sukuna’s jaw ticks again. he’s tried not to think about it. tried not to think about how naoya dared to raise his voice at you, how he dared to shove you back in his anger. he licks his canines. his chest is hot.
“i’ve been thinking about it too,” sato says. “ i have a theory.”
“uh oh.”
“don’t be mean,” sato pouts, and suguru pulls his cheek lovingly. he leans off suguru’s chest, palms still on his shoulders for balance. “my theory? y/n wants to make sukuna jealous. naoya wants him jealous too. boom. they work together and date.”
suguru nods. “but now, naoya thinks y/n is dating him so she and sukuna can work together to trash his reputation,” he muses. “and so he’s treating her badly.”
sukuna’s nails dig into his palms.
he knew you wanted him jealous—that’s obvious. but the thought of his stupid antics putting you in danger? with naoya? fuck. you’re a sharp girl. but you’re all bark and no bite. what the fuck is he supposed to do if naoya even thinks of disrespecting you again?
he speaks up. “back at the party. the one we went to after the game,” he bites his cheek. “i saw her with him again. that’s why i got mad. kissed that pamela bitch.”
“pairin.”
“i don’t give a fuck.” sukuna grumbles. “but that’s not what tripped me up. she was with naoya again—even after how he treated her.” his fingers dig into the couch. “she drags me by the ear when i raise my voice just slightly. why would she stay by naoya after all that? just to make me jealous?”
geto thinks out loud. “what if he has something on her?”
the boys go quiet.
for you to stay with someone like naoya, genuine or not? sukuna knows it must be something serious. he leans off the couch, turns to his boys.
“we need to start planning that final task.”
# SHOW TIME !
“kenny,” suguru begs. “please. we need your help.”
nanami pushes up his glasses. “immediately no.”
the theatre hall is humongous.
thousands of students fitted into velvet seats. there’s some ceremony today—what it’s about, sukuna doesn’t know—but he knows it’s the only opportunity he has to fulfill your last task. the next gameday is a week away, past the one week timeframe you specified.
sukuna also knows you’re in the crowd. he’d seen you sitting close to the front. right next to naoya.
god, you looked gorgeous. low cut top that exposes your plush breasts because you have no sense of time and place. skirt short as always, bunched up around your thighs, and lashes fluttering. bored. you looked hopelessly bored and beautiful next to naoya, and it wasn’t till shoko slipped into the seat beside you that your glossy lips smiled again. fuck. sukuna hopes he’ll get to speak to you soon.
but right now, he and the boys are trying to convince nanami to let him show up on stage in place of presenting his speech.
they’re all backstage. sigma chi treasurer nanami kento is sat at a makeshift desk, tie pin straight, expression flat as usual. “i will not allow you to take over my speech in the name of love and sacrifice. this is the stupidest plan i’ve ever heard.”
“nanaken, you’re not listening,” sato shakes his shoulders. “this is a matter of life and death—our last chance to help sukuna get his girl back.” sato pleads. “if we don’t succeed, he’ll be depressed!”
“i won’t be depressed.”
“he’ll be depressed!”
nanami only pinches his nose.
“look,” suguru starts, leaning over the table with his palms. “let’s make a deal. you let us crash your speech? sato buys you all the BL manhwa you want.”
nanami perks up. “BL?”
sato frowns. “sato?”
“exactly,” suguru says. “i know you’re tired of reading semantic error on a screen. we’ll get you all the physical copies—and whatever other BL you have on your reading list. all you have to do is let us crash your set.”
nanami thinks about it. thinks about how nice it’d be to see jang jaeyoung on a page, how he’d be able to have the story right there between his fingertips. he thinks about it. ponders hard.
and then he nods. “you’ve got yourselves a deal.”
——
each speech passes by way too fast.
well honestly, not fast enough. the audience is snoozing. they forget to clap after some speeches, and in the crowd sukuna can see you watching, bored. you have your head against shoko’s shoulder, phone in your hands. a man in a suit walks up to the stage to remind the audience of ‘etiquette’ and ‘keeping their phones away’. you roll your eyes and take a selfie with shoko, lips puckered out.
god, he misses you.
he closes the backstage curtains. suguru is waving his speech around. “you’re up next, man. you ready?”
sukuna swallows. why the fuck does he feel anxious? sukuna doesn’t do anxious. angry? horny? yes. but anxious?
he swipes the speech from suguru’s hands. “yeah. m’ready.”
———
sukuna is not ready.
but he’s not anxious either, so that’s a win. his body’s vibrating with something he can’t quite name. the audience is clapping away as the current presenter leaves.
suguru claps his back. “go.”
and go he does. he rips the velvet curtains apart and trudges his way to the podium. his hands are in his pockets and his gaze is bored and through the corner of his eyes all he can see is you you you.
you, with your brows furrowed and lips in a pout he wants to kiss off. you stare after him with big eyes, before your eyes go even bigger. he watches you facepalm.
that shouldn’t make him laugh. he sets his speech on the podium.
in the audience, shoko is nudging your shoulder. “girl. isn’t that your man?”
naoya turns to frown at her. “excuse me?”
you and shoko ignore him. “i have no idea what he’s up to.” you lie.
on the podium sukuna clears his throat. the TVs overhead are zoomed in on his face. his hair is golden-red under the lights, and sweat glistens on his skin, and sukuna takes in a deep breath.
“my name is ryomen sukuna, and i’m the previous captain of the pandas football team.”
some people whistle and cheer. others watch in silent confusion. naoya is gritting his teeth beside you and shoko is squeezing your thigh.
“i’m here to make a confession in light of recent events within our campus community,” sukuna murmurs into the mic. god, fuck geto suguru and his pretty cursive. sukuna can’t read shit.
“at the first game of the season,” sukuna clears his throat. “there was a video broadcast that interrupted the flow of the ceremony. i profusely apologize for that,” he says. “i was the one responsible.”
gasps fill the arena.
“it’s unsportsmanlike, i know.” he adjusts the mic. “whether the contents of the video are honest or not, to broadcast them during the ceremony was uncalled for and inappropriate. i had no good or honest intentions behind it.” he grits his teeth, eyes leaving the script.
“i wanted to embarrass naoya.”
the crowd is silent, and sukuna finds your eyes.
you’re looking right at him with an expresssion he can’t make out. beside you naoya is there, arm around your seat, and anger seeps into his chest. naoya has a black eye—he’ll have to thank suguru and sato for that. he’ll also have to give him a matching one on his left eye.
he continues his speech.
“naoya zenin, captain of the pandas, stole my girlfriend.” he spits into the mic. “so i chose to embarrass him publicly. that’s it. that’s my reason.”
the audience is muttering, talking amongst themselves. some people have their phone’s up, recording. some are enraged. some girls are swooning.
“y/n l/n—fuck,” he spits into the mic, gaze bleary. he’s gripping the podium with both arms now, head down and away from the cameras. “evil fucking girl,” he murmurs.
“you don’t want him, baby,” he breathes against the mic.
“come back to me.”
the theatre is silent.
and then it roars
single ladies. girlfriends. boyfriends. members of the football team who miss life under sukuna’s reign. they’re all cheering for him, loud and unrestrained. clapping as sukuna grips the podium with his eyes on the hardwood. the headlights flash on his face and he squints to look past them, eyes lifting towards the audience.
you’re not at your seat.
why?
did you miss the end of the speech? sukuna blames himself. he didn’t even have the guts to look up at you as he breathed out the last line, and now he’ll never know if you heard the very words he’s been wanting to say. sukuna almost laughs. his eyes are hot but he almost laughs.
the audience is still roaring. sukuna rips his speech off the podium and walks off the stage.

when sukuna trudges through the curtains, sato and suguru are already there.
faces flushed, chests heaving. “holy fucking shit—“ suguru pulls sukuna’s head into his arms. “you fucking did that.”
he did. so why does he feel so damn empty?
sato is practically bouncing, worming his way into the hug. “you did that!” he cheers. “did you see y/n’s face? was she cheering too—?”
“she left.”
sato and suguru freeze.
suguru pulls away first. sukuna’s face is dull, downcast—and his eyes are dark and soulless. “oh no—” suguru mutters. he holds sukuna’s face. “did you see when she left?”
“no,” he murmurs. no, he didn’t.
“fuck,” sato curses. “fucking hell, man—isn’t this low? even for her?”
suguru pulls sukuna’s head back under his chin. sukuna doesn’t resist or protest. just stares at the wood floor with empty eyes. but then a voice calls his name.
“ryomen sukuna. are you brooding?”
if god liked him, it would’ve been you. standing there in your short skirt and skimpy top and a teasing smile on your lips. mocking his misery. grinning up at him.
but instead it’s shoko ieri, brown hair under a bucket hat.
under normal circumstances, he’d be happy to see her. sukuna likes most of your friends. they’re all pretty party girls like you, a bunch of twenty-something year olds who think life is about bourbon glasses and friday mornings passed out in the backseat of someone’s car. they’re wild but they’re all nice girls, and they’re good to you so that’s fucking that.
but he doesn’t want to see your friends. sukuna wants to see you.
suguru brushes sukuna’s hair back. “shoko. to what do we owe the pleasure?”
“relax, geto. i’m not here to cause trouble,” she hums, leaning against a beam. “just here to pass across a message.”
she muses. “backstage dressing room. one-hundred two, not hundred and one,” shoko recites. “i have to leave now, but don’t be late. and sukuna,” she pauses to look at him. “no backup. just you.”
she turns away with a lilt in her steps, and the boys of sigma chi are left staring at each other in confusion. the message is clear though, and sukuna wipes his face.
room 102. got it.
# SHOW TIME !
ryomen sukuna comes in alone.
the door to room 102 pushes open with a creaak. the dressing room is racks and racks of clothing, some on the floor, some strewn across tables, and mirrors upon mirrors. the vanities still have their lights glowing orange. the room smells like rust and girl.
sukuna finds you in front of a mirror.
you’re checking yourself out, neon pink feather boa around your shoulders. on your head is a comically large sun hat, and there’s a bright green belt flung around your waist. you don’t look up when he walks in. just shift your hips in the mirror, skirt swishing around your thighs.
“you like my outfit?” you hum, still facing the mirror.
you look silly. if he was in a better mood, he’d probably smile. but instead he trudges forward and leans back against the table behind you. “yeah. looks cute.”
“hmm,” you fit your hands over your hips. “i still feel like it’s missing something.”
sukuna stays quiet.
you walk over to a bunch of boxes, pulling out all sorts of costume pieces. your tone is sing-song. “i heard your little speech.”
sukuna plays with the bracelet on his wrist. it’s not a bracelet. it’s one of your bra straps, actually, and he’d forgotten he put it on before the speech. it’s suddenly itchy against his wrist. “you liked it?”
“i thought it was cute,” you hum, inspecting a tie. you walk over to him, and sukuna spreads his legs a bit so you can slip between his thighs. you hold the tie up to him. “can you help me?”
he takes the tie from your hands. fits it over your neck quietly. he’s folding the ribbon around your neck, pretending he can’t feel your breath on his lips.
he murmurs, “i don’t understand what you’re doing, baby.”
his palm leaves your tie to cup your cheek. your gloss smudges against his palm. “what do you mean? i’m getting dressed up.”
his thumb strokes your cheek. “please don’t play dumb.”
you snuggle into his palm, humming contentedly. sukuna’s thumb still strokes your cheek. his other hand has come up squeeze your hip, then snake around it, then pull you closer into him.
“i’m sorry,” he breathes against your lips.
“for what?”
“for kissing another girl,” he murmurs. “for even looking at her. for being difficult. always giving you a reason to turn around and leave, then begging you to come back.” he cups your face.
“i love you. i’ve never loved any girl the way i love you.”
you trail a palm down his chest. “come back to me,” you repeat his speech.
“come back,” he murmurs, hands sliding up your spine. “come back to me, baby.”
you giggle as he leans closer to steal your lips. ryomen sukuna tastes like strawberry and spearmint.
Y/N’S REMARK: GUESS WHO’S BACK <3
COUPLE TACTICS #1 : DICKMEDOWN—WHO SAID THAT?!
taught by: ryomen sukuna’s cock
“there is no quote. i am a cock.”
❤︎
in ryomen sukuna’s bedroom, he has his back against the headboard and his girlfriend in his lap.
you’re half naked. clad in nothing but a lacy bra and matching black panties, giggling as you pose into his macbook camera. you lift another bra up to check it against your chest. ryomen sukuna squeezes your thigh.
“you like this one?” he murmurs behind you, reaching his hand up to grope your breast. “wasn’t in the cart. added it myself.”
“it’s so pretty,” you coo, lashes fluttering. “thank you, ryo.”
“you’re welcome, princess.”
it’s just two days after the whole speech at the theatre. ryomen sukuna watches you with bleary eyes. he leans back against the headboard, watching as you shrug off your bra to try another one he bought. he reaches up to graze his thumb over your pebbled nipple and you giggle, before sliding backwards to lean back against his chest. he squeezes your tits in his palms before kissing your cheek.
“love this set,” he murmurs against your ear. he’s twisting your nipple in one hand & the other is already sliding down over your belly, down to your lacy black panties. “so pretty on you.”
“mmh,” your thighs squeeze as his hand slips below the fabric, finding your wet, aching clit. he rubs the pad of his thumb over it in circles. kisses your cheek again when you whine.
“missed you,” he murmurs. “so bad, pretty.”
“mhm,” you breathe. you want to bite back with something sassy but ryomen sukuna is kneading your breast while his thumb fingers your clit. he slips in another finger and rolls the bud between them. your thighs squeeze around him.
“ryo,” you purr. “you’re gonna get them dirty.”
“i know,” he shushes you. “just wanna feel you.”
and feel you he does. he pushes your body up on his chest and latches his hot mouth around your nipple. “mmh—,” he groans, tongue swirling around the pebbled peak. “fuck, missed this.”
his fingers rub harder against your clit. faster, faster, until your hips arch of the bed and your thighs shake around him. he can already see slick coating your inner thighs, and your moans in his ear only make him rub harder. “fuck,” he curses. fuck fuck fuck.
your lashes go sticky with tears. your clit is wet and throbbing around his fingers. your thighs shake as you reach your high, and sukuna has to shove his lips to yours to quiet your moans. he licks his tongue into your mouth, hot and wet and sloppy, palm settling to gently rub your clit through your high.
you gasp, pulling away. your lashes are sticky & your cheeks flushed hot. “i missed you.”
he kisses you again, soft. “missed you too.”
he slips your panties off your thighs, holding your naked body against him. “missed this pussy too,” he rasps. “gonna stuff you till you’re cumming on my cock.”
you squirm against him, swatting his chest as he unzips his trousers. “but i just came!”
“you’ll come again, pretty.”
he fumbles with the zipper, slipping out his heavy, hard cock. his cockhead is throbbing and sticky with precum, and he shifts you forward so your back is against his chest.
“go slow,” you whimper, already nervous.
he kisses your shoulder. “you don’t want that.”
and you don’t. you arch into him as he slips his cock into your puffy, slick-coated folds from behind. he smears precum and slick over them with his cockhead, kissing your shoulder as you shiver against him. “relax, you’re okay. you still on the pill, baby?”
you nod shyly. he kisses your neck.
sukuna’s cock is thick. heavy and swollen and pulsing between your slobbering foods. he pushes his hips into you, letting your pussy squelch around him, and his arm fits under your body so he can grope your perky breasts. he tugs on a nipple before rolling it between his fingers. fuck.
you whimper as his cock stretches you out, sliding deeper and deeper into your folds. “fuck,” he breathes against your ear. “you’re so fucking hot. so tight. so wet.”
you whimper as his fingers find your clit again. he circles it hard, hips bucking to push his cock deeper into you before sliding back out, palms still fondling your breasts. it’s too much, it’s too fucking much, and he can hardly blame you for whining against him. “ryo—”
“shh—you’re good, you’re doing so good,” he rasps as you clench around his cock. “so fucking good. you know how good you feel around my cock, baby? m’so fucking lucky—.”
he’s shushing you but his hips only buck faster and faster. your eyes squeeze shut as he breathes. “fuck, gonna cum—“
your walls quiver around him as you come together, white hot cum stuffed between your folds. you groan, ragged, as sukuna pants into your neck. he kisses your shoulder before resting his head against your neck.
“i love you,” he rasps.
“i love you too.”
you stay like that for a moment, holding each other before he kisses your shoulder. “let’s get you cleaned up.”
——
“you have a lot of explaining to do.”
sukuna comes back with new shorts hanging low on his v-line. he has a warm cloth in his hands, and he climbs over your sore body. even now you’re still smiling up at him, lashes fluttering, cheeks flushed. “whatever do you mean?”
“don’t play dumb,” he kisses your cheek before gently nudging your thighs open. he slides the cloth down your inner thigh, ignoring the way you reach up to thread your fingers through his hair. “you have to explain. why you went to naoya.”
“but what if i don’t want to?”
“you will,” he says. he slides your panties up your thighs, pressing a kiss to your clit before slipping them all the way up.
but then he changes his mind. slips your panties down again.
“ryomen.” you’re already sitting up.
“relax,” he mutters against your puffy cunt. “lean back for me.”
you sigh, doing as he says. he licks a stripe up your glistening folds. he can taste himself on your stuffed cunt but his tongue keeps moving regardless. he pulls back, lips glistening with slick.
“you’re gonna tell me exactly what your fucking plan was,” he sucks on your bud, letting go with a pop. “why i saw you again with naoya after he dared to fucking talk to you like that.”
“so strict,” you whimper, cheeks puffed as your hips arch into him. “i can date anyone i want.”
“no,” sukuna hisses. “you can only date me.”
“mmh—” you moan as his tongue slobbers over your glossy folds. you run your fingers through his hair as your pussy drools onto his tongue. “mmh—wanted to make you mad,”
“you did good,” he sticks a finger into your cunt and you gasp, loud. he’s knuckles deep now, pumping his finger in and out of you. “hah—wanted you jealous,” you moan. “we were gonna get revenge.”
his fingers curl so hard you cry his name.
you whimper and he ignores it. “was already jealous. why’d you go back to him after he touched you?”
he curls his fingers again. “ah—! sorry, i’m sorry,” you cry, lashes wet. feels so good. “we weren’t dating for real. just showed up in public together. he said we couldn’t stop, said if we did that meant you won,” you whimper. “he apologized, let me punch him. i gave him a—hnngh—black eye.”
ah. so the black eye naoya had wasn’t from sato and suguru.
sukuna swirls his tongue over your clit, lapping and sucking as he pumps another finger into your drooling pussy. he curls them until he’s pressing into that spongy part that makes you sob, and he sucks gingerly as your pussy sputters and spits slick into his mouth. “ryo—m’gonna cum—”
your thighs shake, walls clenching. sukuna pumps his fingers in faster, letting your thighs squeeze his neck. you cum over his mouth, right around his fingers, and sukuna kisses your puffy, still-sensitive clit.
when he looks up at you, you’re glaring. eyes glistening wet, cheeks flushed. pretty.
“what?” he says.
“you’re so mean,” you frown. “you see why i break up with you?”
sukuna huffs, climbing over your figure. when he’s right above you, you tug his neck down.
“i love you,” you mumble.
he kisses your lips. “i love you too.”
COCK’S REMARK : *HARDENS*
EX-BOYFRIEND TACTICS #6: BREAK THE CYCLE !
taught by: ryomen sukuna
“loving you is a loop.”
ΣΧ
in toru gojo’s room of his apartment, the boys of sigma chi are all there. oh—and you too, of course.
sato is fast asleep on his twin’s bed, laid down & drooling on suguru’s shoulder beside him. suguru is tapping at his nintendo switch with furious speed. toru is cooking up something in the kitchen. and on his PC, you and sukuna are there, suguru’s sims 4 game loaded up on screen.
you’re on sukuna’s lap, his arm looped around your hips as you rant about the many tribulations you had to endure while ‘dating’ naoya. you’re customizing sukuna’s sim for your save file, and said man is doing nothing but rubbing your thighs and pressing lazy kisses to your skin.
“—and he leaves his boxers everywhere!” you exclaim, scrolling through geto’s CC folder. “i had to come over after he had practice once and they were everywhere. it’s that bad!”
“mhm,” sukuna kisses your neck, love drunk & bleary-eyed. “so bad, baby.”
“he’s so unhygienic,” you shift in sukuna’s lap, and he squeezes your hips to keep you steady. “i told him to at least clean up if he knows i’m coming over. he said no!”
sukuna nuzzles your ear, squeezes your thigh. “mm. m’gonna kill him.”
“no you will not! stop threatening murder!”
sukuna looks up. you’ve turned your head over your shoulder to glare at him, and he looks up at you through bleary eyes. your cheeks are warm. lashes fluttering. you’re the prettiest headache he’s ever had.
he kisses your jaw. “missed fighting with your pretty face,” he murmurs. “gimme a kiss, baby.”
you soften, and he leans up to kiss you deep.
“woah—” suguru throws a pillow at you both. sukuna swats it away from you without pulling back from your lips. he squeezes your waist and geto frowns. “even if sato’s asleep, i’m still fucking here!”
sukuna ignores him, his hand crawling up to grope your tits. suguru scowls, turns over to face sato’s sleeping figure. he should’ve known protesting was futile. sukuna’s always been an exhibitionist, but you’d think his therapy sessions would’ve taught him better by now.
sukuna pulls back, your gloss smeared over his lip & chin. you giggle at the sight, “hi.”
“mmh,” he nuzzles your neck.
the door swings open, snapping you and sukuna out of your daze. in comes toru gojo with a plate of lazy cake, glasses slipping down his nose. he blushes when he sees you and sukuna pressed close together. “hi. i made snacks.”
“oh, toru!” you purr. “you’re my favorite, have i told you that?”
toru sets down the plate on the desk in front of you. as he leans down you press a kiss to his cheek, and he blushes so hard his face turns beet red. he looks up, surprised, and you’re beaming at him. behind you, sukuna is scowling.
toru drops the plate and runs away.
you turn back to glare at sukuna. “you scared him.”
“no one’s allowed to kiss you.”
“i kissed him!”
sukuna ignores your protests, trying to cup your jaw so he can get a kiss of his own. you shove his face back, and he scowls.
“go apologize to toru,” you frown at him. “now.”
sukuna wants to protest. wants to say he’s comfortable right here with your thighs over his lap and your lipgloss on his chin. but he knows if he fights back he’ll be left with nothing but a sore earlobe & an angry girlfriend. he grumbles as you slide off him.
sukuna trudges to the kitchen, says his apologies. toru accepts them in a heartbeat.
when he comes back to the room, you’re gone.
“where is she?” his heart drops. “suguru—where is she?”
“chill,” suguru mumbles, eyes never leaving his switch. “she left you a letter. check on the desk.”
and next to toru’s plate of dessert, a letter is indeed there. he picks it up, thumb running over the paper. you’ve left a glossy kiss mark at the end.
‘dear sukuna,’ it reads.
‘i’m breaking up with you.’
sukuna’s blood runs cold.
‘i know we just got back together a week ago. but i thought about it! thought about how i’m becoming a better woman, growing in my spiritual journey. do i really want a jealous man who scares away my friends by my side??
so i decided: let’s break up. for real this time. it’s not you, it’s me. maybe if we’re truly meant to be, the stars will align and our paths will cross yet again. but for now? i have to choose me and my growth. so i’m leaving. for good.
i still love you though!! you’ll always be my lover <3 i love you soso much baby boy. i don’t even want to do this. but i know i have to make the right choice for both of us.
sorry to walk away like this. and don’t forget, you are not allowed to date any other woman!!! i am the only woman for you!! always and forever!! no dating, sex, kissing, touching, NOTHING. if i find out you even LOOK at another woman i’ll hate you forever!!!!!!!!!!!!
okay, that’s all. goodbye forever. i’ll always love you ryo <333333 i’m sorry it had to end this way.’
sukuna stares at the letter. he reads it once. twice. then once more.
and then he laughs.
because this is his girlfriend, bratty and high-maintenance and demanding and all. because you say goodbye forever, but he knows he’ll see you next week. he knows tonight you’ll call and say you miss his voice and afterwards you’ll send him a text saying you’re still not getting back with him and will be blocking him as a final goodbye. he knows you’ll unblock him on a random wednesday and won’t text, and he’ll just have to keep sending messages till they don’t turn green and he can ask you to come back to him.
and you’ll say yes. you always do. and if there’s anything or anyone who stops you from saying yes, he’ll crush them.
he rubs his thumb over the bottom of the letter. your glossy kiss mark is there.
and right beside it?
