Open to: Everyone - Pat-downs and Arrests
If it hadnât been for the Mayor herself insisting he partake in this raid, Remy wouldnât have bothered to even show up at the festival. He knew that Gianna was around here somewhere with the girls, the two youngsters likely stuffing their faces full of junk food and whatever else they could convince their mother into buying for them - after all, Gia was always a bit of a push over when it came to their kids. Shaking his head, Remy looked down at his watch and ticked down the minutes as he exited The Pint - just as sober as when he had gone in, unfortunately. Heâd been on watch all day, wandering the streets and weaving his way in and out of bars and such whilst dressed in disguise as a civilian and knew that for tonight, heâd have to keep his head clear. A drunk detective was a recipe for disaster and not what tonight was all about.Â
Finally, the time on his watch struck 10:00, and Remy immediately went on the move. He was, by no means, an unnecessarily rough guy, so he didnât just start grabbing people left and right to search their persons. That would be assault. Instead, he took out his badge from his back pocket and flashed it at the nearest group of civilians before barking out orders and guiding the startled but thankfully compliant individuals to the side of the building, where heâd be conducting his searches. He instructed them and anyone on-coming to get into a single-file line for a mandatory pat-down. His gruff voice making it clear that there was no second options. Any runners or non-complacent would immediately be detainedâŚand that was his one and only warning to the crowd, before he began.
Five civilians in and so far, so good. He nodded upon finishing his sixth, and patted the male on the shoulder once he was satisfied, âGood man, youâre free to go. Sorry for the trouble,â he apologized dutifully, before beckoning forward the next one in line. âYou next,â he ordered, âHands against the wall, legs apart.â
aiden had been busy with taking photos of the festival. he wasnât planning on getting drunk or eating as much junk food as he could. it sounded tempting, but there were more important matters on his mind. his roommates were probably bar-hopping or doing god knows what. it wasnât long before he heard a familiar voice. he turned to see the silhouette of his father patting people down. aiden kept a good distance from his father as he didnât want to interrupt his work. however, he was curious what was happening. maybe it was for the best that he hid from his family. he had not bumped into his mother or his younger siblings at all.
he quickly snapped a couple more pictures before putting down his camera. it was no surprise that wherever there were large crowds of inebriated people, there was law enforcement. or was there something else that was going on? aiden quickly walked toward remy. he was debating if he should walk by like nothing was happening. maybe it wasnât a good time to exchange pleasantries. Â
his thoughts were interrupted by a drunk stranger who slung his arms around aidenâs shoulder. âshi-,â he suddenly exclaimed. âwhoa man, you okay?â he wobbled for a bit trying to balance the strangerâs weight. âletâs get you settled down somewhere.â instead of walking past remy without being noticed, aiden bumped into someone. this caused the intoxicated stranger to fall due to the impact. aiden looked up. âoh, hey dad.â he awkwardly smirked. Â
