He had already warned the guy to shut his mouth twice, having heard him make comments about other women and it was genuinely starting to piss him off. He tried not to get mad nowadays, with being a wolf plus just how aggressive he could be it wasn’t a good mix. But this guy was pushing it and basically told him to fuck off each time. And as he heard him insult a woman for the third time, he stood up to punch him, only to watch a woman fly across the bar and begin to pummel him. Smirking, he sat down and watched the scene, drinking his beer and nodding in amusement at seeing such a proud guy get his dick handed to him. Though, as she turned to him, he simply raised his hands, “you simply got to him before I had a chance to,” he explained, “’m impressed though, that was a hell of a fight”
georgiana’s demeanor relaxed a bit by the man’s show of submission before she leaned over the bar to look at the man. when she saw him writhing on the floor, groaning and holding his head, she stood back up, satisfied. “not much fight in him, i’d say.” tossing the shattered bottle to the side, georgiana wiped the spilled beer from her hands onto the apron tied around her waist. she then placed a new bottle on the bar in front of theodoor. “on the house- for the compliment. you’ve uh...been in town for a while now, right? i’ve seen y’in here before. how’re you settling in?”

her entire body hops off its seat to the sound of a c r a s h ! glass shattering against someone’s hard skull . she freezes —– her ear hadn’t actually picked up any of the conversation , so what follows is pure shock —- these places can be incredibly loud , which is why she avoids venturing out in public most of the time . she’s happy to stay within the confinements of her home , where it’s warm and safe , and nobody throws chairs across the room in a burst of rage .
“ i can’t believe you really did that … ” pandora mumbles , strirring her digits in her lap as a self-soothing gesture , desperately trying to pace her erratic breathing back into a slow rhytim . “ no ! no , no … i didn’t do anything . ” she’s quick to retort , wishing she’d never stared to begin with — recoiling into herself : a cocoon of insecurity . those hands had only ever known how to be gentle , she wouldn’t know how to defend herself if she wanted to .
georgiana could tell by looking at the girl that she wasn’t from around those parts. not just due to her demeanor - though, that didn’t help either. bon temps was just one of those towns where everyone knew everyone else and, a lot of times, everyone knew everyone else’s business as well. just came with small town territory, she supposed. but, she could also see how the young woman squirmed in her chair after the assault. nobody in on temps was quite that soft, that easily startled. there was something about growing up in rural louisiana, especially on the bayou - it just gave you a bit of grit. instead of allowing her anger to spill over, the bartender took a deep breath, smoothed some stray curls away from her face, and tossed the broken bottle in the trash. “welcome to merlotte’s.”
just as she was going to turn and go to the back for a minute for a smoke break, she heard it. the voices. this time, they sounded urgent. “the girl, the girl!” georgiana’s wide brown eyes narrowed at the timid girl. suddenly, she was across the bar and had her hand wrapped around the girl’s arm and was walking out the door. under the yellow glow of a lamp post, georgiana stared at the younger woman with intensity. “who the fuck are you? what’re you doing here?”
it was a fairly busy night at merlotte’s given it was the middle of the week. when it got busy like that, georgie had grown to expect trouble of some sort. for the most part, she enjoyed the customers. most were locals - people she’d known her entire life. but even then, you get enough liquor in somebody and you never knew what they’d do. and sure enough...
now, georgiana didn’t take kindly to rudeness of any sort. however, you throw in some entitlement mixed with sexism and you got yourself an angry, southern medium. some fella had wandered in with a buddy of his and apparently had grown tired of waiting at the bar as georgiana helped other patrons. “damn, if this bitch didn’t have titties like that, i’d’ve left already.” and, without missing a beat, georgiana was across the bar, glass beer bottle in hand before it went crashing against the man’s skull, sending him to the dirty ground. face twisted up, georgiana turned back around, disregarding the silence that ensued as people stretched their necks to get a look at the commotion. then, georgie caught the eyes of someone else sat at her bar. “there somethin’ you want er are you wantin’ to join him?”
open to: all!
location: anywhere in downtown bon temps!
“god, this town didn’t change one bit.” it had been a very long time since she had been in bon temps and to be honest? her last trip was a short one, something about stefan going on a ripper tour that tried to end with his hometown. as she did (it could practically be considered her part time job), she was able to stop him before he got too close to actually going through with it. now was different though, there wasn’t that tension in the air like something terrible could be brewing. it was just a normal small town, normal enough to be running rampant with the supernatural. “excuse me!” they looked nice enough to actually respond to lexi. “have you seen a big brooding guy about ye tall - “ she put up a hand a bit over her head, “with some God like chizzled cheeks that’s probably carrying a backpack that looks like he’s had it for way too long?”
georgiana paused on her way back to the kitchen of merlotte’s as someone seemed to holler out to her. she pressed her lips together in a hard line before spinning on the heel of her worn-in boot. she already gathered the woman wasn’t a local - her accent wasn’t near anything what it would have been if that had been the case. as the woman went on, one of georgiana’s eyebrows raised ever so slightly above her eye. “sugar, you’re gonna have to be a helluva lot more specific than that. you see anybody in this place sportin’ anything that looks like they haven’t been usin’ it everyday for the last ten years?” not to mention the comment about his physique. bon temps was filled with people who did physical labor. the men typically fell into two categories - the one lexi had described or the type that looked like they may keel over from their next bowl of gumbo.

[ emmy rossum & she/her & cisfemale ] : my oh my, is that GEORGIANA "GEORGIE" PEABODY in bon temps ? what the hell are they up to hanging around MERLOTTE'S BAR AND GRILL listening to RUNNING UP THAT HILL by MEG MYERS when they should be doing whatever a BARTENDER does ? between you and i, the 33 year old MEDIUM is avoided for acting STANDOFFISH, but whenever they let their RESILIENT side shine through people flock to them. i guess they're in town because SHE WAS BORN AND RAISED THERE. explains some of it, though i can't help but wonder if there's more to a HANDS CLASPED OVER EARS and SPANISH MOSS SWAYING FROM SPRAWLING OAK LIMBS story. ─── abbie, 27, est, she/her.
hi everyone! i’m abbie and this is my oc, georgiana peabody. i’d love to plot and make connections so if you’re interested in that, like this post! anyways, here’s a bit more about georgie!
tw beneath the cut : murder and domestic violence
georgie is a native of bon temps. her family has lived there for several generations.
she grew up in a little shack, not far from the bayou. she loved it. she loved the sticky, wet air. she loved the occasional breeze that would roll in from those murky, gator infested waters. she loved watching the spanish moss in the trees sway back and forth. she loved walking around barefoot, letting her feet get right nasty from mud and dirt and grass.
what she missed most about her childhood was her mother, martha. martha was a kind and beautiful woman. georgie fondly remembers weekend morning on the porch swing with martha running her fingers through the girl’s wild dark hair.
it wasn’t totally uncommon around places like bon temps to hear of men beating their wives. martha and georgiana’s father, gary, were no exception. gary would get to drinking and something would set him off and, boy, it was like watching a rabid animal. and georgiana knew he was one that needed to be put down.
the peabody family never did have a lot of money but even still, georgiana knew she’d’ve been happy if it weren’t for her father. she was an average student - good enough, at least. and she’d lay in bed and imagine if her parents loved each other. she’d have little siblings to play with and laugh with.
georgie’s mama had been sporting more and more bruises and busted lips as her daddy drank more and more. georgie hated getting off the school bus.
but one day she got off and her house was all surrounded by yellow tape and cars with lights on top flashing red, white, and blue. they would’ve been pretty if they didn’t mean something so ugly.
georgiana fought hard to get into that little shack. she could see where something had busted through one of the front windows and, as she looked hard, she saw a pair of feet laying in the front doorway. for a ten-year-old, scrawny girl, it took two police officers to pull her into a car.
the officer took her to her granny’s and that’s where she finished growing up.
not long after her mother’s murder, georgiana began having vivid dreams about martha. at first, she’d just dream of being held by her mother again. then it slowly turned to conversation until, one day, the conversation didn’t end when she awoke.
it was torment at first - to hear the voice of her mama at any given moment. but over the years she began honing her skill. it’s easier to control for the most part (depending on the spirit) and she hears more than just her mother.
georgiana has never left the state of louisiana and has never left bon temps.
she now occupies her parents’ old house on the bayou - it was the only thing her parents had to give her upon their passing.
she’s worked at merlotte’s since she was in high school. ( previous owners before sam had taken over)
was previously married (leaving this open because i’ll make her ex a wc)
