Choi Youngjae x Im Jaebum

Summary: After Youngjae met Jaebum, he realized just how important the other was to him. Every moment he was with him felt like he was in paradise, making him forget about his worries. But after the night they shared together, all of the old problems came back, making sure to hit him even stronger this time. What Youngjae didn’t know was that there will be some new as well. Not just with Taemin, but with Im Jaebum himself.

Part I: 2Jae

They had made plans that day. They tried to spend every second they could together. One was a “bad boy” that wore ripped jeans and a scruffy mullet. The other was kind boy that laughed too loud. They were from two different worlds. But they were in love. 

They had made plans in secret that day. One was to meet his love on the bridge across the river that connected the city. So ditching his friends, he walked to the bridge during the early afternoon. 

They had made plans in secret that day. The other finished getting ready for their meet up. They had just sent a text saying they were on their way. About to climb out the window a cleared throat halted his movements. An arm on his arm pulled him back inside his room. Angry shouts exchanged. A phone smashed. A window locked. A door locked. 

They made plans in secret that day. He had waited two hours. The bright sun was high in the sky. He grew anxious, but he waited. He sent texts. No reply. But he waited. The thought of holding his soft hand. The thought of his laugh. The thought of his lips. He waited. 

They made plans in secret that day. He cried. And cried. He tried to break down the door. He tried to break the window. He desperately wanted to meet him on the bridge. He wanted to play with the rips in his jeans. He wanted to twist the rings on his fingers. He wanted to hold the other’s rough hand. He cried.

They made plans in secret that day. The sun slowly set as he realized he wasn’t going to show up to the bridge. The air grew cold. He grew cold. And sad. He checked his phone. Nothing. The sun set. The air was frigid. He walked back. Alone. 

They made plans in secret that day. His room a rotting prison. Tears running. Body cold. Heart broken. He was tired. The night heavy on his shoulders. He dreamed of his rough hands. His soft kisses. His smile when they were alone. His dreams were the only safe place they could meet.

Youngjae’s fingertips are tingling, he wants to tug on Jaebum’s shirt, but it’s not there, the older boy is only wearing his underwear, and it feels like he shouldn’t hold onto his bare skin. Youngjae really doesn’t know where all his boldness comes from.

“Can you hug me please?”

A/N: I will make my 2JaeNetIntro into two parts, so this is my fic! I will post my introduction later~ Ah this is literally…something I really enjoyed writing. It didn’t take me much like it usually does. I wrote this instead of another I had in mind. I might let the moodboard of the other fic I had in mind out. Also, the ‘suggestive’ part is more like a work-in-progess for me so sorry! I am not good at writing those… hehehe  I would love to thank @cuddly2jaeand @loeyars for encouraging me to keep writing. The ideas flowed through pretty quickly. Um I think I also felt it when I wrote it. I hope you enjoy it! 

The moon and stars covered the night sky - creating some sort of path- trying to comfort those who needed it. Showing them which way to go. It led people somewhere they felt safe and warm. It led them somewhere they wanted to be. No matter how twisted that want was.

Maybe that’s why Youngjae found his way to Jaebum again.

“Youngjae?” Jaebum breathes out his name, brows furrowed as he sees the younger at his front door. It wasn’t necessarily a good time to pay a visit since the sun was down and no one was out. But Youngjae was. And maybe he was starting to regret it. Youngjae was breathing heavily- feeling his ribs press against his lungs as if stopping him from ruining whatever he had with Jaebum. 

Although, it was always like this.

The feeling of helplessness, of not wanting anyone else but him. Every damn time with no fail. Jaebum was the first person that popped into his head, despite the various of friends he had. Despite the various people who showed interest in him. None of them popped into his head as often as the man in front of him.

“What are you doing here?” Jaebum’s voice was distant and cold.

“I just wanted to,” Youngjae swallowed the fear and guilt that kept eating him up. “I just wanted to see you.” It had been a while since he came to see Jaebum. 

After all, Jinyoung was attempting to find time for his boyfriend in the midst of responsibilities. A sweet, wonderful boyfriend who he shared an apartment with and dearly adored.

Just like that, he was reminded of what he was doing.

Youngjae needed to get to the point. He doesn’t know when he’ll get another chance to bring everything up. “We just need to talk abo-”

Jinyoung’s hoarse voice pierced the tense atmosphere between Jaebum and Youngjae. “Jaebum? Is everything okay?” Jaebum’s cold gaze becomes soft as he turns to look at Jinyoung.

Youngjae had only seen those soft gazes when the two were alone. When no one else, but the two of them, mattered. 

“It’s okay, baby. Just go back to sleep and rest.” The smile on Jaebum’s lips made him look like he could do no harm.
