@fat_pig_farm @brunyislandcheese my first attempt at cooking something from one of your books, the curly endive salad from the Deli Book. They didn't have thick enough bacon at my local supermarket deli so I just got short cut bacon although I live near Obelisk & Co. & they sell nitrate free Wessex saddleback bacon so that's something to keep in mind in future. Didn't pickle the eggs but used apple cider vinegar and olive oil for the dressing and I think that gave an adequate equivalent flavour. And certainly didn't do the beetroot myself, got baby beets from the jar! Used wholegrain bread for the croutons and basil infused olive oil which worked nicely.
