Anita: "He was incredibly talented and gifted. In jazz, people like that are called “big faces”. He was really “initiated”. He went crazy on drugs and that was the downfall of everything…"
David Dalton: "Do you think the drug arrests eventually brought Brian to the edge of the abyss?"
Anita: "He was completely burnt out before he was arrested. He took acid. Everyone says he was using a lot of other drugs. He'd never tried heroin in his life. Of course he took acid. Why doesn't anybody believe that Brian never did drugs in the first place?" - part of David Dalton's interview with Anita Pallenberg in 1980.
