What was The Seer circle like? Did it follow the plot of the comic, just continuing on that story beyond its cancelation. Or was it radically different, going on its own path before its ultimate destruction?
Also how does Korbyn feel about the Seer circle? I mean the people who were her best friends in that world are now a completely different person, a disgusting drug addict abuser and at least for Scarecrow girl (so far) completely non-existent. Does she miss this life she didn't live or is it not something that she lets affect her much?
Sorry for all the questions, Korbyn is my favorite character in Origin and I'd love to know more about her.
It did follow the plot of comic! After all, that's kind of what "failed" Circles are meant to be. The implication is supposed to be that something went REALLY wrong the moment you stop "observing" their story.
With Jeff, I think she had to accept a long time ago that he was never going to be a truly good person. Because a good version of Jeff isn't Jeff the Killer, and if he was truly on a good path, they would never meet. In some ways, NOT seeing the people she cares about makes her feel better, because it's assumed that whatever caused them to encounter the Tall Ones never happened. She's doomed to always be involved in the Game, but other people have a chance of escaping it through sheer coin flips.
I don't think she knows what her life is supposed to look like. That's why she cares so much about averting the disaster, why she wants to end the Circle. She wants ONE life, and she wants to live it without being afraid of waking up as a baby again the moment it's over.
