After trying to jump right into experiments without careful planning and failing to obtain meaningful results, my advisor wisely slowed me down and turned my focus to doing a full literature review on my research topic. I had to read through A LOT of papers, but I'm glad that I did.

학부생의 기억을 되살려 곧장 사전공부 없이 실험을 시작하려고 했으나 얼마 못가 의미없는 데이터를 얻었음을 깨닫게 되었다. 다행히 교수님께선 내게 현재까지 내 연구 주제와 관련된 논문들을 싹다 훑으라는 과제를 주셨고 그렇게 나를 진정(?)시키고 차근차근 연구를 진행하게 해주셔서 너무 감사하다.

I did ambitiously check out four books from the library but am not sure whether I'll be able to finish them all throughout this semester🤔

Unofficially started my Master's degree and there's so much to learn. Left the (in hindsight) comfort of the chemical world to explore the biological side of phosphorus cycling. Already questioning my decision but still hanging on. After all, it's just been a month.

비공식적으로 석사 과정 시작, 배워야 할 것들이 무척 많다. 학부생 때 화학적 실험 위주의 (이제보니) 편안한 삶을 살고 있었는데 이젠 생물학적으로 인의 순환에 대해 연구를 시작. 벌써 내 선택에 대한 의구심이 생기지만 할만은 하다. 아직 한달 밖에 안됐는걸.

Didn't achieve much but still was a hectic month. Somehow still managed to read two books, watch five movies and finish "Stranger Things 3". Summer is flying by ✈
