Boredom-Epiphany

Maybe because people's lives are so boring they would just rather watch someone else's life. Or simply because they're tired of all the clichés on TV and just want somethig different and more ""real"".

I guess a lot of people assume that you're OK if they look at you and you physically look OK, and they probably don't even bother wondering if, perhaps, you're also fine on the inside. Could be because they just don't care enough about you to wonder this kind of stuff, or they're just ignorant and don't see the point in thinking about it in general. So, mostly because everything is very superficial.

Thought of the day: why is liking books more socially acceptable than liking movies/tv shows?

I think reading a book is seen as more "impressive" because you actually have to imagine what's happening, like, all the places, conversations, actions, even characters, you have to put in at least the slightest effort to try to play the story in your head. When you watch a movie everything is already happening in front of you and you don't exactly have to do anything other than paying some amount of attention to be able to actually understand the story.

So maybe thats why? I guess books are, and probably forever will be, seen as more "intellectual" than movies, therefore, more socially acceptable. But that`s kind of stupid because some movies do a lot more for you than reading a book.

ahah well I don`t want to have to think about Finding Nemo any more than I already had to in school (this sounds ridiculous), but I`d say it just means like, learn to let go of people, even if you love them.

I was planning on posting my favourite quotes or something, but the experience was so surreal that I feel like I`ve forgotten everything (or maybe that I remember it so well that I can recite the whole thing word by word).

It was actually fantastic. The kind of fantastic that makes you sad, but still fantastic.
