A head tilt said she agreed with his offer, but also that there could always be a reason. An attack on the city, for one, having to take on a mission for another, needing to scope something out for his work, getting something down for one of the local kids... There was always something that could result in her having to scamper up another wall like a squirrel searching to a place to hide its stash of acorns, even aside for it being 'for fun'.

All the same, she'd let the tilt shift into a nod, and her nod into a smile that held a hint of mischeviouness to it. "I'll take that deal, good doing business with you - And with that set in ice, I can tell you the 'what I want' is a date night at Podvorye Restraunt." Had she mentioned that sooner, it would've changed the entire 'negotiation' - She knew her best friend too well to ever assume it wouldn't, eyes all but sparkling with that same mischevious glint.

"You didn't think I'd pick something you wouldn't have enjoyed too, did you? So remember... I have three strikes before I lose that." Possibly more, too. The boy she'd grown up with and ultimately married never missed out on a chance to spend time together with her like that, especially not after being forced to in one way or another for so long as it was!

Just like the sound of an agreeable sigh would be his sign that they'd reached a deal. Somehow, that was a lot less painful than he'd been expecting! Normally, Kag being all 'up in arms' during one of her stubborn streaks like that usually meant more trouble for him. He couldn't just force her back in line like some of the other Harbingers did with their units -- and Kag knew that much, too!

But if a dinner was really all she was asking for-

" Yeah I know, I know. Just like I know as much as you hate hearing them, I really do try not to go back on my promises either. So if you can manage to keep your end of the deal this time, Sparky, then we'll go get some good food. "

For some reason, his instincts were telling him he was about to eat those words with the way Kag had ended that with a quip -- but surely she wouldn't do anything that'd force him to pull rank on her just to answer for her need to cause a scene, would she? He didn't feel like doing that as much as Kag wouldn't appreciate it.

"I wouldn't call it bored. I'd call it fun." she hadn't meant to admit that, sure, but... Childe was always hard for her to hide things from, honestly. Even if it wasn't the entire truth - She'd been wanting a straight path, climbing got her to him faster, and it'd been fun - she couldn't help but to let that much slip, giving another shrug of her shoulders to cover for it. "This i just what I do, and you know that. Shit's easier when you go in a straight line, and-"

Wait. had he just mentioned... Anywhere she wanted?

Though her head barely shifted, her gaze noticably turned in the direction of Podvorye Restaurant. It had been a while since they'd been able to slip away on a dinner date... The quiet of night in Snezhnograd, a good drink and a hot meal at a table in the corner, off by a window where they could watch the snow fall... Kag hated to admit it, but the offer was tempting. Reel herself in and be a 'good goat' for a date night, or possible get herself arrested again and delay him from work just so she could scale another wall or six...

" I don't see why you'd have to scale a wall while we're in the city, but fine. Counter offer accepted. But instead of taking away a 'small portion' every time you slip up, lets make it 'three strikes'. Lose all three and you've also lost whatever favor I've just promised you. Sound good? "

That wasn't that unreasonable sounding, was it? Sure, that line of bargaining was something he often used on his younger siblings to get them to cooperate with him, but it wasn't something so childish that Kag couldn't agree to it either. To Childe, it actually sounded like something extremely fair!

And if it worked to keep Kag from climbing walls and making a spectacle of their time in Snezhnograd, then even better!

But was he actually unimpressed, or was he just saving face in public? That was the key question there she didn't dare ask for that exact reason, lips parting to remind he was also fine before they'd press back together. Truth be told, he'd already been hauled in to answer for her as her superior and partner more times than she could count since their childhood... She couldn't claim he wouldn't be with those memories in mind!

So, propping her hands up on her coat-covered hips instead, she'd pin a stare on him. "Oh, please. Wouldn't be the first time they've stared at me - I should charge for pictures." And yet again, she wouldn't, but... Did Snezhnograd really think she hadn't heard the whispers about a 'human goat' whenever she was there? "Besides, you're assuming I do it as a scout. Maybe I just do it for fun. Maybe I like this look on your face."

" Does that mean you're really that bored then? "

Though the question sounded like one thing, Kag would probably pick up on it more as a disguised plea for her to tone it down a little than anything else. Childe was definitely familiar with Kag's normal attitude. Typically, he wouldn't have tried to reel her in so hard and would've let the electro goat in her run wild -- but couldn't she read the room a little better and act more...professional for a bit? At least while they were busy taking care of business in the city?

Kag let her nose scrunch up in a look of distaste at the mention of the stairs. Had they been home, she would've argued that it took longer to go around to them than it did to just climb up to him, and by then he would've been gone most likely - Why waste time when she could just pop up over a railing and cut her travel distance in half? Much better. Much faster. More Fun.

But they weren't home, and for that, she'd let distaste shift into something far blunter. "And your point is...? I got here in record time." And probably with another strike to her name somewhere in the records, but since when did that bother her? Or the stares around them? "I'm fine, either way. Look, no harm, no foul. It's not like I can get arrested for it or anything."

...Was she sure about that? Last Childe could remember, Kag had been in trouble plenty of times before for climbing up on perches she shouldn't have been on. Normally, he would've been impressed! Scaling a whole stone wall like she had was no easy feat, but even he trusted her to know there was a time and place for everything...right?

But as much as he wanted to point all of that out and have her answer for it, he wouldn't. Instead, he'd just shoot Kag an even more unimpressed look.

If she was bothered by the staring and sighs, even from her harbinger, Kag didn't show it. It wasn't like she wasn't used to it, after all; how many times now had she had to be removed from higher perches than this by the Druzhna and scolded for her 'goating'? This was nothing new, both for them and her, so it should've also been no surprise that she'd turn to glance back at the wall she'd scaled to reach him before shrugging.

" And common sense couldn't have told you to take the stairs, at least while we're in the city? There's plenty of them around. "

His tone was more exasperated than genuinely upset. She probably knew that -- but Kag also should've known that scaling walls and facades wasn't highly praised within the city limits of Snezhnograd either. She might've been as nimble as a mountain goat, but...most buildings weren't cliffsides waiting to be conquered.
