Warning to people who join networks
Okay so im here to warn everyone after a drama that occurred in the network @seventeenfam17y. Please note that this is not about the family itself, but its admin.
There is a very long and confusing story behind what went down, but ive tried to simplify it as much as I could. Please feel free to come to me (or the people listed at the bottom of this post) if you want any more information on this. I will also post a heap of screenshots under a read more so people can see some more solid evidence.
When I was added to the network in Feburary, I was blissfully ignorant of how negatively it would affect me. The admin (who went by the names Winter, Eunji Moon/Moonji) seemed (at the time) caring and colourful - a generally nice person. But as time went on, myself and others in the group began noticing some inconsistencies in some of her claims. Claims that she would later admit to being lies. These included lies about where she lived, her family, her name, her face, her education/work, possibly even her health - basically, her entire life was a complete lie.
Eunji (as I will refer to her for now, while not knowing if that is their real name) took it upon herself to weave herself into our lives and manipulate us to the point where many felt too uncomfortable to talk in the network’s kkt, and most of us were too unsure to call her out. She made us care about her and her problems, no matter how fabricated they sometimes seemed. She stole pictures from someone’s tumblr ( solessense ) and sent them to us as her selfies/pictures of her family members and friends. vvv
One of the worst things about her lies is that even after she was finally called out, she made up a whole new story about why she did it and turned it into a huge pity party for her (screenshots under the cut). She claimed to have known the person she stole pictures from (Jura), but when contacted (reverse searching the pictures through google turned the original poster up) Jura had no idea who Eunji, or the networks other so-called admin Spade/Jihae, were. Understandably, both of the girls that were the actual people in the photos (Jura and her friend) were shocked and didn’t even believe us at first. They thought it was a joke - that someone wouldn’t do something that ridiculous and awful. But alas, here we are.
This, and the fact that the seventeenfam17y blog hasn’t been deleted (unlike ALL of her other social network pages after she left the kkt) leads myself and the rest of our network to believe that she might try and do this to someone else. Heck, we might not even be the first lot of people she’s done this too. Either way, we feel that its our responsibility to warn everyone about this. To implore you to be careful, to be vigilant, and to talk out if you think somethings not right. Its quite possible that this person will move into other fandoms too.
If you are invited to a kkt by the seventeenfam17y tumblr DO NOT accept. Eunji is the only one with access to that blog so none of us have control over the people who have already applied.
