The older I get, the more I think about how just having our parents by our side can often turn a public space into a warm and safe bubble. Dozing off on a train for instance.

A character for a story that’s been brewing in my head for a while!

Here is the second and last piece I did for the Art Show at work. This one is called “Fireworks”, a tribute to my mom who saved me many times from the clutches of my oldest brother😙. The framed painting of the Peony on the wall is an allusion to the Chinese saying “屁股开花/The Blossoming Butt”, which is a household punishment used by many Chinese parents on their kids for misbehaving😐

‪Here is the first out of two pieces I did for a gallery show at work! The kid with glasses is my oldest brother @vincelee777 😚 I also have another brother and a younger sister I want to include in my work someday.

Part of a side project I’ve been working on for a while. I’ll probably keep messing with this to see where it goes!
