when i was a teen everyone was like oh you'll outgrow the social anxiety and i was like hm ya ok i guess i probably will. and guess what did not happen

it's kind of cultural tbh. growing up in my family talking about how bad something sucks was a way of bonding and having fun. kvetching. i recognize that it is sometimes not kind or good for us. but i think there's a place for it. maybe people don't realize the lightheartedness of it.
