Marriage Is Not a Game… It’s a Responsibility 🤍

It’s strange how casually people speak about marriage today…

While scholars like Imam al-Nawawi (RA) feared it -

not because they rejected it…

but because they understood it.

They understood the weight of rights.

The accountability before Allah.

The responsibility of a zawjah (Wife).

💭 A Reality Check:

Some speak about 2, 3, 4 wives…

as if it’s a game.

But they forget…

Justice is not optional.

Responsibility is not light.

And Zulm is not small in the sight of Allah.

🌿 The Difference Is Mindset:

It’s not that the past was perfect…

and today is careless.

It’s that understanding has become shallow.

Marriage is not just love…

It is amanah.

It is accountability.

It is Abadah.

💍 What Marriage Really Requires

If you truly understand marriage…

you don’t run away from it.

You prepare for it.

With:

▪️ Maturity

▪️ Commitment

▪️ Sincerity (Ikhlas)

▪️ Respect

▪️ Fairness

▪️ Patience

▪️ Taqwa

“They are clothing for you, and you are clothing for them.” (Qur’ān 2:187)

Marriage is a bond of love, trust, and protection. As a spouse, it is your duty to stand up for your partner and never allow anyone i.e. be it your family, friends, or society to mock, belittle, or put them down, whether in jokes or otherwise.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of you are those who are best to their wives, and I am the best among you to my wives.” (Tirmidhi 3895, Sahih)

Defend your spouse’s dignity,

uplift them in public and private, and ensure they feel valued and respected.

A strong marriage flourishes when both partners protect each other’s honor.
