“Sadly, I don’t think there’s been a Czar-spotting yet.” A boy could dream. “Is there anyone here that meets your standards?”

“no czass? How did you survive” she jokes. She thinks for a second before shaking her head  “No. Of course not. The last party you guys had was a botched wedding. Does it sound like the life for me?”

“I mean, the house is beautiful, sure, but where’s your pool?” @yiseonhye​

“Pools? Are you talking about those things shared between like 17 houses?” she makes a face “Gross. If you want to see the russian czar’s wet bony ass thats on you. I have standards.”

“Alright then, my apologies. If not lost then… taking the scenic route.” He folded his arms against his chest, the smile still on his lips. “Can’t say I’ve ever been called Columbo, Sherlock Holmes seems more apt.” Andrew let out a laugh. “I’m kidding. But smartass is something I’ve been called often. As for the matching fountain…” He ran a hand through his hair. “I dare say it’s over in that general direction.”

“I have one but I don’t like using it. I feel like it slows me down,” the words curdled on her lips in retrospect to how slowly she hobbled. Helena exhaled with a feigned confidence. SeonHye’s wildly blossoming mischief never failed to bring her back to the days they met. It was always an adventure whenever the two had the pleasure to share a space. “I usually frown on my friends drooling over Miguel but it wouldn’t be the first who dated him. Let me know what kind of rings you like,” she choked out with a chiding bit of laughter. “We should call him,” she plucked her phone out of her pocket and held out to SeonHye. 

“He’s in my favorites. He may feel obligated to come if you lay it on thick that my foot is hurting.” 

Seonhye looked back at her friend for a second. The raised eyebrow didn’t so much propose a question as showed her judging disappointment in Helena’s choices. “ and who would want that.” she finally replied. At the word date her whole face morphs into clear disgust “ew - sorry to have to be the one to break it to you. But your brother is the most boring person.” blink “In the world.” blink “Possibly ever.” she added. 

She grabbed the phone anyways humming as she went through the various contacts - not so much looking for Helena’s brother but seeing who else she might want to call as well “I just have eyes.”

“three entire days! my god, i thought i would have to shave my entire head after two whole nights without conditioner.” she groaned loudly, quite happy to focus on haircare instead of mortality. it was a topic she might delve into later with her therapist, not with her favourite sister. “my facialist had a fucking field day, and my masseuse spent an extra fifteen minutes — a day! — on my shoulders. i’ll look like a fucking quarterback without her!” dahye scrutinised her sister’s features with a careful gaze, stopping at every nonexistent blemish. if there was anything to be thankful for, it was that none of her family was nowhere near that island with her. “where did you fly in from? have you been eating enough?” 

“I mean, yes.” He mused, a smile tugging at his lips as he looked the other over. “Earlier today. The question is, have you seen that fountain before? Because, and pardon me if I misspeak, you seem rather lost.” Andrew wasn’t much better at directions, but he’d always managed to figure things out eventually.

“Seonhye please slow down,” she called out. “I can’t keep up with you on a good day but you’re zooming through this square at an increased speed for a woman with a broken foot.” Helena leaned on one of the nicely kept pillars to suck in a breath. She held in her laughter at the way Seonhye attempted to flag someone dowm.

“my baby!” she half-shrieked, arms stretched out wide and beckoning frantically for her little sister to come closer. “oh you’ve come to see me— thank god! i thought i’ll never see you again…” dahye was propped up by a cacophony of silk pillows upon the chaise, a bottle of wine just at arm’s reach. “for once i’m glad you weren’t with me.” ( @yiseonhye​​ )
