Buster The Boxer
John Lewis Christmas Advert 2016
âGift that everyone will loveâ. One simple headline that sums up the meaning of the campaign with a easy hashtag, equals a great ad. John Lewisâ is by far the most touching holiday ad of the year 2016. Itâs one of those touching ads that you wouldnât know ( or guessed wrong) what itâs really selling until the last minutes, yet it was so touching thereby you remember the brand and products without actually seeing it. Simple brilliant.
Apple ad is back!
Apple has always been the lead of trend in the tech world, as well as in the ad world. Along with their iPhone 7 releases, they are coming back with the most simple yet beautiful campaign! The 60 seconds ad was on-point, showing off new function of the phone, at the same time showing life style and passion that connects with users. Welcome back, Apple.

Advertising Food Tricks
As art directors, itâs well known that advertised foods rarely look exactly like the real food theyâre selling. In fact, a number of sites around the web have pointed out just how false food advertising can be. Here are a few tricks to make your standout in advertising photo shoots!
1. GLUE
Real milk tends to make breakfast cereal soggy and rather unappetizing in pretty short order. You know what doesnât do that? White glue. Yogurt or shampoo have also been known to do the trick.
2. SPONGES, COTTON BALLS & TAMPONS
Itâs important for hot foods to look hot. The way to do that is to show steam billowing off. Instead of stopping every few shots to nuke the staged food, photographers will often soak one of these items in water, microwave it, and skillfully hide it in the shot.
4. HAIRSPRAY & SPRAY-ON DEODORANT
That ripe, delicious bunch of grapes you see in that ad have that matte look to them because theyâre coated in a healthy amount of one of these grocery store spray can staples.
5. GLYCERIN
If a product is cold or icy, you can bet the version in the TV commercial is covered in glycerin. The substance is used as a sort of catch-all on food shoots to provide gloss and sheen, or give the appearance of moisture on everything from a beer bottle to the leaves of a salad.
6. ANTACID & SOAP BUBBLES
Soda doesnât look so crisp and refreshing without an overabundance of bubbles. A little antacid tablet typically gets the stuff churning and bubbling. Dish soap can be used for creating larger surface bubbles.
Customer behaviour and characteristics trends 2016
'What's New?', 'What's Hot?' and 'What's Next?' are some of the most common questions I get asked through the year when I'm speaking at events or training.
As marketers plan ahead for where to invest their marketing budgets in the year ahead, interest in the latest innovations and trends increases yet more, so for the last few years, I've reviewed future opportunities from different angles, for example, here are the digital transformation and marketing integration trends in 2016. We've also looked specifically at the top eCommerce trends for 2017, which do over-lap with general marketing trends but have important differences.
The interest in trends and new marketing opportunities is no surprise, since when thinking about how to get the most from digital marketing, there are so many new platform changes from the likes of Apple, Google, Facebook and LinkedIn that influence the latest trends. To give just one example, as I write this, Google announced a new mobile Shop The Look AdWords feature which retailers in that sector will need to review and implement.
Changing the concept of vintage shopping.
A whole new concept of Vintage store has arrived in San Francisco! In the modern days, vintage items shopping around all base in luck. Well brand new vintage stop name the âHuntâ just might change that concept. All vintage items are rare and one of a kind, yet the store will HUNT for the type of items that you are looking for, and shipping it directly to your house!Â
You can just tell the store any vintage object you wish to buy with a budget, they will go hunt the items for you. A teapot with wings, a golden typewriter, or a pair of green socks. Itâs just that easy. Let your imagination go wild.

What it looks like and how it works.
Chanel is a premium French fashion label that is recognized in the international market as abrand that specializes in fashionable accessories, luxury goods and expensive ready-to-wear clothes. It caters to the rich and famous elite class that can afford it easily. Gabrielle Chanel founded this private company Chanel in the year 1909. Her aim was to make something special with rare materials and with creativity for a woman and today the brand name is associated with very high quality.
The clothesline is easily distinguishable by the feel, the touch and the smoothness of the exquisite material. The attention given to the minute details is amazing and awe-inspiring. People buy Chanel products because of the distinctive personality of the brand. Individuals who have genuine appreciation for something exclusive can go no further than the desirable and excellent products of Chanel. The company has many rivals who keep it on its toes. Some of its fierce competitors are as follows
The best, yet.
Here are some of the best print ads this year. I will skip all the title for these ads because they are so successful that we could understand the message and know the brand the second we see them. With a few more months till the end of the year, let see which ones you found interesting and would win on AdWeek!
Wieden+Kennedy London were tasked with raising the profile of Chambord among a target audience of women aged 24-35. They used the campaign to push back against the pressure on women to conform to certain rules with their "Because No Reason" tagline that says encourages people to do what they like, just because they like it.
The meaning of the tagline "See whatever you want to see" is smartly turned on its head with a series of images that can be seen in two ways: one way it's a deer, the other way it's a penguin.Â

Warc 100 has chosen the marketing campaigns from more than 2,000 winners of effectiveness and other marketing excellence awards from around the world. They select campaigns based on:
Marketing that makes a difference, driving business performance or changing consumer behaviour.
Commercial creativity, allowing brands and agencies to compare their performance with their peers.
Most effective marketing, and the people and organisations behind them.
5. Under Armour â I Will What I Want
Droga5, the famous independent advertising agency, launched the second phase of the âI Will What I Wantâ campaign, featuring supermodel Gisele BĂźndchen.
4. Coca Cola â Share a Coke
Coca-Cola swapped their logo with popular names, so you could Share a Coke with the people who matter to you most. This creative marketing campaign found the sweet spot by making consumers famous through the most iconic brand in the world.
3. Newcastle Brown Ale â If We Made It
When Newcastle couldnât afford (chose not to produce) an actual big game spot, Droga5 pulled out all the stops to show the world the ad Newcastle would have made, if they could have. Obviously, Droga5 is sufficiently skilled in creating the best campaigns in the World!
2. Volvo â Live Test Series
Volvo Trucks is very much a B2B brand and some might say this sector rarely produces highly creative campaigns. However, Volvo proved them wrong with a great example of imaginative B2B marketing campaign.
1. Always â #LikeAGirl
Alwaysâ âLike a Girlâ campaign, created by Leo Burnett, points out that the images of women in the standard Unicode emoji set are too stereotypical.
Trends that worked, and the builders behind them
1. Advertising in Newsroom
To be an authority on your topic, youâve got to know it inside and out. At Mattermark, which collects and organizes information on the worldâs fastest growing companies, CEO Danielle Morrill takes authority one step further: The company basically set up a small, independent newsroom within the team, producing reporting and analysis on financial trends, the venture capital space, startups and more.Â
2. Follow the big data
No slide deck is more anticipated every year than Mary Meekerâs giant analysis of digital trends from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. In the 2016 Internet Trends Report, Meeker breaks down why Snapchat video marketing works, what motivates Millennials and so much more.
3. Bring More Fun to Newsletter
4. Surprise Videos
While most brandâs April Fools Day jokes are forgotten within 24 hours, Hamburger Helper produced an April 1st âprankâ thatâs a cut above: a shockingly good mixtape called Watch the Stove. The project started as a Twitter joke, but after General Mills enlisted music veteran Toki Wright and the students at McNally Smith College of Music, the project took on new heftâand then took the Internet by storm.
5. Facebook videos
Youâve seen them on Facebook: Quick, mouthwatering recipes that you experience from beginning to end over the course of 30 seconds to a minute (sound optional!). The source is often Gauthierâs project Tasty, a year-old pilot from BuzzFeed that has amassed more than 62 million Facebook fans (and taken over your feed). BuzzFeed followed up Tastyâs success with TastyJunior as well as Nifty, a hacks and DIY site with an even bigger following.
6. Arts and crafts on Snapchat
Far beyond selfies and landscapes, Soul Pancake is turning Snapchat into a true hub of creativity and community. On the day I wrote this, snaps focused on creating a doodle self-portrait and featured tons of community examples. Even better, lots of their coolest experiments are on YouTube in case you missed them on Snapchat.
Top 4 Advertising Trends
The online marketing industry is complex and volatile, but an exciting one for anybody who stays up on modern trends and be successful using social media platforms. Hereâs are 7 online advertising marketing trend in 2016.
1. VIDEO AD:Â 2016 is set to be different because Google is finally getting on board with in-SERP video advertising. Itâs a sign that users are becoming more accepting of video ads online, thereby the possibilities are virtually limitless. Social channels like YouTube (now own by Google), Facebook and Bing are now dedicated to hosting billions of videos and advertising platforms.
2. MOBILE APP: We released the âMobilegeddonâ algorithm update to phase out sites not optimized for mobile on 2015, which was a big hit. Apps on everyoneâs phone will completely dominate desktop by the end of the year. Google and big investors are banking on desktop traffic fading away, meaning the smart money rests on mobile-focused online marketing and in-app purchasing.
3. DIGITAL ASSISTANT: Search engine optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising are two highly popular strategies for getting your site seen by thousands of previously unknown visitors. Digital assistants like Siri and Cortana do utilize traditional search engines, bring our search feeling closer, easier and faster than ever.
4. VIRTUAL REALITY: This will be the next âitâ thing of in all industry. There are dozens of different virtual reality devices set to release in the next few years, some of which are dedicated for specific applications like video games, and others which are available for general use. Oculus Rift, arguably the most hyped VR device, is set to release in the first quarter of 2016.Â
Keeping Up with the KardashiansâŹâŹ has been STOP!

1. Cats in London Tube Station
The London Tube Station is taken over by 68+ cats and it has been all over social media posts. Why is it so affective? James Turner, the founder, explains that this is because "use the power of creativity for good.â It all begins with the launch of a Kickstarter campaign call C.A.T.S., featuring cats from the U.K.âs biggest welfare charity. Â "My aim is to bring the activitist mentality to creativity," the founder said. "We're keen to tap into the creative industries, and ultimately bring creativity to causes."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2j2-DqcPfM

The title of the video is short and easy to remember and also matches the âcoming backâ T-Rex trend.

Like like a San Francisco artist
The day began when neighborâs skinny white cat sneaked into my window in the warm afternoon from the escape stairs and pushed over a pot of succulents. That was when all the traffic sounds and hooking flowed into my eat, made me decide to head across the street for a cup of Blue Bottle coffee. The caffeine quickly woke me. As I rush into the Uber heading toward Mission, my girl friend already got seated int the Craftman and Wolves with two orders of their signature Rebel within muffin.
As our stomach being filled, we began to crave for some new art exhibit. Obviously the new remodeled SF MOMA were our first options. All seven floors of exhibit was mind blowing and of course Instagram-blowing as well. We were so obsessed with their outdoor sculpture garden exhibit, as the museum announced its closing time It was only 5pm, so Haight Street Asbury were our best bet to kill time with some vintage fashion shopping. The night truly began when we got the AQ restaurant for dinner then bar hopping in Divisadero Street. Homework time started afterward from 2am to 6am because inspiration came in the most wild way during dawn. 6:30am would be the best hours to go to Twin Peaks to see the sunrise with a blanket and a hot cup of white tea. Hope youâd join the city life as much as we did!
