People on social media being like that's not the Barry I know. Like Barry hadn't killed his marine friend and Gene's girlfriend Janice just to keep his own ass out of prison in season one and went on a rage fueled killing spree in season two. Not to mention all of the people he had no problem murdering for money before he decided he wanted a normal life.

I’m not saying you can’t like her but it’s just weird that ppl suddenly think she’s some mc or she’ll get her own book. She’s a side character with no indication that she’ll become more.

bro its not weird, its literally how fandom works. ppl like characters no matter how small and underdeveloped they are and hope for more. there's no reason to think she absolutely wont get her own book at some point just bc rn she's a minor character whose only been in one book. the idea of cassian getting his own book back when acotar was published was also a ridiculous concept but wow, the author knew what she was doing and developed his character more to the point where it eventually made sense.

main characters of books aren't chosen based off of longevity, they're chosen based off of how they're able to serve and further the overarching plot. otherwise i'm pissed bc where is tamlain's book since he's been around longer than almost everyone.
