Ambil perhatian bahawa āKUL VIPā di situ menandakan ianya dihantar oleh orang yang diupah dengan kontrak secara peribadi oleh pihak J&T di Kuala Lumpur untuk membuat penghantaran bagi pihak mereka, kerana jumlah bungkusan meningkat mendadak ketika wabak ini kerana orang ramai bertukar kepada pembelian dalam talian.
Tanggapan Pertama
PC tersebut sebenarnya bersih semasa saya menerimanya, bermakna ianya memang komputer diperbaharui (refurbished) yang SEBENAR, bukan seperti sesetengah penjual yang kata mereka jual komputer diperbaharui tetapi langsung tidak membersihkannya. Kalau ada orang yang tidak tahu, barangan yang diperbaharui mestilah bersih seperti baharu bukan seperti barangan terpakai lain yang biasa.
Jenis yang sampai sama seperti apa yang saya pilih semasa memesan, pemprosesan i5 generasi keempat, ingatan RAM berkapasiti 8GB, pemacu HDD berkapasiti 500GB. Saya pilih pemacu HDD kerana saya sudah pun mempunyai pemacu SSD daripada komputer riba (laptop) yang telah mati yang boleh digunakan semula, jadi pemacu HDD tersebut ditukar menjadi ruangan simpanan tambahan. Ingatan RAM dipilih berkapasiti 8GB kerana itu jumlah ingatan RAM paling rendah yang saya rasa selesa untuk gunakan, bercakap dari pengalaman kerana laptop saya yang dah mati dahulunya didatangkan dengan ingatan RAM berkapasiti 4GB dan saya menatarnya ke kapasiti 8GB selepas tiga tahun kerana saya tidak tahan penggunaan ingatan RAM seringkali mencapai tahap maksimum. Laptop tersebut telah mati pada Januari 2020 selepas enam (6) tahun berjasa dan sebab itu saya menyimpan bajet untuk membeli PC ini. PC ini berfungsi dengan sangat baik untuk apa yang saya lakukan!

Dari sini saya dapat lihat adanya empat (4) slot ingatan RAM, dua (2) daripadanya diisi dengan dua (2) keping kayu ingatan DDR3 berkapasiti 4GB. Saya juga nampak ada sebuah port SATA yang kosong:
Dan kemudiannya kita nampak slot pengembangan, satunya slot PCIE x4 manakala yang lainnya slot PCIE x16:
Saya sedang menyimpan lebih banyak duit untuk membeli kad wayarles untuk diletakkan di slot PCIE x4 tersebut dan juga kad grafik khusus berprofil rendah untuk diletakkan di slot PCIE x16 tersebut.
Saya memasang semula kesemuanya lalu butkannya semula:

Kemudian saya letakkannya di tempat yang dikhususkan untuknya, dan ambil video ini. Ini rupanya sekarang, dengar bunyi pemacu DVD dan pemacu HDD tersebut bermula, lihat logo pembutan tersebut, dan lihat semua sambungan kabel yang saya pasang ke PC di bahagian belakangnya, lihat juga penggunaan CPU, RAM dan pemproses grafik bersepadu:

Saya juga membeli beberapa barang lain yang saya akan ulaskan secara berasingan, tetapi secara asasnya:
Saya beli pemisah kuasa SATA untuk memisahkan kuasa SATA yang sedang memberi kuasa kepada pemacu HDD untuk turut memberi kuasa kepada pemacu SSD saya sendiri
Saya beli kabel data SATA kerana saya tidak mempunyainya untuk pemacu SSD kerana pemacu tersebut dahulunya dipasang terus ke dalam laptop
Saya ubah sambungan ke pemacu DVD dari slot SATA1 ke SATA2
Saya ubah sambungan ke pemacu HDD dari slot SATA0 ke SATA1
Saya sambungkan kabel baharu dari slot SATA0 ke pemacu SSD saya sendiri
Saya beli kad wayarles supaya saya mampu menggunakan Wi-Fi di PC tersebut
Saya berharap kini saya mampu lakukan kebanyakan perkara yang saya tidak mampu buat selepas kematian laptop tersebut. Saya sudah memasangkanapa yang perlu untuk diri sendiri dan telah membuat beberapa pengubahsuaian terhadap sistem.
I bought the PC after saving up for around 6 months by doing small freelance and commissions and receiving donations for my contributions to open source software-related activities. The PC was discounted when I bought it, so I paidĀ RM568.00 for the PC itself, then the shipping cost me RM7.21 on J&T Express, which is the most reliable courier for my area (the worst in the area is PosLaju).

Note thatĀ āKUL VIPā is basically private runner in Kuala Lumpur contracted by J&T to send parcels on their behalf, because the amount of parcels has increased significantly during the pandemic as people shifted to buying online.
First impression
The PC is actually clean when I received, so this is a REAL refurbish, not like other seller who claim to refurbish but didn't bother to clean it. In case people donāt realize, refurbish items must be cleaned unlike normal 2nd hand item.
The variation arrived is exactly as what I selected in order, 4th gen i5, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD. I choose HDD because I already have SSD from the dead laptop that I can reuse, so the HDD is converted to additional storage space. 8GB RAM because that is the lowest amount of RAM that Iām comfortable using, speaking from experience from before as my dead laptop was 4GB RAM and I upgraded to 8GB RAM there after 3 years because I canāt bear with the RAM hitting maximum usage. The laptop was dead in January 2020 after 6 years serving me and thatās why Iām saving up to buy this PC. This PC works great for what Iām doing!

I actually test it right away to ensure all are good, and then I open to see the inside:
As I want to see the underneath, I also take out the DVD drive and HDD:
From here I can see that there are 4 slots of RAMs, 2 is currently in used by the 2 x 4GB DDR3 sticks. I can also see the SATA ports having one vacant:
And then we can see the expansion slots, one is PCIE x4 slot and the other is PCIE x16 slot:
Iām saving more money to buy some wireless card to put at that PCIE x4 slot and to buy a dedicated low-profile graphics card to put at that PCIE x16 slot.
I put it all back together and boot it up again:

I then put it into the place, and take this video. This is how it looks like now, hear that sound of DVD and HDD startup, see the booting logo, and all the cable connections I had to the PC at the back side, also see the CPU, RAM and integrated graphics processor usage:
What I did next?
I also bought a few other stuff which I will review separately, but basically:
I bought a SATA power splitter to split the only SATA power that is powering the HDD to also power my own SSD
I bought a SATA data cable since I donāt have one for my SSD as it was from the dead laptop
I moved the DVD from SATA1 to SATA2 slot
I moved the HDD from SATA0 to SATA1 slot
I connect the new cable from SATA0 slot to my own SSD
I bought a wireless card so that I can use Wi-Fi on the PC
I hope I can now do most stuff that I was not able to do after the death of the laptop. Iāve since installed whatās necessary for myself and been doing many modifications to the system.

The previous charging cable for my phone was no longer working good enough, where it will drop the fast charge when positioned in certain ways and it gets annoying. On top of that, I was looking for a way to connect the 2.5mm plug end of the scammed(?) microphone combo cable to my 3.5mm headphone jack on my headphone (explained later in this post), and this was the store that sell such cable adapter so I decide to order from this store, and adding few more items that could be useful for me to make the shipping worth since itās from Sarawak and expecting it to take longer than usual, since Sabah and Sarawak have their own custom clearance even if itās still in the country.
All of the items combined costed me RM22.00 in total, and the shipping is actually RM8.48 but Shopee applied shipping coupon of RM4.66 so the actual cost I paid for shipping was RM3.82. I choose J&T because it is the most reliable courier service for my area.

First Impressions
I actually expect it to take at least 7 days to receive since itās shipping from Sarawak which have their own custom and immigration etc despite being in the same country, so receiving it in 4 days is actually very good. Here is the package:
I took out everything from the package, it looks like the items are separately wrapped in the bubble wrap and thereās no actual support (like cardboard etc) but I guess itās fine since the items ordered are not delicate anyway.
I then take the items out of their bubble wrappings. Looks like the cable adapter was not even in any sort of plastic, itās just placed directly in the bubble wrap.
From here on, letās look into each of the items, from top left onwards.
3.5 inch bracket mount for 2.5 inch hard disk
The name listed for this item was āHard Disk Holder HDD SSD Bracket Holder 2.5 to 3.5 Mounting Free Screwā. The actual reason I bought this was that I'm saving up to buy a PC sometime later and I mightĀ need this to mount my 2.5 inch hard disk from the dead laptop to the PC, since Iām expecting that PC will only have 3.5 inch disk bay. The price of the bracket is RM3.50.
Nothing fancy here, itās just a holder. It comes with screw so thatās a plus. I tried to just screw the HDD in advance on the bracket holder:
Adjustable smartphone stand
The name listed for this item was āMulti-function adjustable plastic desktop stand folding mobile phone bracketā. The reason I choose to buy this is because I wanted something to hold my phone when Iām watching video, and also to put my phone to charge wirelessly as I have the bare internal of wireless charger that I get for free from China before. It fits both of my hand-me-down smartphones. The price of the stand is RM3.00.

DVI-D 24+1 Dual Link Plug to HDMI JackĀ Adapter
The name listed for this item was āDVI 24+1 DVI-D Dual Link Male to HDMI Female Converter Adapterā. The reason I choose to buy this is because I wanted to try connecting my older phablet and see if I can get that displayed on my monitor. The phablet has MHL feature and the usual MHL output is an HDMI signal, which should be compatible with DVI signal. Since the monitor is quite old, as it was already a refurbished monitor back then when I bought it, the monitor doesnāt have an HDMI input, but it has DVI input alongside VGA and DP. The price of the adapter is RM5.00.
I tried it that way but it seemed like the monitor doesnāt like the signal from the phone. The image only appear for a short while before blanking to black screen. Most probably the HDMI signal is encrypted, or maybe itās the MHL output not having correct power to render the image. The adapter itself is not at fault here because what this type of passive adapter does is just reroute the wiring.

Micro USB Braided Data and Charging Cable
The name listed for this item was āUSAMS 5V 2A Cable U26 Micro USB Braided Data and Charging Cable 1.2Mā. The previous charging cable for my phone was no longer working good enough, where it will drop the fast charge when positioned in certain ways and it gets annoying. Because of that I go on to find new cable. I choose this one as itās kinda cheap while claimed to be braided instead of just rubber.
The cable came inside a plastic capsule. The price stated and the amount I paid was RM8.00, though the sticker on the packaging itself wrote RM15.00. It works perfectly, it is fast charging my phone, and the small light make it easier to find in the dark.

3.5mm plug to 2.5mm jack audio cable adapter
The name listed for this item was ā3.5mm Male To 2.5mm Female Stereo Jack Audio Cable Adapter For Phone MP3 iPod PC (B603)ā. I was looking for a way to connect the 2.5mm plug end of the scammed microphone combo cable to my 3.5mm headphone jack on my headphone, and this was the store that sell such cable adapter so I decide to order from this store. The price of the adapter is RM2.50.
What I mean by scammed was that, back when I ordered it, I thought it will have 3.5mm plug on both side, one plug is to connect to the phoneās audio jack and the other plug is to connect to the headphoneās audio jack. What I received had 3.5mm plug to connect to the phone but the other side was 2.5mm plug instead to connect to a headphone. Instead of throwing away, since I do need the inline microphone, I order this adapter so that I could still use that scammed cable. I connect that scammed cableās 2.5mm plug to the 3.5mm jack of the adapter, and then connect the 3.5mm jack of the adapter to my headphoneās 3.5mm jack.
It donāt actually work correctly, most probably because of the pin proportions. I donāt know if the scammed cable uses different connection than what the adapter was expecting or if it was because the adapter is for pure speaker / headphone connection while the scammed cable plug still had microphone connection as well despite it already having its own microphone inline. The result was sometimes only one side is working, while the other time itās stereo mixed down to mono, both left and right signal is sent to both side on the headphone.

For me, Iām satisfied with this order. I will buy again if there is any need, though I will still prioritized buying from peninsular side because it wouldnāt take too long to ship out that way.
