Yautja Apologist

I really need to make a tag for him so I can easily find all the posts I've made lol.

Rh'ex is on the young side for a yautja. They live for a thousand years and I think Rh'ex is probably only a hundred to two hundred years old. Young adult, basically just getting started in his career as a scientist. He is supposed to be an expert on humans for other yautja to consult before making contact with humans. He is knowledgeable about their culture and biology, so that he can help guide other yautja when they visit Earth.

Given the nature of most yautja interactions with humans, they don't usually have live specimens for Rh'ex to study, so his knowledge and experience is very limited to studying biology from cadavers and studying human behavior from afar.

But being the giant fucking nerd he is, when Rh'ex has a chance to study a real life human person up close, he goes for it. And that is the basis for the story I'm attempting to write.

I'm still working on developing Rh'ex as a character, so his personality and aspirations are still forming in my head. Overall, Rh'ex is extremely curious by nature. He wants to learn anything and everything he can, especially about humans.

What if Yautja shed like lizards? So you just start seeing their ‘skin’ falling off and you think they’re dying.

And the yautja’s just like “…. your species doesn’t shed?”
