He smiled so many times this episode (Ceruledge - Ceruledge - Liko, Zirc, Onia)

And of course, like everyone thought, we got the cave scene but mirrored

When Ceruledge and Charcadet battled, and it really showed Amethio’s black and white thinking, on 1 the battle: “there’s no point, I’m gonna win, Ceruledge is stronger” (which he was right, he did win, but still)(also not exact words) and 2 about the whole Spinel situation: “there’s nothing I can do”

I’m really glad Liko managed to convince him otherwise

I also kind of wish they hugged and/or amethio smiled at just her but you know beggars can’t be choosers

Hamber crying when he found out Amethio was alive broke me they are so father son(get out of here Crave I still don’t like you)

Also his mom’s name is Maria… she sounded so sweet in the episode I hope we get more flashbacks of her

Horizons throwing us Ameliko shippers a bone(thank you horizons)

Also just want to mentioned I take it back from one of my previous posts he doesn’t actually look that bulky in the show they did a good job I am actually really pleased with his design<33

T-SHIRT AME NEXT EPISODE!!! Very excited for the beach ep (anyone notice in his timeskip he doesn’t have his gloves?? Where did they go bro)(not complaining tho)

I saw this summary on Twitter and from the looks of it, the cave and the beach are at the same place(would make sense why Ludlow is there) so I hope he joins them for some beach activities, or at least eats with Liko and gang

I’ll make a separate post about next ep though just wanted to lightly touch on it here since it’s amethio-related

Man oh man, it’s glad to have Ame back, and from the looks of it, if things continue like they’re gonna next ep, we’ll have a little snippet of what he’s doing at the end of each episode like how it was in season 1

Been thinking of what Hamber said in HZ092

The last line makes me think, at least in Hamber’s eyes, that Amethio is the world’s last hope

Finding Amethio is Zirc and Onia’s most dire objective, because Amethio is the only one who can stop Spinel

Why isn’t the trio(+Ult kinda but not really) as capable as Amethio to stop Spinel? They were at Rakua too, and saw first hand what it can do and what Spinels motives are

Because not only was Amethio at Rakua, he’s Spinel’s coworker.

In HZ083, we learned that Hamber trained all of the admins, omit Spinel. He was a prodigy researcher of Exceed that Gibeon hand picked. Meaning, Amethio has most likely been around Spinel for practically his whole life(Crave, his father, being the former president of Exceed and all) and would know him best

Amethio practically knows the ins and outs of Spinel. How he works. His Pokemon. Battle style. Etc..

He knows Exceed, info about the explorers our main cast does not

I predict Hamber is banking on Amethio becoming some sort of mole, in a sense, of the Explorers

It’s clear Amethio wants to do the right thing. He actually WANTS to help people and Pokémon, and he’s not afraid to collaborate with Liko(and the RVT) to do so, as seen in HZ089. Though at first he tried to charge in alone and recklessly when fighting Zygarde, he did listen to Liko’s reprimand and worked with the trio

Especially Liko.

Not to get all Ameliko here, but it’s clear she’s one of the only people he trusts(I.E: Onia, Zirc, Hamber(to an extent), Gibeon(but he’s dead so it doesn’t really matter) and Liko). He opened up to her in “Amethio and Liko”

In any case, I feel Hamber wants Amethio to team up with the RVT, and that he is the key to stopping Spinel, with the support of Liko and Friends ™

Wow, okay, I’ve been pretty silent for a while, just didn’t know how to proceed with all that happened at the end of horizons and then Mega Voltage, but this has been brewing in my head for like a week so

Amethio. Is presumed dead?? Hello??? What!!!

I don’t believe he is, but he’s at least been missing for a full year(right before the timeskip to now)

I want to know HOW he went missing, especially because when we last saw him, he was flying off with Zirc and Onia, then apparently they don’t know where he is? Nor did they speak to Hamber for a full year? Help

Personally, I feel like Spinel did something to make him “disappear” after ep 89

Now stay with me here, I’ve had a sort of AU brewing in my head since about a bit over a year ago that I’ve never posted about, and horizons has basically followed the basic outline of it

Right when Spinel was introduced, I thought he was gonna try and kill Amethio, then he did(trapping him in that cave with Liko)(personally I though he was gonna try and stab him, but that’s a bit too dark for Pokemon I suppose)

Then I headcannoned him to change sides and side with Liko, and be at the Rakua to stop Spinel, and look at what happened(I had him more involved with it in the AU, but yet again, I’ve never posted about it, so I have no proof of that😭)

In any case, all this to say, if it continues to follow the outline of my AU/predictions for the series, I think Spinel is experimenting on Amethio

Stay with me again here, but why would Spinel make a cover story for Amethio’s disappearance unless he had a direct involvement with it?

I don’t believe Amethio would just run away like that, especially after being so touched by his grandfather’s words and actions before he died(giving Amethio his will and entrusting him to better the lives of people and pokemon), nor would he WILLINGLY hand over his position to someone like Spinel

I believe Spinel’s keeping him locked up somewhere in the Rakua, or maybe an Exceed laboratory, and testing the effects of the Rakurium on him

Spinel has always shown an interest in studying the Rakurium, even without the direct orders of Gibeon, even going so far to use it on his own Pokemon just to see its effects

If Spinel really wanted to inherit Gibeon’s will and better the lives of people and pokemon(which I don’t believe, but most likely he wants to make advancements in human technology through the power of the Rakurium), wouldn’t he need a human test subject to conduct said research?

And who better than his coworker he hates with every fiber of his being?

Morbid, I know, but he already tried to kill Amethio, who’s to say he won’t try and get some useful information out of our boy?

Also, Pokémon can be.. like that if they really wanted to. Take N’s whole story for example, or Lillie’s mom(in the games specifically, the anime mellowed her out sadly)

Going with this is his mom, then most of us were right in thinking that Crave was married into the family, and presumably Ame’s mom was who was bio related to Gibeon, cause she looks exactly like Gibeon

Do yall think we’ll get to know about her?? Like what happened to her? Amethio’s never mentioned her before, so I suspect she’s passed away, and judging by the giant portrait on the wall, I think that confirms it.

Also, Ame’s house tour?? Maybe? I just want to know more about him😭😭 82 episodes in and we know practically nothing about him

And god, let us know Amemom’s name, I wanna have a little more of my family tree complete

It’s be cool if we learned his grandma’s story too, and how her and Gibeon met, because in all the flashbacks we saw, he was the third wheel in the trio (haha L), there weren’t even any background characters important enough in their journey to be candidates lol

I’m just so excited about getting a Thio-centric episode after so long, last one was Amethio and Liko(which, by the way, was an absolute banger of an episode)

Oh that topic, hopefully we see the two interact with each other again soon, hopefully in HZ084, because Amethio’s definitely gonna go back into screen time jail after this episode if he’s not in the one after😭😭
