My name is Yannick Therrien, Im 28 years old, and I suffer from mental illness. From major anxiety to anger issues and depression, my life has been a rollercoaster. My dad disappeared before I was born, and my mom was working her ass off to make sure my brother and I had food on the table, while at the same time battling alcoholism. It was a fucking mess. Forward to years later, here I am, sick as hell, with a constant pressure on my chest, not being able to focus on anything. My brain is occupied by these evil thoughts most of my days. With only a 6th grade education to my name, I had to figure it out. Working random job after random job trying to make it somewhere and most importantly, trying to learn about myself, and learn how to deal with my emotions, good or bad. What I mostly learned is that I’ll be sick my whole life. And It's ok, I'll keep figuring it out. Not so long ago I felt like I had hit rock bottom, I literally could not find a reason to stay alive. It was the worst my anxiety has ever been. I reached out for help and I am now seeing a doctor and am under medication which I had been refusing for years. The medication didnt heal me.. not at all. But I do feel a little better. I feel like I control the physical aspects of my anxiety better, wich helps me relax and meditate. All that to say if you feel like fucking shit, I know what it's like. I know it doesnt just go away just because someone says "try to relax", but if you feel like most of your days are being ruinned by your own self, get help. Send me a message and we'll talk.
