It’s been a while since ZZZ showed up around here, huh? AND IT WAS SO GOOD, WAY TOO GOOD. It’s been a long time since I played through an entire ZZZ version without getting bored. This one was spectacular: tons of cutscenes and comics, practically no black screens full of text or static characters talking forever, lots of important information told in a really good way, and that ending was orgasmic, I literally had to get out of my chair from the hype, man.
Cissia and her chemistry with Billy, along with Promeia’s seriousness, completely carried the mission. It was really nice seeing both new and old characters come together and fit so naturally. My expectations are through the roof now. Roscaelifer, here we come.
Now, my opinions on the 2.0 era based on my experience:
2.0: Pretty average overall, honestly I expected more. It was the first time I felt like there was more text than gameplay. I got a bit bored because of all the black screens with nothing but dialogue, but aside from that, it was passable.
2.1: My favorite. I absolutely loved everything about it. The section inside the vents was super immersive, and I really liked the characters (I’m a Manato main).
2.2: At first I hated it. It bored me to death, I felt like I was just reading and reading and reading with barely any gameplay. The ending saved it though, the ending is amazing. Isolde is a fantastic character and her boss fight is one of my favorites in the game. Nowadays I just think it’s boring, nothing more.
2.3: I liked this one too, not enough to make a full log about it, but enough to play through the whole thing without stopping. Lucia’s story was beautiful, and Manato is god.
2.4: Meh, pretty forgettable, nothing much to say. It’s fine. I didn’t feel like there was anything especially memorable or super fun, but the characters were good, and I managed to get both of them jijijiji.
2.5: I’m a complete hater. This version almost made me drop the game. I swear to god I played for almost 7 hours and only 1 of those was actual gameplay. It was text and text and text and MORE TEXT. On top of that, I didn’t like Shunguang at all. I felt like the game was trying to force me to like her, and in my case it did the complete opposite. I didn’t even pull for her in the end because I genuinely didn’t like her. That said, the maze event was spectacular.
2.6: Same as 2.4 but less forgettable. I liked the little angels, but what really made me pull all of them was their gameplay. God, the gameplay of the three together is insanely fun.
2.7: Surprisingly, I liked it. It brought back the interest I had in the game because I was slowly starting to lose it.
2.8: SEX. So damn good, I devoured the whole thing. Perfect balance between gameplay, text, comics, and everything else. I’m really happy it turned out this good.
And that’s about it. I’m super hyped for what’s coming next. Also, tomorrow: Ellen drawing. It’s already finished, but I’m too lazy to upload it right now. I mean, it’s almost 2 a.m.
