Catelyn had been in discussion with one of the servant within the castle; a young slip of a girl, who had found herself too easily frightened by the foolish ghost stories the stable boys insisted on telling. It had taken almost half the morn to convince the girl that no ghosts hungered for her blood within these walls, and no creatures wished to take her away, and that he must return to the grounds of the castle, and that the walk back to Winterfell would allow her time to realise the foolishness of the tales.
At the sound of another voice, Catelyn turned curiously and smiled at the sight of the child.
“In some ways, but there are other joys which comes as they grow older”
"I'm sure you're right. You are a mother yourself?"
There was a kind smile offered to the woman, the girl bouncing on the blonde's arm. Lucy recognised her, had seen her around. One of the men in the inn had pointed her out to the family, had described her as..
"Lady Stark."
She quickly added the name to the end, not wanting to seem informal. How could she be so foolish? This woman was of a much higher status. She lived in the castle they stood in front of, for goodness sake.
"Forgive me, I'm not from these parts."
