Having depression is like being in an abusive relationship with yourself.
A note to my body
I am sorry.
I have cut you, hit you, and burnt you. I have shoved more food into you than you can handle, jammed my fingers down your throat, and starved you for days until all you can see is stars.
I’ve consumed too much alcohol, too many substances, and exercised you into the ground.
But what I am the most sorry for is that I can’t seem to stop… no matter how much I want to be better for you, I don’t know how to stop this self destruction.
And for that, I am truly sorry
"This sadness in you is rooting deep, it will kill you eventually."

Many people who also suffer from bpd might know what I’m talking about when I say “favourite person”. Basically it’s a person in our lives who we put so much dependency on. They have the power to completely make or break our mood. We idolize the ground they walk on, they can make us feel like we are on top of the world. But.. they can also make us feel like ending our lives over something as small as an ignored text. It’s honestly not fair to put that much pressure on one person but you just can’t help it. Whether it’s a significant other, or a friend or a family member.. they become such an important part of your life that they have the ability to control how you view yourself. My favourite person just so happens to be my boyfriend. He is incredible.. he makes me feel on top of the world. But one little change of tone.... one late reply... and I sit in my shower for hours crying, debating breaking up with him or just ending my life entirely. It’s so irrational, and overwhelming. And then once he finally answers and apologizes for not texting back because he was busy, everything is good again and I go back to wanting to spend the rest of my life with him and being the happiest girl in the world. I truly don’t understand how I can allow someone to have that much control over my life.

“The problem for me here is that the word ‘homo’ was used as an insult. That is a very, very bad culture for young people and generally for everyone who comes to a football stadium to see football (…) There’s something of a culture in elite sport, in football, which is based on being tough, keeping quiet, because that makes you a strong sportsman. But it’s not about being a strong sportsman. It’s about the culture at stadium needing to be better. It’s about ‘homosexual’ not being an insult” – F.C. København’s Viktor Fischer speaks up after having had homophobic chants directed at him by supporters of rival clubs OB and Brøndby.
