High school sweetheart - Fitz and Sebastian (closed starter)
Fitz looked at his high school ex and pressed his lips together. It was awkward but he wanted felt like he needed to talk to him. They had both gone through so much in that time. Fitz knew he was mostly the cause for their hurt. He was not in a good place back then.Â
He gulped and went to say something but then stopped himself. Seeing him again bought back so many memories. Sure there was heartbreak but he had never been so close to anyone as he was with Sebastian, in fact⌠he was his first love.Â
âWhen you lie your eye lid jumps a littleâ he told him with a smirk âI know its been a long time but I never forgot thatâ he smirked as he bent down a little and got his eye line. âYou look great, I mean itâ he chuckled âbecause I can already hear that mind of yours telling you Iâm just saying it but⌠Iâm notâ.Â
Sebastian pursed his lips, caught in his lie as he bowed slightly. âShit,â he mumbled to himself before fixing his stance. Sebastian smiled at Fitzâs compliment. It was strange for him to fall back into his past role. âThank you,â Sebastian said genuinely before speaking. âYou look great as well,â Sebastian told him. âIâm proud of you,â he added easily, not as if Fitz needed it from him. Fitz just looked so healthy though. Sebastian wanted to tell him that he saw that.
He liked that their joking had broken the ice a little and he couldnât help but laugh at Sebastian swearing. He was just as adorable as he remembered. It did feel quite natural between them, quite sweet actually. âYour welcomeâ he smiled softly. He raised his eyebrows and grinned as he looked at his feet, his long lashes fanning down as he blushed a little âwell you made me blush and weâve been talking for about 2 minutesâ he laughed. At hearing someone say they were proud of felt like a jolt moved through him. âThanksâ he looked at him in the eyes âits a journeyâ he nodded âIts urmâŚâ he looked away and back at Sebastian âI wouldnât be still here if it wasnât for you⌠and Iâm not talking about the reunionâ he smirked.Â
Wow. Things got heavier sooner than he thought. He felt his eyes well up a little and he chuckled. âThank you,â Sebastian said with a smile, his finger reaching up to pat at his waterline. âI canât take credit for that but thatâs very kind of you to say,â Sebastian insisted as he shook his head. âI see youâve already started,â Sebastian pointed out, his eyes looking at the drink in Fitzâs hand, âbut Iâd love to buy you a drink,â Sebastian declared.
Fitz wanted to embrace Sebastian, he wanted to wrap him in his arms and kiss his forehead but he couldnât. âNo I mean itâ he smiled softly âI was a nightmareâ he grinned knowing he was right. He wanted to go on but heard Sebastian talk about the drink and Fitz just shook his head. âYou donât want thisâ he politely put the drink on the side âits vileâ. He looked around and then at Sebastian âyou wanna get out of here or stay?â he asked as the room became more crowded and loud. âYou can buy me that drinkâ he smirked.Â
Sebastian looked around at the room for a moment, contemplating Fitzâs offer to ditch the reunion. If there was any reunion tonight for Sebastian, it would have been with Fitzâs anyway. What was the point in staying?
âOkay,â Sebastian said nonchalantly. âLetâs get out of here,â he agreed before turning to the door.
Fitz was pleased that Sebastian had accepted his offer. He grinned and put his glass down on the side feeling happy to rid of it. âYou remember that diner we used to go to after school, its still there you knowâ he smirked. âLets goâ he looked around and then headed for the door as he held it open for Sebastian.Â
