What are you most proud of with your writing process?
I’m most proud of how intentional my writing process has become. Instead of rushing to finish, I planned, drafted, revised, and reflected at each stage. Peer feedback played a big role in helping me see gaps in my reasoning, and I actually enjoyed revising instead of dreading it. I also paid more attention to audience needs, which changed how I structured paragraphs and transitions. This process feels transferable beyond this course, which makes it especially valuable.
Your emphasis on being intentional is an important point, because there's definitely a noticeable difference in my own writing between just trying to complete an assignment and actually writing with a purpose. I find it interesting that you started to enjoy the revision part of the writing process, I often find it difficult to get motivated during that portion of my essays. I agree that these skills can be transferred beyond this course, a lot of us will likely implement these skills in various tasks in our jobs and careers post-graduation.

Where will you adjust your essay to strengthen your point?
The key strengthening factor in each question will be the example used alongside it. In the written portion, anything can be typed, but the example shows the application and credibility of the skill. I plan to revisit all of my previous posts and pick out the example for each answer first to build a strong structure around the application. In that sense, all of the explanations will be directly linked and show a strong piece of evidence accordingly.
I like how you focused on examples in your writing because that is what makes an argument feel more "real" instead of just theoretical. Being able to show how it actually works supports writing a lot more effectively and provides credibility. Going back through your posts to look for strong examples first is smart too, I never thought about doing that.

What are you most proud of with your writing process?
With my writing process, I'm most proud to have stayed consistent on a posting schedule and remain organized when creating content. For posting, I wasn't very familiar with creating content in general, as I don't use most social media and never post. However, the practice I gained each week and applying my writing process created in the first major project has helped grow my confidence to possibly post outside of class. For staying organized within all tasks, the same process has been able to adapt with me. I've felt more established in my writing from the start, no matter what the assignment is. This has set up a successful writing foundation for this class, future MU classes, and beyond!

I like how you mentioned a correlation between consistency in writing and your confidence. I've found that with my own content, once I started writing more I got more comfortable in posting more often. I can also relate to what you said about adapting your writing process across different assignments. Being able to adapt your writing process is a strong skill set, and is something that will be used for various kinds of projects in our careers.
What I Liked Most About My Learning
What I enjoyed most about my learning in this class is expanding on my understanding of the writing process behind the final product. Now I understand the significance of drafting, feedback, and revisions when writing web content. I also think I've gotten better at thinking more critically about my own ideas instead of simply trying to meet the class requirement.

What I'm Most Proud Of With My Writing Process
I'm most proud of the effort I put into my revisions in comparison to how I used to revise papers in previous classes. In the past I would make one draft, skim for grammatical errors, and call it a day. With my content analysis paper, I actually went back and completely reworked multiple sections, adding new parts to my analysis to tie the data back to my hypothesis, and took feedback I received seriously. Instead of just editing the paper to make it sound cleaner, I changed parts of my argument to make it stronger. Instead of just writing to finish the paper, my focus has shifted to improving the quality of my writing.
What I Like About My Essay
My favorite part about my essay is the topic and the relevance in my field of interest. Looking at how an artist's face being present in the visual content of a post affects engagement on social media matters a lot in my career path. I also felt that my methods of collecting data was effective in answering the research question, strengthening the claims of the essay with the patterns found in the data. I felt I was contributing to the discussion of content strategy in music instead of simply summarizing what many already assume or know to be true.

One thing I would want advice on regarding web writing is how to effectively balance being engaging while remaining clear and informative. Most of the time, the most popular posts are the ones that are fun and relatable to the audience, but they also need to write the in a concise manner so that the audience understands the purpose of the content quickly. Do you have any advice on how to keep your audience's attention without losing the integrity of the main point of what I'm trying to say?

what did you learn about drafting across multiple weeks that will inform your writing process after college
I learned that the revising process is longer and more important than I had previously thought. Getting feedback is important for developing a better overall essay, and it helps clean up small issues throughout the process.
I agree with your point that revision is more important that it seems. I used to think that drafting consisted of writing the paper, fix a few grammatical and phrasing errors, and move on, but breaking up the multiple drafts and revisions over the course of a few weeks shows how much better the writing can improve over time. Feedback has helped me a lot too, even small comments have helped me to notice things I overlooked, especially with clarity or structure issues.

Something specific that I learned about my writing process that will help me after college is that revision and peer feedback matter so much. I feel like we always think our work is good until we take a step back and let someone see it from another perspective. Peer review was extremely helpful for my writing process. It gave me time to take a break from revising and collaborate with others and their thoughts. This process ensures that my writing is clear, well-organized, and grammatically correct. Ultimately, improving my writing process down the road.
I definitely agree with this, especially the part about thinking your work is finished until someone else takes a look at it. I've had similar experiences where everything made sense to me, but when someone else read it they pointed out sections that were too vague and needed more detail. What did you learn about your writing process that will help you after college?
I have learned that I work best when I focus on structure first and details later. When I begin with an idea of my main point (especially my research question), it becomes much easier to keep things organized and my writing focused. This helped me stay focused to avoid unintentionally writing off-topic.
I also learned that most of the enhancement happens in the revision. After writing the first draft, I realise it is too basic. That is the time when I go back and rewrite to clarify, strengthen, and connect to evidence. As I came to realize, composition is a process, not a task completed in one go, and taking time for revision will yield better results.
Using feedback is another key part of my process. The comments helped me become aware of things I wouldn’t have noticed by myself, such as when my writing was too vague. By learning to accept and act on feedback, my writing improved in precision and alignment with goals.
I've noticed a similar thing with my own writing. When I have a clear idea at the start of my writing process, everything else flows much more easily and I tend to stay more on-topic. Also, regarding your point about revision is very relatable. My first drafts are typically very basic, and the best part of the writing happens when I revisit the paper and focus on connecting the data to my main points.
Element of Content Analysis Feedback Request
I've made this same bar graph for the other 2 accounts, and one bar graph showing the difference in averages number of comments between the 2 types of posts and the 3 accounts. Is this graph too vague? Does this feel like enough data to support my research question, examining the difference a musician's face can make in the number of comments generated on an Instagram post? And should I have pulled the number of likes and shares in addition to comments? I decided to only analyze the number of comments as that type of interaction is the most time consuming to perform, so it felt like the most valuable to understand.
What I Learned About My Writing Process That Will Help After College
This project made me realize that my writing process is much more efficient and effective when I actually organize everything before I begin writing. Once I had all my data properly coded and organized with charts, the writing part felt much easier because I wasn't trying to write based solely off my own assumptions. I also learned that I need to give myself time to revise, not just writing once and calling it quits. Some of my best points weren't made in the first draft, but in the second or third. After college, I'm going to maintain a clear structure as I write and continue to revisit and rework any writing projects I may have.
What I Learned About Drafting Across Multiple Weeks
One thing this project taught me is that drafting over multiple weeks strengthens the writing, in comparison to trying to write everything within the span of a few days. Having time between drafts allowed me to revisit the paper with fresh eyes and notice things I hadn't seen before. Going forward, I think this is going to be very useful because most writing isn't one and done, especially when it comes to songwriting in the music industry field.
How are you developing style to build your argument in the content analysis?
I am trying to be more intentional about sounding academic without overcomplicating my writing. I focus on being clear and precise, especially when defining categories like aspirational and relational. Instead of just describing what I see, I connect each section back to my research question. My style is developing through consistency. Clear definitions, repeated terms, and structured headings help build the argument without me having to over explain.

Also being able to tie everything back to the research question will improve the strength of the paper, it'll help keep the purpose of the analysis without being vague and overly descriptive. I'm trying to follow this technique as well with my project, I want my analysis to be very intentional.

what does your final revision process look like?
Typically for the final revisions, I will have most of my thoughts and data laid out. This lets me get a decent amount of critic on the existing information that I will need to change for the final.
For the previous ones, it was more about getting a better understanding of the layout of the essay while the final is for actual information.
Depending on how many drafts a project requires, I will alter my "schedule."
I think your approach is effective because your perspective changes depending on the stage of the essay. It makes sense that your final draft would focus on improving the content while the early draft revisions prioritize structure. Changing your schedule depending on the amount of drafts required for a project is also smart, I try to work on my school projects in a similar manner.
How Having A Good Revision Process Will Help Beyond This Class
Being able to revise will help both in other classes and beyond college in general. Considering other classes, being able to revise properly will help organize my thoughts more effectively. Having an efficient revision process will also benefit any future jobs I hold, as I will be more capable in communicating my ideas clearly. The ability to rethink and improve upon how I say something will make a major difference beyond college, helping me to come across as more professional and intentional.
