letâs have matching burn scars with papa
I fear nobody will ever be able to match the dead stare standard criston has managed to set this season. gwayne accused him of fucking his sister and he said alicent is the Virgin Mary i keep trying to kill myself and she wonât let me. btw i hope we both die. and then he looked at him like this
á´á´É˘á´É´ á´á´Ęɢá´ĘĘá´É´: Ęá´ę°á´Ęá´ á´É´á´ á´ę°á´á´Ę á´Ęá´ ÉŞĘá´É´ á´ĘĘá´É´á´
While fans were writing about how Gwayne needed to be saved from Criston and how Criston didn't deserve him, Gwayne was desperately trying to take Criston with him.
Gwayne didn't want to be saved from Criston. He wanted to save Criston. Because the problem isn't Criston's personality, it's how broken he is by everything going on.
And yeah, I know people love joking about "toxic yaoi", but maybe I'm biased, but I just didn't see it ??? Gwayne left when he realized he couldn't save Criston, and Criston didn't try to hold Gwayne back. They're one of the few characters who actually talked and listened to each other.
It would've been toxic if their relationship destroyed them, but in the end, Gwayne left heartbroken but with big changes inside him for the better, and Criston in his final days found a purpose:
"I am the realmâs greatest warrior. And I will die as such. Clear-eyed. Unbent. Glorious in battle. And not in their service, finally. But in my own. And they will sing songs of it."
Criston found himself.

thinking about how helaena was born dead ⌠how long has she been dreaming of her own death? whether it was by her hand or rhaenyraâs. did she dream of dying with her boy? with aegon? she probably always knew sheâd never see aegon sit the iron throne again. from the beginning of season 3 she knew alicent wouldnât be with her at the end. helaena spent her life trapped in the red keep made to squeeze out heirs. alicent as much as she loved her doomed her to that life and rhaenyra was going to do it again. as much as she wanted to see aegon and her babies again there was no way out for her sheâd die on the birthing bed like rhaenyraâs mother or with her dragon like laena. death was always coming for her she just chose to meet him.
rhaenyra is a glaring racist. she vocally supports valyrian eugenics/supremacy and this is treated as a good thing. she literally thinks she is a GOD because of her race and uses religion as a weapon by distorting its message. she sexually assaults a lowborn brown man (very clearly immigrant coded) and this is supposed to a moment of 'liberation' because it is supposedly feminist. she uses mysaria for her pleasure and then discards her once she has a voice of her own. she believes herself better than the velaryons, even though they are of the same descent. in the book, she tries to get a black teenager killed because her husband can't contain his attraction to minors. and this is the 'queen'
and she quite literally says her half siblings as unable to fulfill the prophecy because their mother isnât valyrian, and dismisses them as âthe hightower lineâ. she also kills her distant relatives in the red sowing and mistreats the dragonseeds, denying them basic freedoms, denies the velaryons of hull their fatherâs name, and blames her step daughter for her sonâs choices.
criston cole is not an incel. he desperately wants to be celibate. unfortunately for him, he's just too hot. everyone wants him.
itâs really fucking aggravating how nobody can be a victim but rhaenyra. alicent is too complicit and thatâs all sheâll ever be, despite doing everything rhaenyra asks this season. baela and helaena should be grateful to their Supreme Leader instead of having autonomy and pushing back at her knowing sheâs the reason why their families have been harmed or, worse, murdered. mysaria should feel comforted knowing she was used for her body one last time before being exiled because at least she got gold like the whore she always was. but rhaenyra having men hold helaena down to force feed her? thatâs kindness 𼺠what was she supposed to doooo guyssss 𼺠shes only thirtyteen years old đĽş
As much as he's aware and has a clear understanding of when Ormund's about to go, he can't help but stay around just in case he gets that love or admiration. Like at the end of episode four, after he's killed a man, he gets that sense of affection from Ormund. There's something kind of twisted where he knows, morally, what he's done, but he also longs for this kind of affection. // He would look at me with literally misty eyes, and I could see the love and the need. This boy deprived of a parent, a loving individual, a mentor. He would look into the eyes of this vicious, manipulative man and see gratitude and love.
(fatima aamer bilal, from âall hunger is, is loveâ, âhungry thread of nervesâ, and âi can't be loved, swallowed or digested. must i make myself smaller?â)

you are not his real parent, but you loved this child like your own. loved him the only way you knew how. you were prouder of him than anyone else. you poured your whole soul, your heart into him. he was your hope, your best creation, the most precious thing you had, that you had left. you died with the thought that your child betrayed you.
NO OTHER PLANET IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM GETS TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSES!! THE SIZE AND DISTANCE OF OUR MOON FROM EARTH AND THE SUN MAKE THE PERFECT CIRCUMSTANCES TO GET TOTALITY!!! THE EARTH AND MOON ARE SOOOO COOL AND OF COURSE OUR SUN!! I LOVE LIVING ON EARTH I LOVE YOU EARTH I LOVE YOUUUUU MOON I LOVE YOU SUN
God forgive me but wtf was this kid thinking đĽ
Do I support the death of actual living children? No! Do I like that this happened in the show? Also no! But we as a fandom kinda needed this to disperse that dicknballs notion that âall north men are honorableâ its BULLLSHITTT. Ned did insane PR for the place that still allows rape of newly weds and we're told multiple times the reason he himself is honourable is because he was brought up in The Vale.
Bruh, that whole Northerners are the good guys shit needs to die. Even the main, Northerners were committing atrocities in the Riverlands all the time. Ofc they'd kill civilians, this is the literal cost of war.
Kinda hated Cregan Stark in F&B, ngl. Swooped in at the 11th hour, bullied the teenagers who actually fought the damn war and acted like he owned the place. Rat behavior
Tbh, that entire saga is emblematic of F&B's core problem; a story with a predetermined conclusion. Rhaenyra has to lose in cannon, and given the advantages she has, it seems absurd she would. So George introduces a few contrivances to let this happen. Cregan being delayed is one of them. Really? It took you the entire war to haul ass? It's similar to the Gullet and the Storming of the Dragon Pit, Aemond's burning of the Riverlands etc. George just ignores logic and sometimes even his own lore to justify a certain outcome.
creganâs âlate comingâ is code for âreally didnât want to fight for the blacks but didnât want to be known as an oathbreakerâ. there is no way he was up there counting inventory for the winter because in the regency of aegon iii the boltons of all people were asking aegon for food, so cregan did a shit job at preparing for winter. he also said he would fight oldtown, stormâs end and casterly rock but all he did was executing aegon iiâs killers and marry a woman he found hot, then fucked off.
rhaenyra's supporters were too scared to fight cole up close despite outnumbering him so they chose to shoot him with arrows from afar and im supposed to believe he didn't die with honor? cole had more honor in his final moments than all the cowards surrounding him combined

Funny how Roderick mocks Gwayne's size when just days earlier he himself chickened out of a 2v1 against Criston, who is ABSOLUTELY the same build and height as Gwayne.
Easy to be brave (with an army at your back) until you run into Cole.
And this is despite Cole's army being so exhausted from hunger and lack of sleep that men were just dropping dead, and EVEN THEN Cole, without armor, remained a fucking threat, killing 12 men like it was nothing.
you know, as much as i would've loved to see book rhaenyra on screen - someone who is more unapologetically angry and vengeful, someone who wants power just because she can and not bc "the gods/some fairytale my dad told me said that i must" - i will admit the writers are inadvertently doing a pretty good job at establishing her as not only a privileged, out of touch brat, but also the reckless tyrant she became in the book - the one that the smallfolk eventually revolted against.
lengthy, anti rhaenyra think piece incoming. if you try to defend her in my comments i'm deleting them and blocking you. this is an ANTI rhaenyra post and i'm not arguing with you; if you wanna glaze her, make your own separate post.
the biggest forms of opression in history have been class divides, racism (white supremacy) and sexism, in that order. just because a rich white woman is not granted automatically the highest amount of power in her world doesnât make her oppressed. mind you, even for a targaryen princess she is privileged, she had the chance to have a claim to the throne, which is something that no other princess had before or after, she just had to work for it a bit.
rhaenyra is an ultra rich white woman, she wonât ever find common ground with the poor, disadvantaged women. she canât even find common ground with the class of noble women who are below her in station. she believes herself the most high, a gift from the gods, from a family that already believes themselves to be more godlike than human. that is not a champion for the little guy, that is a megalomaniac.
thereâs not an universe where that woman finds herself on top of the world and decides to make things better for the poor people in whose labor she depends or the women who have to be oppressed for her to be the exception.
