Jace’s head whipped around almost as soon as he heard Clary mutter Johnathan’s name. He felt his blood start to boil, the last thing he wanted was to see Johnathan’s face again. Especially around Clary. “What do you want?” He snapped, pushing Clary behind him slightly before taking a few steps forward towards Johnathan. His eyes darkened as he glared over at him and he could feel his hand automatically go towards his blade to rest on the handle - as if getting ready for a possible fight at any moment.
Now that was getting strange, it was something that he wanted? Why? It was part of that plan that he never told her about it? Now she was just confused and didn’t know exactly what to think but when Jace was starting to approach and to literally just attack, the girl placed softly a hand on Jace’s hand, no, right now that wasn’t the best move, they needed to think before doing something risky “He doesn’t want to fight, am I right?” This time she said looking at her brother, her look was a bit cold and honestly, Clary wanted to attack as well but for now, it wasn’t the best option “What do you mean by that? Convinient? What do you want with us? This is part of the plan that you told me?”
It made him laugh how Jace pushed Clary behind him when Johnathan knew his sister was more than capable of facing him herself. It also amused it him Jace’s hand went straight to his blade, it was such an obvious move. “No Clary I don’t want to fight, at least with you. I have no problem taking down your guard dog if necessary.” He smirked, eyes on Clary the whole time. She was he focus, Jace was secondary in his plans. But he still factored into them.
ofjacehcrondale:
Jace’s head shot up as soon as he heard that voice. Clary had already told him that Johnathan was back, but there was something about seeing him face to face again that made Jace stare for a second - as if unsure that it was actually real. “You are the last person that should be around me right now. I suggest you leave before I cause a scene.”
Johnathan knew that Jace wouldn’t be happy to see him after all he has killed him not so long ago. “And why is that? You’re not going to attempt to kill me again are you? Because as you can see, that didn’t work out so well last time.”
just-averagecory:
“Mu-whaat?” Cory asked confused as he scrunched his face at the other man. He wasn’t sure what that word mean but he knew it couldn’t be anything good, besides mundane almost sounded like ‘boring’ he couldn’t disagree with that, it was the story of his life. “Well, excuse me, Mr Negative but nobody asked you, okay? Bye.” He dismissed placing his hands playfully on his hips, knowing he wouldn’t be taken seriously for a second. Cory completely hated confrontation and he hoped it wouldn’t have to come to that. He had his moments in the past where he really DID feel like a complete waste of space and life.
Johnathan shook his head, not willing to explain what he was talking about today. He scoffed at the nickname, it was new, he’d heard that he was a demon many times in his life but it was strange to be called something so petty to him. “I’ll ignore that because I’m sure you’d like to carry on with your annoyingly average and boring little human life and I am not in the mood to kill anybody else today”
frczer:
“Is that so, love?” A roll of the eyes following as she picked up the tusk before continuing to pace. Stopping not long after once on the opposite side of the table to the male, the tusk now pointing in his direction as she spoke. “You’d think you’d be intelligent and observant enough to realise that I was talking to myself. Out loud, sad, I know.”
Johnathan looked down at the object for a second with a brief look of amusement. “You mundanes always over explain things. It gets annoying. Do you know what else is annoying? Talking to yourself when there are other people around.”

She was having fun with Jace, walkingand talking and laughing, everything was just so perfect. They were with the runes of invisibility so no one was going to bother them unless they were demons, shadowhunters or in general people from the shadow world. clary stopped where she was and just gave him a small kiss on his lips “i love you, never forget that” Clary said with a small smile and now when they were about to turn, a familiar face was in front of her “Jonathan?” She muttered, grabbing Jace by his hand this time.

Of course, Johnathan had made sure he knew where Clary and Jace were at all times, it was made easier by them being together a lot. He had been waiting for the right time to confront them but had eventually grow bored with waiting. He had always been slightly more careless and reckless then his father. Even though everybody knew he wasn’t the real Sebastian Verlac, he sill wore the glamour. “Clary, Jace.” He grinned taking a step towards them. “It’s good to see you both again, and together. That’s convenient for me.”
ofjacehcrondale:
“Look, I’d actually really appreciate it if you didn’t sit there. I’m not in the mood for idle chit chat.” Jace snapped from the bar stool he was sat on. He was currently holding his head in hands, so he couldn’t see who it was but he could feel their presence. All he really knew right now was that he was confused and a headache was starting to form. “There’s plenty more seats around here. Do you really need that one?”
It was obvious that Jace hadn’t seen who we was speaking to when Sebastian had sat next to him and that amused him. It was going to be such a surprise when the other Johnathan realized who it was. “There are plenty of other seats free, I agree. However only one of the is next to the man who tried to kill me so I think I’ll stay where I am..”
likcsugar:
“ it’s really easy, actually. if you focus hard enough, you can even bring back small animals. ” lilac explained as she held a small mouse in her hands. she hated rat traps, it was such an inhumane way for people to deal with a mouse problem. lilac sighed softly and closed her eyes, cupping her hand over the small mouse until suddenly, a little squeak could be heard from her palms. “ now auras.. are weird.. i think the mouse is.. sorry? for intruding? “
Sebastian wouldn’t exactly say he was impressed by the move, after all he had never been the kind to want to bring anything back to life, but he was interested. Necromancy was something you didn’t see very often. “What exactly are you?” Sebastian asked, getting straight to the point. The girl didn’t seem like any warlock he had ever met.
just-averagecory:
“Wouldn’t you know it? Of all the irresponsible, disrespectful.” He muttered to himself as he made his way out of the store where the person ahead of him had just taken the last pudding cup off the shelf. Leave it to him to start the day off with bad luck. Didn’t they know it was common courtesy to at least ASK especially when they already had two others in their hand. He left in fake huff hoping someone would maybe feel sorry for him when he felt something fall at his feet, confused he looked down at the ground, “Ooh pudding!” He exclaimed excitedly, picking it up off the ground unable to keep himself from laughing, “it was a run by pudding! Hey, hey, can you believe it? a run by pudding, it was–” he cut himself off mid laugh as he noticed someone standing nearby that probably witnessed the whole thing, “How ya doing?” He asked, holding his precious discovery close to him if they thought they were going to get a taste of it at all they were sorely mistaken. He was serious about his chocolate pudding.
Sebastian simply stared at the man for couple of seconds. He would never understand mundanes and this one seemed slightly stranger to him than most he came across.”Mundanes.” He muttered, shaking his head. “What a complete waste of life some of you are.”
frczer:
Tusk on the table before her, cell phone in hand, she tried her hardest to get hold of Nadine, knowing for a fact that the woman would take the whole situation the wrong way. The reason behind Chloe being in New York was so she could hopefully find a decent buyer. She knew she should’ve told her partner beforehand but the trip was on impulse. Pacing the room as the call went straight to voice mail once again, a sigh escaped her lips as she dropped her phone on the table beside the tusk. “You’d think in a city like New York the cell service would be bloody remarkable.”
Sebastian looked next to him at the woman who was clearly trying to get in contact with somebody. It seemed like she was having an issue but it was such a mundane thing that Sebastian couldn’t even pretend to care. “You’d think that you would be intelligent and observant enough to realize that I don’t care about your lack of cell phone reception.”

even monsters have something they want to protect. and they’d kill to keep them safe.
When you live in the dark for so long, you begin to love it. And it loves you back, and isn’t that the point? You think, the face turns to the shadows, and just as well. It accepts, it heals, it allows. But it also devours.
