like hello???? this is TUMBLR.

not a fucking beauty pageant.

not a facial-rating forum.

not a place where some random man/woman can crawl onto your blog and decide whether your face is a 4 or an 8.

and somehow we’re supposed to be okay with people:

🚩 going onto RANDOM girls’ blogs and rating their faces/bodies

🚩 making girls feel ugly for having completely normal features

🚩 acting like your nose/jaw/eyes/body need to be “fixed”

🚩 pushing insanely rigid, Eurocentric beauty standards

🚩 being racist/colorist about which features are “attractive”

🚩 body-shaming girls who don’t fit their ideal

🚩 romanticizing plastic surgery like insecurity = a shopping list

🚩 obsessing over “bone maxxing” and other extreme appearance shit

🚩 turning BEING A HUMAN BEING into a fucking optimization project

and the worst part???

girls actually start believing them.

you look in the mirror and suddenly your nose is “too big.”

your jaw is “wrong.”

your body isn’t “feminine enough.”

your skin isn’t perfect enough.

your face isn’t symmetrical enough.

you were literally just existing five minutes ago and now some random internet account has convinced you that you need to change your FACE to deserve feeling pretty

NO don’t forget the racism they bring to

we’re not doing that.

Tumblr should be a place where a teenage girl can post her outfit, her makeup, her art, her selfies, her poetry, her weird little fandom obsession, whatever the fuck she wants without somebody turning her appearance into a score.

and before anybody says “just ignore it”:

why should girls have to hide from harassment instead of the people doing the harassing being held accountable?

If an account is actually targeting people, body-shaming them, harassing them, posting hateful content, sexualizing minors, or violating Tumblr’s rules, REPORT THE BEHAVIOR.

Don’t harass them back. Don’t dox them. Don’t dogpile them. Report their accounts and their community’s

Just make it very clear:

🎀 OUR BODIES ARE NOT RATING SYSTEMS.

🎀 OUR FACES ARE NOT PROJECTS.

🎀 OUR INSECURITIES ARE NOT YOUR CONTENT.

🎀 GIRLS DON’T EXIST TO BE RANKED.
