There was that same innate aversion to it, this realm of affection or something close to it anyhow, but something had loosened within his chest, fallen free and Casimir wasn't sure how to navigate whatever such feeling was. The moment he pulled away and practically stared Nikandros down, he realized how much he'd been missing. A simple kiss for the sake of it, an unbridled sentiment which could explain everything the dhampir could not. A finger tipped his jaw and it felt like fire on his waxen, frigid skin, as though whatever cold and distant barrier of Nikandros had melted and waned only enough to invite Casimir to the other side.
A crook of a fang greeted the mage, an inevitable that would cause this to be rather unceremonious, but Casimir realized he wasn't starved for blood in this moment, no matter how dry his throat perpetually felt, he was starved for the affection neither could look directly at. "I didn't think you'd know how to kiss," its ruefully stated, as though this was some experiment, but the dhampir would be no better on the front, as he dipped his head upward again to press his gelid lips to the daemon's.
âOffensive.â Pride would argue that there was nothing beyond his purview, even if there was a clear ring of truth to Casimir's statement. âNikandros had, - yes,â Zaknafein, no. Which left him? Unclear, but eager and as quick to the uptake as ever. Even as the awkward correction tumbled from his lips, it laid clear the relatively unchartered waters in which Casimir had led him, but that Nikandros remained, that he requested more, spoke volumes.Â
Pliant in his descent, greeting the dhampir's cool mouth with the heat of his own. He had not expected the sensation to linger, nor the pulse that came with it - the faintest reminder that beneath the armor of daemon and magister alike, there was still something that reached, that wanted. Desire was such a lesser concept, but here Nikandros was, beholden to it - Casimir proving, once again, that change was possible even for a thing like him.Â
Nikandrosâs hand didnât withdraw after its correction of Casimirâs jaw. Instead, his thumb swept a slow line over the sharp angle of it, his own claiming gesture he  disguised as idle touch. He let the kiss linger, unhurried, more deliberate the second time - less surprise, more choice. When he pulled back, it was only far enough to catch Casimirâs expression with that molten stare. âKnowledge isnât the same as indulgence,â he murmured, low and timbrous, the words curled with arrogance and a concession that tasted perilously like truth. âbut both parts of me enjoy them, with you, equally.âÂ
He pressed in again, firmer this time, decisive.
