She'd been watching him from across the gala. He was adorable and constantly on Carsons arm. When they broke for a moment she made her move and sauntered up to him. "Why hello there cutie. You been here long? I hope not because I plan to take you home with me."
Moth was torn between unbearable fear of getting in trouble with Carson and the irresistible charm of Xendrial, it caused him to get stuck into a position he couldn’t escape. When Carson came over he just tried to stand up and not cause a commotion but soon her was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Both powerhouse’s weren’t letting go of him and he could only look between the two of them during their back and forth.
He tried to find his voice but he felt so dwarfed, so weak, so insignificant, he hated it but he struggled to keep his head and not freak out. He took a deep shaky breath and then looked up at the two people who looked over him, “ I-I-I can stand o-on my… my own! ” He tried to speak up quietly to both of them, wanting to find his own feet and try to soothe the situation and find a peaceful solution without causing a scandal, he’d never hear the end of this.
Xendrial was an immovable object facing an unstoppable force in Carson. For as much as he veiled his threats in honeyed words she wasn't phased by him at all. He could blow hot air in her direction all he wanted she wasn't budging. When Moth seemed ready to stand on his own she let him after making sure he was dusted off and his clothes unwrinkled from holding him so close. Ignoring the glare from Carson she just smiled as if nothing were wrong.
Carson was livid as he watched his Moth being tended to by a very attractive woman who didn't know her place. When Moth was put on his feet he was quick to snatch him up and pull him to his side. Smiling as if he'd won their little battle he puffed out his chest. "For as lovely as this has been I do think we should retire for the evening. Moth has had a long day and could use the rest."
Moth wanted to melt into the floor and disappear, this was almost too much to handle and he wasn’t sure how to react. Being stuck between the two of them was giving him a headache, when Moth managed to compose himself he found his feet albeit shakily. Being dusted off he avoided Xendrial’s gaze and kept his head down, better to keep his mouth shut for now.
When yanked to Carson’s side he stumbled into him and took a breath feeling how hard he was gripping him, he just forced a smile and did what was expected of him. “ S-sorry for being a-a nuisance, it was a um… a pleasure to meet you M-Miss Xendrial. ” He spoke up nervously but tried to keep his cool and just play the part he was supposed too. Even if he couldn’t help but keep peeking up at Xendrial, she truly was beautiful.
She let Carson think that he'd won their little silent battle. As he pulled Moth away from her she noticed how his grasp was possessive and didn't have an ounce of caring in it. Well that was going to change right about now. Smiling up at Carson she moved closer and put a hand to his chest. Inflating his ego a bit she flirted with him to get him off his feet a bit. As he puffed out and preened like some kind of bird she knew it was her time to strike. Setting her glass down she let him pull her close as well. Walking out with him to the hall she waited until nobody could see before she acted.
Moving quickly she was instantly away from Carson and at Moths side. Pulling him close they disappeared into the shadows just to reappear at her manor. There was a fountain of blood in the center of the hall and the walls were made of dark marble polished to a shine. Smiling down at him she reached over and gently caressed his cheek. "Isn't this better? I think you'll like it more here on my side of things."
