During the Second World War, the Japanese government seized the Dresden slates from Daikaku Kokujoji and Adolf. K Weissman shortly after the Dresden Bombing. They used the slates to further development in Unit 731, and more notably, to develope the very first Kaiju. At this point, Kokujoji was not in possession of the Dresden Slates, but the Japanese government had been incredibly covert in the location of the slates, and had even been trying to make the current emperor, Emperor Hirohito, a king himself, alongside a few high ranking soldiers. The main reason why they wanted soldiers to become kings is to use the Damocles Downs for more devastating kamikaze attacks. Unfortunately for them, these attempts did not work and the only main kings at the time were Emperor Hirohito, Adolf K. Weissman, and Daikuku Kokujoji. Shortly after, the government focused on Kaiju projects, which are basically replicas of living creatures made entirely out of metal and aura who use biomass to sustain their lives, while also holding incredibly strong powers, which would be very, very useful in warfare. The more primitive ones were dolls made by Emperor Hirohito, where he would use his abilities to puppet them remotely. While devastating on battle fields, it weighed heavily on the emperor and was inevitably discontinued in favor of electrical and mechanical development. After the war ended on both the pacific and in Europe, Kaiju were discarded (i NEED you to know that the radiation from Little Boy and Fat Man had caused heavy behavioral and even physical changes in the primitive Kaiju THIS BECOMES IMPORTANT TRUST ME). In this AU, Emperor Hirohito took his life after surrendering to the United States and shortly committed suicide after to prevent a Damocles Down on the homefront.

The idea of Kaiju wasn't picked up again until when Daikaku Kokujoji came into power and began to turn Japan into what it is today (K project wise). Unlike in actual history, the Gold King did not allow the Americans to fully occupy Japan, instead giving the Allies temporary powers to influence Japanese media, but nothing drastic, as he would be the one taking charge and enforcing a (pseudo) democracy in Japan. During this period, approximately the 1940s-1950s, the Japanese people were still relatively radicalized even with Kokujoji's nonstop attempts to stop the spread of radical beliefs used in the World War, which were heightened by the perceived success of Kaiju in the battlefield. Numerous groups in Japan wanted to reinvent Kaiju, and reinvent they did, this led to the invention and discovery of Modern Kaiju
