this post was written to acknowledge anyone who has felt like someone they opened up to invalidated them and made them feel like they shouldn’t have opened up in the first place, because that’s hard to get over whether it’s a friend or a parent or someone else. sometimes it feels so difficult to say anything, because you’re worried saying something negative about your life means you’re not trying hard enough. but it’s okay to be frustrated sometimes. it’s okay to be stressed and sad and angry and hurt. everyone needs to let it out sometimes. don’t be afraid to try again soon even if you just want to curl up into a ball and never speak again.
