Dazed

It’s okay to let yourself have bad days. What’s important is that you know to love yourself no matter what. Sometimes things are cheesy and true.

I honestly thought I wasn’t going to be doing anything Valentines Day related this year, nevermind settling up shoots Valentine’s day weekend, moving on with my life, and getting my motivation back.

I was broken up with the day after my birthday by my ex of a year and a half.  I was lost, confused, heartbroken, and angry.  But that’s not the point to this blog. 

Even though, I have been in absolutely no mood to smile, I needed to get in front of the lens again.  Being in front of the camera means I can’t be judged. My head is held high and I smile.  It’s a high like no other. I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t start my modeling journey a little over 6 years ago. 

I was privileged enough to get to meet ChaCha VaVoom and Summer Rain of the 420 Nurses when I went to visit Cali in February of this year.  Shooting with Summer reminded me that modeling was about loving myself. I needed to be comfortable being me or it would show in the photos. 

So, for my valentines day shoot, I wore what made me feel beautiful.  420 Nurses. 

I had a great time shooting with two wonderful friends. It was exactly what I needed to get back into the game. 

So, this Valentines Day, I was my own Valentine. I spent it with my wonderful friends and it was a great weekend.  I was dreading it for so long because I wouldn’t be getting the two roses I expected when I woke up in the morning,  and the man I loved no longer loved me.  But now I know that it’s totally okay. 

I needed to love myself. I needed to grow.

I turned my phone back on this morning to find a series of fucked up texts from my room mate

My phone was off most of last night because I broke my charger. I thought it was weird that Adam hadn’t come out of his room at all during that time. He usually takes a nap after his Trig class, but I assumed he must have stepped out without me knowing or something. I kept knocking on his door, but it was locked and he wasn’t replying. But he doesn’t usually lock his bedroom door when he leaves.
