It’s a real thing, dumbasses. It’s not like we woke up in the morning praying for one of the most unknown but terrifying mental disorders out there. Being sensitive or triggered by things around you doesn’t seem like a real disorder and people are often bashed saying it’s “just for attention”, “it’s not real”, etc. well, its worse than the few internet sources even explain it. so if you have misophonia, good job. you’ve made it this far. Misophonia is kind of like the extreme sensitivity to sounds, sights, etc. in some cases, it’s severe and can even cause people to start going insane. no, you don’t have it if you’re annoyed by that one kid in class chewing gum or some shit. it’s so much more than that. as I’m typing this right now, it’s not even getting corrected by my computer because it doesn’t recognize it as a word. That’s how unknown it is. Please be considerate for us folks who have it. It’s not a fucking joke. Reblog if you know someone who has misophonia, or have it yourself. Not many people know about it and it’s depressing that we have to go on like this with no real treatment.
