H E A D C A N O N # 1
When Xavier was eleven and ready to go to Hogwarts, he had spent the entire morning of the day he was to get the Hogwarts Express for the first time crying. He had never had any friends his own age before and never had much interaction with people outside of the close bonds of his small family. He was afraid he would make no friends and end up bullied, which was something he'd never experienced before and dreaded.
Xavier tried to hide in the back garden so his grandparents wouldn't take him to the station. Unfortunately, he was found. They assured him everything would be fine and that people would take to him soon enough. Just to be sure he wasn't completely alone, his grandfather bought him a pet lizard, who Xavier affectionately called Rex.
Keira Knightley: A massive thank you to the incredible crew and the totally inspiring cast, particularly my lovely friend, Benedict Cumberbatch. Thanks for being excellent, both on and off camera. Thank you. [x]

Xavier Galloway | Slytherin Alumni | Pureblood | Neutral | TAKEN
“And that is how change happens. One gesture. One person. One moment at a time.”
PAST; Xavier Galloway was born in Calais, France to an Englishman and a French woman who spent most of their time attempting to mend a broken affair between two countries, paying little or no attention to their newborn son. His maternal grandparents, on his father’s side, who had been professors in Hogwarts up until his birth stepped in before his parents could put him up for adoption and offered to raise him. They brought him away from his mother and father, who never bothered to keep in contact after that moment.
Nearly his entire family had been Slytherins and just as expected, Xavier was also sorted into Slytherin. He had always been too smart for his own good and didn’t mix well with others. Generally, people annoyed him. The only time he spoke to others without feeling frustrated was when he was showing off his intelligence. Following in his grandparent’s footsteps and using the only people skills he had, Xavier decided to become a Hogwarts professor for Arithmancy after studying for a number of years in New York.
For a long number of years, Xavier was in an emotionally abusive relationship with a woman named Rose. Though it was evident that she did not feel the same about him as he felt about her, Xavier could never bring himself to leave her, finding himself infatuated with her. She cheated on him with numerous men, everyone could see that, but Xavier refused to believe such things. When Xavier plucked up the courage to propose to her, she rejected him right away. She wasn’t in love with him
After her departure, Xavier grew extremely cold. He drank too much and smoked dangerously. He slept with countless women, not much caring for any serious relationships for fear of being left alone again. In school, he was a harsh professor. Firm but fair, he would say, though really he was very biased when it came to students and often treated those who he had even a slight dislike in an unjust manner. He closed himself off from everyone and had a limited number of friends, all of his old ones leaving swiftly after Xavier turned into a nightmare to be around. That suited Xavier just fine however, he didn’t need anyone but himself. He couldn’t hurt himself like someone else could. Xavier decided that he would never marry and never have a family for fear of turning out like his parents.
Xavier worked in Hogwarts for twelve years, six of those shared with Fiona Belmont, the Alchemy, Muggle Studies, and Defense Against the Dark Arts for years one to three professor. They didn’t exactly see eye to eye, often arguing or ignoring each other. Although Xavier didn’t get along with most of his colleagues, she was one in particular who seemed to go out of her way to bother him. However, he could never decipher whether she was someone he disliked or if he had a certain soft spot for her.
Quickly and to Xavier’s surprise, he grew more fond of her and their fighting slowed to small petty arguments. He would even go as far as to call her his friend. They spent more and more time together and Xavier ceased his drinking habit, finding less of a need for it. It became rare to see one without the other within a matter of weeks.
Gradually, Xavier became more cheerful, less of the person he was after Rose’s departure and more like the person he was when Rose was never in his life. But he was better than that self. He became less cold and less intolerable of others. He found it easier to show kindness and for the first time in his twelve years at Hogwarts could form a friendly bond with his students. He had fallen in love with Fiona.
After a while with many ups and downs, Fiona and Xavier eventually became friends-with-benefits, unspoken but understood that that was where their relationship had hit. At this stage, Xavier quit smoking. Granted, it was very difficult, but it was what Fiona wanted. For Xavier at this point he felt that he could do anything for her if she asked.
PRESENT; Xavier and Fiona became an official couple after months of acting just like one. It took a while but it really had only been a matter of time. They both confessed their feelings for one another, knowing that they were soulmates and could never feel the same with anyone else.
On Fiona’s birthday in Paris, they became engaged, Xavier’s life finally feeling near complete for the first time in forever. Anything he had ever thought about staying single his entire life or worrying about turning into a terrible parent evaporated with that gesture of love. He knew he was supposed to spend his life with Fiona, to share his time on earth with her. She was his other half and Xavier couldn’t understand how he had coped without her.
Xavier quit his job in Hogwarts and Fiona moved in with him after she became a full time Alchemist. He couldn’t bear being so far from her so he got a nine to five job in the Ministry as an Assessor in the Department of Magical Education, much closer to their home.
Xavier has chosen to stay neutral in the war. Himself and Fiona are getting married in December and want to start a family as soon as possible so Xavier doesn’t want to get involved in something that could make him lose the best thing life has ever given him.
FUTURE; Xavier and Fiona marry on Decemeber 13th, 1978, performing the Unbreakable Vow at their ceremony. Over the coming years they have three children, Seraphina, William, and Caroline. All three children attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, both William and Caroline, like their mother, being sorted in Gryffindor while Seraphina becomes a Slytherin like her father.
Xavier again quits his job in the Ministry, choosing to be a stay-at-home father until Caroline, their youngest daughter, leaves for Hogwarts. He then tutors students in Arithmancy at his home and during the second wizarding war, he becomes a Muggle maths teacher in a primary school in the suburbs of London.

WEAKNESSES; jealous; selfish; obsessive; blunt; insecure
KEY RELATIONSHIPS;
Fiona Belmont - Fiona is Xavier’s fiancée, soulmate, best friend, and love of his life. She’s someone that Xavier hasn’t known for very long but he finds it impossible to imagine his life without her. When she’s not with him, a large chunk of Xavier is missing. Xavier would do anything for Fiona and he knows that once they have a family together, Xavier’s life will finally be complete with her by his side forever with their children.
Juliet Moore - Though Xavier never taught Juliet (probably better that way), she is one student that Xavier has always been fond of. She’s one that he feels that he can talk to like he would with an adult and he very much enjoys her company. He cares a lot for the girl. Xavier has severe trust issues and often feels uncomfortable around people who aren’t Fiona but he feels at ease with Juliet.
Katherine and Richard Galloway - Xavier’s grandparents raised him from a few months old all the way up to his graduation from Hogwarts, better parents than his real ones could ever hope to be. Xavier respects and loves them greatly for all they’ve done for him, saving him from being cooped up in an orphanage for most of his life. Without them, his life would be incredibly different and nothing would even be remotely the same. Though he doesn’t see them as often as he’d like to, he’s incredibly close to them.
*Fiona smiled tenderly at Xavier as he wiped away the tears he had cried during her vows from his face. His heart had been so closed off at the beginning of their friendship. Now, a year later and as husband and wife, it was wide open. She looked at him proudly, the love she felt for him oozing out of her every pore. She leaned in as he spoke quiet words only for her to hear.*“Thank you, dearheart. I’m so thankful my vows meant as much to you as yours did to me.” *Fiona grinned and nodded eagerly as he said they should get a copy of the poem. Her eyes shone with happiness.* “Right! It’s beautiful.”
*Fiona kept quietly tapping her shoe against the marble floor as the minister spoke. She didn’t mean to, but she was growing impatient. It was a special moment and she wanted to treasure it forever, but dammit; she also wanted to get on with it and be a married lady! The big bow on the back of her wedding dress swayed along with Fiona’s impatient movements. She could hear the muffled sound of her father chuckling from behind his hand, probably thinking of all the times he’d reprimanded her for doing exactly the same thing at the dinner table when she was a little girl.*
*Fiona’s heart jumped as the minister finally said it was time to make the unbreakable vow. Her hand clasped around Xavier’s wrist as his hand clasped around hers, and she eagerly knelt down to the floor with him. Silk, chiffon and lace fanned out around her. Fiona looked into Xavier’s eyes and felt a jolt of powerful happiness at the peace she found in them. This would put the remaining worries he had at rest, it would bring them closer, and it would with finality make everyone see that their marriage was forever. Xavier would be hers for the rest of eternity and she would be his. It was the part of the wedding ceremony she had longed for most.*
"It means the world to me too, sweetheart. I love you."
*The minister placed the tip of his wand on their linked hands, making Fiona shoot him a brief smile before her attention turned back to Xavier. She looked into his eyes with loving reassurance, stroking her thumb along his wrist. She smiled at him with utmost certainty and spoke with contentment and love:”
"I do, Xavier. I will."
*Orange flames issued from the wand and licked its way around their linked hands. It was magical and therefore painless, but Fiona still hoped it would leave a mark on their skin. It would be like a second wedding ring.*
"My dearest Xavier… Do you promise to stay with me forever and to love me always, to be my husband, in this life and the next?
*Xavier kept his gaze steady on Fiona, his eyes filled to the brim with trust and love for the only person in the world who had ever made him feel the way he did. Never before had anyone tugged on his heartstrings the way she did, and never before had anyone been so kind and so thoughtful to him. If there were over a billion alternate universes with over a billion alternate Xaviers, he knew that in every single one, he would find Fiona and fall over head over heels with her the way he had.*
*He smiled as she responded, knowing that with her words, an eternal bond was forming. The golden light twirled along their joined hands, and with every shimmer Xavier could feel his trust grow more and more, her words a sure sign that he would never have to worry about any form of betrayal from his Fiona. Xavier didn't believe, regardless of the Unbreakable Vow, that Fiona would ever do such a thing. But, to put any doubt to rest, this would certainly mean he would never have to worry.*
"I do." Xavier squeezed her arm reassuringly, his smile growing as he realizes how close they are to becoming husband and wife. "I promise."
*The thin orange flame spun around their arms once more in an elaborate knot, before making a singed noise and fading into their skin. Xavier gently slid his hand back to lace their fingers together once more, standing up slowly with Fiona.*
*Once standing, the Minister spoke in a rich, loud voice.*
"Now that Xavier and Fiona have given themselves to each other by solemn vows, the giving and receiving of rings, and with the joining of hands for the Unbreakable Vow, by the power vested in me, and as witnessed by friends and family, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
*Xavier took a small step forward, letting go of her hands slowly and wrapping an arm around her waist. Xavier was at his happiest in that moment. He smiled brighter than he ever had before and rested his hand on the back of her neck, leaning in and whispering a quick 'I love you' before closing his eyes and capturing his lips with his own. He tried to keep it as sweet and gentle as he could, his lips parting slowly and tenderly, but inside Xavier was on fire with the amount of love he had for his wife.*
