Here’s my Hot Take™ on Wreck it Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet - you know how Fix-It Felix “adopts” the homeless racers and they go from little shits to perfect angels? He does have a magic hammer that “fixes” things, right?

Bad kid? Hammer hit! Personality change!

This leads to many questions about the possibilities of The Hammer. Discuss.

Light spoilers for the main villain of Incredibles 2 ahead.

I just saw Incredibles 2 with my family and I was pretty disappointed. Like Star Wars, it was an exact rehash of the source material with minor changes. The plot was predictable and tired.

I propose that this would have been a better plot to work around:

The film begins exactly where Incredibles 1 leaves off and how the sequel begins: with the Underminer. However, as we the audience felt with Incredibles 2, everything feels a little...off. Violet and Dash seem older, Robert seems older and more tired, and some people look and sound a little different. Naturally, most audiences will let this slide because they know it is a sequel that took over a decade to come. Actors get older, it makes sense.

The film goes on and we think it’s a rehash of the first film - but with the variation that it’s Mrs. Incredible getting the attention, again still the same.

Now, we’re introduced to ScreenSlaver. They talk about all their morals, people being too sucked into technology, yadda yadda. The movie continues down the same boring plot and the same reveal.

When the audience feels that the film is wrapping up, one of the Parrs notices that something doesn’t feel right. They notice something on one of the screens - them in a chair in a dark room with a mask on. The time that has passed in real life has also passed in the film. They are all actually older and have been “slaves” to ScreenSlaver’s device.

Of course this could lead to a less predictable plot, and could satisfy a lot of time issues for fans. It could also give a great reason to show a teenaged Jack Jack, trying to save his family, and the ramifications of a villain who already “won.”
