Emily (real name Seong-Mi Yeon but she chose the name Emily for herself) is the daughter of Sun-Mi Yeon (Scarlet) and Vincent Castillo. She lived in Korea for a lot of her young life but ended up moving to New York with her mom when she was a teenager. America tended to be more accepting of beastkin but the world kinda still has a stigma of fearing demons, which she has some demon blood in her. Emily being part Kumiho always keeps that portion of her heritage under wraps, opting to just call herself a cat. Scarlet ,her mom, naturally has ninetails but she hides all of them except one.She’s an avid fisher and likes being in the woods. 

Emily is in a romantic relationship with Tobias Reeves, a young man who she met in Rockland Maine where her and her family live now.

I’ll just come out and say this. I am getting a divorce from my husband, and it’s pretty close to being finalized. It’s actually been a long time coming and I just didn’t wanna say anything. He’s still a good friend and he’s not at all cruel to me in anyway. We’ve just grown apart.
