I’ve been roleplaying for about a year now and i’ve made most of my friends there. For the past five days i’ve gotten e-mails from about three differnet people none of them have replied to me. I don’t want to seem like a nag, but i really liked them and I don’t know how to restart the roleplay with them. I send them the chat logs no reply back.

It’s definitely okay to send an email and politely ask what’s up. The Omeglist would send a note that looked something like this:

“Hey, I’ve noticed it’s been a bit since you sent me a roleplaying response. It’s fine if you’re busy; I just wanted to check to see if we’re still playing. I’m definitely still having fun with this if you are, but no pressure either way.”

If you send something like that and you still don’t hear back, your partner has probably just lost interest in the story you were working on together. Stuff happens. If you’re roleplaying with someone you’re super-close to, you can usually get away with giving it a second little nudge after a few days, but after that, it’s time to let go. Roleplaying is a thing that people do for fun and not obligation, and sometimes people move on. It’s not nagging, though, to ask once, if you can do so in polite and non-blame-assigning sort of way. Or twice if you’re buddies and chat all the time anyway.

Also, while it’s true that five days can feel like a lifetime in internet time, in real-life time, it’s not really all that much. It’s entirely possible your roleplaying friends are just busy. Ask. It beats not asking.
