sorry for the late reply i've been super busy with work T^T but thankyou sm for asking >:))))) the basic premise is that Kingdom Hearts (the in universe thing not the franchise) is actually a major music award called Kingdom's Heart that's awarded purely based on fan support/voting. every year artists and companies rally the fans to vote for their faves and it becomes this whole big thing. our main characters are sora (15 year old prodigy idol), his friends/family and the group of grown ass adults (organisation xiii) that have beef with him on twitter because he keeps beating them (both for the award and just like. on weekly music shows). the two come from rival labels (founded by eraqus and xehanort bc of course) with a long history of hating each other because of events and are kind of pitted against each other because of that but orgxiii also just... chose to fight this child... because they are like that. my idea is that the actual story of the au takes place kinda over kh2-3 (with the events of kh1 and all the prequel stuff happening before we jump in) hitting the basic plot beats just adapted to be about idols, awards and social media drama instead of like an actual war between light and dark

that one i think is the BEST but... and the ask did not ask for this but im telling you anyways. my favourite is actually twilight princess. ik not a lot of people actually like the ordon section but I adore it. its so. warm. and i love how it establishes the normalcy of everything before it gets torn away. link gets to have time to exist as a person before the world-ending starts. its special to me.

kingdom hearts 2 :3 its one of the first games I have actual memories of and is one i will always go back to. no matter the time, place or how many times i've played it. kh2 will always be there.
