im gonna tell you a couple things about me.  i am so terrified, god nothing scares me as much as you do. i put up this act, that i am strong, that i know where my life is going, that i am unstoppable and untouchable. im so afraid that you’ll break down these walls I’ve had built up for so long. because god damn. I’m afraid you’ll see past the makeup, or me being dressed up. I’m afraid you won’t love me when you see me at 3am with my hair up sitting on your couch in sweats. I’m afraid that ill flinch one too many times when you go to touch me out of habit, so maybe one day you’ll stop trying to touch me at all. I’m afraid to sleep with someone, because when i wake up up screaming in the middle of the night you’ll see me at my weakest point, and no one wants someone who’s weak. I’m afraid you wont love me when I’m not smiling walking the streets of new york with you, but rather its 2 am and I’m breaking down on my bedroom floor. I’m afraid you’ll love me until you see the scars that cover my body. I’m afraid you’ll wake up one morning and remember that I’m not always sure if i want to wake up that day. I’m afraid of sleeping with you because i will learn how my body fits with yours, how your breathing slows in your sleep and how it feels to wake up and kiss you goodmorning. and I’m afraid ill roll over one morning, but you won t be there anymore. and that thought is so god damn terrifying.

You know, all that really matters is that the people you love are happy and healthy. Everything else is just sprinkles on the sundae.

Pleasure of love lasts but a moment. Pain of love lasts a lifetime.

I think part of the reason why we hold so tight is because we fear something so great won’t happen twice
