DEATH DEALER

               “I already decided that we stay in for the night; you’re the one who can’t decide. So you choose -- I’ll still be here waiting when you’re done”

               “Alright, spill --- get it all out. What’s been so bad about this week? Come on, pretty lady; you know I don’t exactly talk about myself so I’m not about to start now”

                   “Not a what, a who --- someone whose been very naughty and I’m here to teach them what happens when you disobey an order. Just you usual night --- got a name, tall dark and handsome?”

               “This isn’t the first time you’ve seen a smile like this on my lips, J” the woman purred as someone she could tolerate took up a seat beside her -- at least she wouldn’t spend the whole night alone. “Tell you what, when I give the signal I’d like for you to pretend we’re together, few cuddles and shit like that -- for your service I’ll pay for any and all drinks from here on out”

                “You are aware that I’ve got quite the gift when it comes to corrupting the young and innocent ---- they’re not, we all have our own beds for a reason; just thought I’d crack a small joke. How are things in your life going? You seem to be smiling from ear to ear or do you just enjoy my company that much?”

               “How does anyone hate anything?” she quipped with a quirked brow, head now resting in the palm of her hand. “Blueberry pie? Now you’ve taken it too far, I can no longer be seen with you” it was all harmless fun as the wolf eyed the cub, watching and waiting for her next victim to walk through those doors. Kane always had a job for her to do; not that she minded in any way. “I usually hate company of any sort but you seem to be an exception”

               “I’m trying out this new, be friendly to strangers thing -- you can tell me how I’m doing later if you like” lies. It was all lies that came out of Delta’s mouth. She knew exactly who Yael was, had known for sometime now as the wolf had been keeping track of the other woman, watching her every move as Kane had ordered her too; and she did so with pleasure. Her wolf senses kept track of her surroundings as she pretended to relax and enjoy a night out --- she was only here because Yael was. “I’m not actually much of a drinker but this stuff doesn’t taste half bad -- you come here a lot?”

               “Oh I forgot you know me so well, Ash ---- can’t a lady just want to sit and have a drunk with a man? That doesn’t seem impossible, does it?”

               “Oh jesu --” before she could even finish her own sentence, here he was, singing that same song again but putting his own little twist on it like he always did. The song was annoying, constantly getting stuck in her head because of him; but it never failed to put a smile on her face. Never. “Your version is almost as bad as the real one, Kane” she stated through a grin. “I’ve already put together a plan to get him tomorrow whether he does something or not” her head moved to form a nod in his direction, never failing to do her job; never failing to do anything he wanted. “So, to what do I owe this little visit - could have been naked you know”

               “Everyone’s got a dark side I suppose; perhaps these people see that side in you --- or their just fucking idiots --- lets go with the latter” the smallest roll of the eyes could be seen from the wolf before she stood up and threw her jacket over her shoulder. “That’s not food, blondie, that’s obesity waiting to happen. The restaurant next door cooks some high quality food; your friend will be fine for half an hour I’m sure”

               “And what’s your verdict anyway? Can I be nice or are you siding with the many who think I can’t? Fine, I’ll get drunk and you can watch me; it’ll be like a little date”

               “Nah ah, I asked first” she shook her head lightly, a dark brown curl falling in front of her face before slender fingers removed it. “We’ll take it slow. I’ll say one thing and then you say one thing --- I hate ice-cream” her shoulders moved upward to form a shrug as feline like eyes darted up to her new company, smile slowly forming on soft wed lips. “What? I didn’t say we had to start off with the serious shit first”

               “Well, aren’t you just a bloody catch then” her tone was somewhat dry, emotionless as wolf eyes peered out into the darkness beyond the two -- her hunt was hiding from her, but not for long. “Well you can run along if you wish, I’m going to hand back and see if he decides to show his face; or, you could keep a lady company”

               “Collins, Collins; my little blonde whose first name is my last name. What shall we do today? Rob a bank? Beat up some bullies? Pillow fight? The world is our oyster you know”

           “Are you here to listen to some of my amazing jokes or do you want an update?” Delta pushed herself off her bed and stalked toward Kane, a light smirk lighting her features .. her jokes were actually horrible. “I followed him, he did nothing out of the ordinary, rather boring actually but I’ll keep working on it”

             “Thank you; see, that wasn’t so hard ---- if you do end up going home and throwing up everywhere, don’t you dare look at me. I hope you remember that once you start drinking with me, we’re going for most of the night. So you better cancel your other plans, Cal”

               “I’m going to say it’s the name. As much as you do have a very cute smile, I think the fact that you can kill them within seconds and not die yourself sparks a hell of a lot of fear into them. Use that tactic tonight to get us both free drinks --- you’re one of the select few who I don’t have to convince, you and your brother”
