Amy has a second trigger/triggers with a different secondary power: to offset her inability to create matter, the Shaper gives her acess to a biomass-only hammerspace to store raw materials for later use. Being an efficient and biology-minded entity, the Shaper sees that humans already have the ability to ingest and disassemble organic matter and links the new power to Amy's digestive system. Unfortunately for Amy, that means that making use of this new ability requires her to eat whatever will provide the reagents she wants to stock up on. The power rewires her sense of taste and comes with a built-in biological imperative to replenish whatever supplies are low(see also: "hunger"). Since she heals people, the materials she expends most often are tissues found in the human body...
