#warriors is objectively bad but is it entertaining? absolutely #I'm still enjoying the fuck out of these books despite the plot holes and inconsistencies and very questionable decisions #i don't know why they made my favorite character a (by human standards) groomer/pedo for no fucking reason #but that's just how these books roll. the second arc protag is also definitely a pedo because cats apparently????#like again it's technically “common” or a part of the society but it's still questionable and I hate it #also all the random ass ableism and sexism firestar genuinely what the fuck????#others too but I was blindsided by the cinderpelt and brightheart stuff

#it's not a question of “if aliens are real” moreso “will we ever meet them befor the death of our planet”#given the “timeline” of the big bang and spacial expansion any alien civilizations would be at a similar level of advancement as us–#–if they are anywhere near us.#adding on to that the very unique circumstances of earth forming life would need to be replicated–#–and the chances of that happening again so close to where it's happened before is incredibly low.#even assuming we have aliens a galaxy or two over that's still a MASSIVE amount of distance that we may never be able to cross #even sending a non-human beacon would be incredibly difficult and wouldn't mitigate the time/distance issue #so yes aliens exist: but advanced societies that have been interfering with human development? absolutely not #and will we ever enter a star trek or star wars like era? also no. even reaching one society and then keeping contact is unlikely enough #additionally it's likely our planet will reach it's natural (or less natural) endpoint before we reach that level of technology #or otherwise manage to travel that far
