Just look at how strong he is in beating up all of those Nazi/HYDRA minions. He's also SUCH a sweetheart. He goes behind enemy lines to save his friend, even though he totally, like, didn't have to. And his friend died in the end anyways so #whatawaste. But it just shows you how awesome this guy is!
My next hero is totes a hottie and a cutie. He started out as this scrawny little guy, and ends up saving all of America from the evil guys. Pretty amazing huh?Â
Here’s another difficult one, Team Shosanna/Emmanuelle Mimieux or Team Lt. Aldo Raine? Brad Pitt is a total cutie, but I’ve got a total lady boner for the guys Shosanna had in burning down the Nazis!Â
How is this one difficult? Clearly, Shosanna is the true hero of the movie. Not only does she endure advances from the creeper Nazi egomaniac Fredrick Zoller, she also patiently, and with extraordinary self restraint, sits through the strudel scene with that Nazi SOB Hans Landa. She does all of this in furtherance of her plot to burn down Nazi leaders attending the film premier at her theater, taking down with it her theater and collection of films. She even loses her own life in the struggle, but not before assuring that Hitler himself would be burned to death.Â
On the other hand, what did smug American Aldo Raine contribute to defeating the Nazis? Pretty much nothing except for a few scalpings and questionable war tactics. He and his “Basterds” attempt to murder the top Nazi leaders at the film premier, which just overlaps Shosanna’s efforts. His horrible Italian accent only leads Landa to become suspicious of a possible plot against the Nazi leaders. If it weren’t for Raine and his plot, Landa may have stayed in the theater and died with the other Nazi leaders. Even though Raine and his “Basterds” incite a level of fear in the Nazis, it was Shosanna who brought down the regime by successfully pulling off her theater fire plot. Â
Um, you obvi didn't read the rest of my posts on Inglourious Basterds. Like, the Basterds still did so much to kill a bunch of Germans. That's like true hero status right there.Â
But this Shosanna/Emmanuelle lady was so brave in burning down the Nazis AND having to deal with the Nazi tool. Ugh, he was so gross. It's so sad that she died!!

I mean, just cruel, but that Nazi guy totally deserved it.Â
Look at how tough he is on the Nazis. They're right to be scared!Â

The boys were soooo brave about being on the Tokyo bombing mission. I mean, it was a super important mission to the President. I’m like, totally sad that hottie Danny dies at the end of the mission and never makes it back. I’m so not emotionally ready to post videos and photos of such a cutie dying. But I’m including this clip of what the Prez had to say, because it totally highlights how important those super brave and talented pilots were to the war. I mean, how many pilots have the skill to take off a fatty fat bomber from an aircraft carrier? That’s super cool and took mad skillz. And on top of it, they bombed the crap out of Tokyo in that one scene! Â
Colonel Doolittle himself says, “You know at Pearl they hit us with a sledgehammer. This raid, even if it makes it through, it’ll only be a pinprick… but it’ll be straight through their hearts.” Pearl Harbor, while devastating, was not detrimental to the U.S. war effort. If that attack could be deemed a “sledgehammer,” the “pinprick” is next to nothing. FDR might have found the mission absolutely necessary, if only for his own ego. His rationale to his Cabinet was that America is losing hope, and this raid must show that it has not lost its morale. However, in reality, he seems to really dislike being told that something can’t be done.
Either way, the attack was never designed to be a game changer like Midway or Hiroshima. It was a few planes, sent to do a very dangerous mission, risking and even losing the lives of a few elite pilots. Perhaps it may have boosted the morale of top military officers by seeing young men achieve the impossible, but the mission was deemed top secret and, to my knowledge, never covered in detail publicly. It did not cripple Japan’s industrial or military abilities and resulted in no more than the destruction of a few industrial compounds in Tokyo.
You're just so wrong and so oblivious. Have you seen those amazing boys? Rafe was like, one of the best pilots the U.S. had. He could pull off some amazing flying. Plus, he and Danny were both so brave, and I'm sure everyone who knew them were inspired by them. The war efforts were pretty shaky at the time, and I'm sure that knowing there are pilots like those two made many others fight so much harder. I mean, we won the war in the end, and even if like, one guy can't change the war, it would've been so much harder for the U.S. to win if we didn't have those amazing boys <3

Even this guy, their commander (and later colonel), said that America is going to win the war because of boys like Danny and Rafe.Â
Look at how brave they both were in fighting back against the Japanese. And they're super good at flying, so they could pull off playing "chicken" and making the bad guys crash into each other. They took down 7 enemy planes. The Japanese sure didn't come back for another round of attacks after they saw what those boys could do!
So here's another movie with some awesome WWII heroes: Pearl Harbor. I still can't decide who's hotter, Danny or Rafe. What do you guys think?
The Nazis get annihilated in the end, and they totally deserve every last bit of the angry Ark.Â

Like seriously, those snakes are sooo gross.Â
He even braves the snake pit. And snakes are like, the only things Indy is afraid of.Â
