Just look at how strong he is in beating up all of those Nazi/HYDRA minions. He’s also SUCH a sweetheart. He goes behind enemy lines to save his friend, even though he totally, like, didn’t have to. And his friend died in the end anyways so #whatawaste. But it just shows you how awesome this guy is!
Awesome or dumb? So he succeeded in what he did, but what's to say he did so inevitably? For example, when he blindly enters 30 miles behind enemy lines in order to save his friend from the war prison, he did so without any knowledge of what to do. His excuse was the "I have knocked Hitler over twenty times." But his punching out a fake Hitler on stage does not translate at all into his knowledge of war prison layouts or enemy defenses. What he did was dumb, and he got out fine because of sheer luck.
