LOST *

❝ fire ? no, i don’t smell anything. ❞ hands poised behind her back, she hopes they can’t see the smoke coming from that direction, lit branch still smoldering as she tries to unsuccessfully put it out without looking or moving enough to draw attention. ❝ that really is so odd. maybe someone’s having a campfire. ❞ 

“I know the feeling — not with working in an ER, but just having a job that makes you awake for long hours. I’m used to pushing myself for days at a time if needed.” Jason knows that’s not healthy, but hey — it was normal for him. “Good choice with that one.”

“ should you really be asking me that ? “ it was HARSH. vidar didn’t like how he was always so conflicted with his feelings towards theora. she saved his daughter and was his best friend’s sister so he should like her. he should feel like he owed her something for saving tova. but he also lost someone BECAUSE of her. he lost his baby sister and one of his closest friends. 

“Until I witness him obviously holding grudges when it is well past time to let them go, you are the only one to get one of these talks.  They have been separated for longer than they had been together. For the gods sake, Theora. You’re too old to act this way.”

“Adrian’s a fucking puppy most of the time so good luck with that.” Theora rolled her eyes. “It’s not like I’m going out of my way to seek out Althea and be a dick to her. Just the opposite, actually. I don’t have to like to her. I don’t have to talk to her. At all. And you don’t have to lecture me anymore.” 

Natasha watched the other; they must be joking. Surely they’re joking around no one would actually do something so silly as well as dangerous on school grounds, let alone out in the open. “Are you serious right now? What do you think you are doing?” 

“You can sneak off for a nap if you’d like, I wouldn’t tell anyone.” Jason says as he takes a seat down in the curb, looking at all the people helping to clean up the streets. His gaze turns back to Theora though after that. “All I know is we’re all going to be sleeping in tomorrow.”

carol was EXTREMELY GOOD at burying things and dealing with them at a later date , especially when it came to her own feelings as she dealt with traumatic things. right now she was struggling with TERROR but she had been able to visit hal and her children without them suspecting that she was going through her own thing. “ theora. “ carol was hoping that she’d find her best friend here. every possible scenario bounced around in her head of what could have happened to theora but thankfully she was safe. 

“But seriously, what would you do if the Purge was real?”

“Yet, you are the only person in this family who holds any ill will toward her. Perhaps it is your place.”

          Tired eyes reflect a rather disturbed sleep the night before , plagued by nightmares and whispers of the dead that Salem can’t do much to drown out. So he’s taken to indulging himself in the only available comfort out in the quad , normally relishing in the quietness of the studio but today finding the walls closing him in , to the point where he feels trapped. Canvas is covered by a plain sheet as he finds a table , eisel in a bag hanging from his back - but unable to find a spot alone , he sets his things near another. Meeting wandering eyes , there’s only a second of silence before he comments , ❝ It’s a OUIJA board. You in the mood to talk to some ghosts n’ demons ?? ❞

“At least they had that purpose. Back on point, why would talking to Althea be so bad?”

“Not my place to talk to her. Unless Adrian wants me to be rude to his ex-wife.”
